Originally ordered a fire in December…

Originally ordered a fire in December 2018 was told out of stock, Hot Price gave full refund back after requested but also kept me informed when the electric fire would be available.Re ordered in January and received within 7 days. Great service

Great choice on website

Great choice on website, good prices for nice looking fires compared to others. Delivery came within 10days on a pallet. Only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is, on the order confirmation I was told I would be contacted to arrange suitable delivery date. I checked email everyday, but eventually got a phone call from delivery driver who was at my house with the delivery! Luckily someone was in. Other than that I’m quite happy, and the fire looks good.

We recently purchased a high efficiency…

We recently purchased a high efficiency fire and I dithered about ordering online. The local gas shops were so expensive, so we took the plunge and we are so glad we did. The fire was delivered when they said it would be, and it looks lovely now it has been fitted. It saved us a lot of money, which is always good!

Excellent surround hearth and cast back but would liked the electric coal fire to have more movement to it so it looked more realistic. Other than that excellent service and delivery and good quality

Flamerite Cisco fire and Allerton surround…

Purchased fire and later the surround very pleased with both items delivery was great as the latter was palloted. Excellent service from Hotprice would use again without doubt..

NEVER AGAIN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bought Gas fire . had it fitted . Gas fire did not work properly, only two ceramics glowing red. BFM (fLAVEL Sent their engineer, he criticised my fitters work , but never turned the fire on !! My engineer rectified various faults( fitted isolator valve , filled in cracks in fireplace catchment area , cowel fitted on chimney .) Flavel engineer came back , still not happy, STILL DID NOT TURN FIRE ON TO SEE THE FAULT ! i had enough of this now and had the fire removed . Asked Hotprice for a returns number so i can return the fire , will not give me one , asked BFM to give me a returns number , will not give me one . I have even offered to drive to Stoke to return the fire , not allowed to take the fire back .. i just want them to bench test the fire at the factory and confirm that the fire is defective , they will not agree to test the fire . The fire has been turned on for 10 minutes = help help help i am going crazy . Neither BFM OR HOTPRICE will help me . They just keep asking for my Gas fitter to write a report . i will never deal with these people again . i beg someone from Hotprice or BFM to contact me and give me a returns number !!!!!! I I await their reply !!!!

Hello Mr.Compton Thankyou for replying to my review . You replied exactly as i knew you would . I totally agree with you about all the faults reported regarding the initial installation . Now lets move on -
Every one of the installation faults has been rectified . I employed a second gas safe engineer to do this . I had a brand new fire fitted which works perfectly . The fire which i purchased from you was faulty and is still faulty . I have it ready to return to you .I simply ask you for a returns number so that i can return it to you so that you can have the fire tested by the manufacturer . Is it so difficult to help a customer who has had enough , a customer who is totally disatified with your product , a customer who has been without a gas fire over the christmas period , a customer who has had enough of taking time off work to let your engineer into my house , for which i have been invoice £99. I have had enough of the stress and sleepless nights. Why should i be the one responsible for getting a report which states that the gas fire is faulty . Surely you should be responsible for getting the fire bench tested by Flavel. If the fire is found to be in good working order i will pay all the carriage costs . Now i ask you once again please can you give me a returns number so that i can return your faulty gas fire ? I hope any prospective customers will see how reluctant you are to help me .All i wanted was a new gas fire for christmas ! i still await a returns number and please do not keep asking me for an engineer,s report , i ask you for an engineer's report . I think the responsibility for a report lies with you , the supplier of a defective gas fire .

Good afternoon Mr Tomlinson,

Your review does not reflect the facts accurately.

Back in November, you advised us that you were having problems with the fire. We arranged with the manufacturer to send an engineer out to your property to assess the fault. Following this visit they advised the following information:

* No Isolating Valve was Fitted
* Poor Access to test the Nipple on the fire
* The Catchment Area was not the correct size
* There is no air relief in the closure plate
* The Copex liner was not sealed into the register plate
* The existing pipework was not sealed in the Catchment Area

The engineer advised that you would need your installer to come back to correct the installation errors. You then requested another engineers visit advising that the installation errors had been fully resolved, unfortunately when the Flavel engineer returned for the second time only one of the issues were corrected. The fire was labelled as at risk and a warning notice was issued.

The Flavel engineer has stated that it was the worst installation of a gas fire he had come across and has reported your installer to Gas safe who is the regulatory body for gas engineers.

We recommended that you get your original installer back to correctly rectify the errors in the installation or to engage a different gas safe engineer to do this for you. Whilst there were serious faults with the installation of the fire the engineer would not be able to light the fire as it is not safe to do so. Flavel have stated to you directly that they will arrange a third engineer visit if all the installation issues have been corrected and the fire could be safely assessed. We have also confirmed to you previously that once the installation met regulations if the fire was still not working correctly this would be resolved for you.

When you contacted us again today you stated that a British gas engineer had checked the fire and confirmed that it was faulty and not the installation and that you could provide paperwork confirming this after the fire was collected, you also stated the fire has been uninstalled and you have installed a different gas fire we requested a copy of the report to pass on to Flavel before any further action could be taken, you refused to provide this and instead threatened that “if we didn’t accept the return of the fire you would post a bad review and it would cost us more than it cost you”

As discussed today, we will be more than happy to help you resolve the issue if we receive the Gas Safe Report which states the product is faulty.
