I attempted to check in for a reservation made Dec. 18 and the hotel attendant tried the Hotelwiz 3rd party card number 3 times and it declined. I called the customer service number and the first time I called I was hung up, then the second time was told that the "hotels department" is not working and I will have to pay for the room again and call back tomorrow for a refund. I requested to talk to a manager 3 times and was on hold for over 40 minutes before finally hanging up. Rediculous! I already paid for the room through Hotelwiz.com and now I have to pay again before I know a refund is being made! Terrible customer service! How in the world does a hotel booking service not have the "hotels department" working 24 hours when people check into hotels 24 hrs a day and run into problems?!?!
And now it is January 25th and I am still fighting them for a refund!

Misleading Cancelation Policy - Read Fine Print!
I booked and paid for a Cuban hotel stay, then tested Covid positive and had to cancel near the last minute. Hotelwiz website's cancellation policy was that I'd get 43% of my money back but buried in the "conditions" fine print was a note that my booking was "non-cancellable" so I'm out $US600. Legal I suppose but misleading and unethical. Suggest you avoid booking with Hotelwiz

Provided a refund for a non-refundable hotel
I booked a non-refundable room. My flight was cancelled, the actual hotel (Vdara) could not do a refund directly to me, and HotelWiz did not need to honor the refund. But they did. For that reason, I'll use them again.

This is a scam. I booked a hotel room weeks in advance, they charged my credit card $700, and when I arrived at the hotel, there was no reservation. I tried to contact them, and they were rude, unkind, and placed the blame on me. They never gave me a refund. I’m disputing the charge through my credit card.
