Wasnt told that initial order would be 3 weeks delivery rather than 3 days - have to chase to find out. Ordered a different fire which when it did arrive was faulty. Had to order a further fire, as wouldnt give a refund until damaged fire was picked up and i was already delayed which was causing knock on costs. Waited a week for the fire to be picked up (later than advised) and it took me to chase twice to get my refund, which finally came through 3 weeks later.
It couldnt get any worse??

Good afternoon Mr Burbidge,
Firstly, I would like to apologise for the initial delay in your order. As previously explained, we order our stock directly from the supplier. Normally, they will contact us to advise extended lead times and we will always update our customers when we receive this information. On this occasion, we did not receive notification that this order was out of stock therefore we were unable to update you. I would also like to mention that the lead times mentioned on our website are dependant on stock levels at the time of your order.
As soon as you called, I went through alternatives with you and suggested the closest model to the original which was out of stock. Unfortunately, when you received the product it was damaged, not faulty. It had cracked glass on the fire and we offered replacement glass which we could have had delivered to you on a next working day serivce, this was declined and you wanted a new fire. At this point I explained to you that we would have to collect the damaged fire before sending out a replacement. You then stated that you wanted a replacement immediately therefore you chose to pay for a new fire and have a refund for the damaged fire as soon as it arrived with the supplier. As you can appreciate, we cannot authorise a refund or a replacement while you still have possession of the fire.
The courier that our supplier use to deliver Flavel Products also deliver and collect goods however as it not our courier, the delay in collection was outside of our control. Until this review, we have not been made aware that the product taken a week to be collected as you didnt mention this. You called us on the 10th July to advise that your fire has been collected and we advised that the fire has not been confirmed at the supplier. As soon as we received confirmation that the fire successfully arrived with them, I processed your refund immediately .
As previously explained, PayPal have their own rules and regulations regarding refunds, we can process the refund however it may take up to 7 working days to process. You called to chase your refund on the 18th and the refund was authorised on the same day. We cannot be held responsible for knock on costs as we would never reccomend booking a fitter until you have received the goods and they have been checked. This is to ensure that circumstances like this, can be avoided.

Fantastic service from start to finish
Fantastic service from start to finish. Ben is very knowledgable and patient! After our sixth visit to the showroom we made our decision! The fitters were fantastic too, left the house very tidy, although you are expected to remove your own rubble it is left bagged and tidy. You are told this at the point of sale though so this isn't a criticism. Would definitely recommend!

I ordered a Wall Mounted Electric Fire & Surround which arrived on time and the product was well packaged to avoid damage. It came with instructions to mount the fire which were simple to follow and the product looks great on our wall.

Easy to deal with best prices too.
Very good people to deal with after ordering the wrong fireplace i rang them to arrange returning it, the lady i spoke to couldnt of been more helpful i had no issues at all everything I had to do was made clear .
I then reordered the correct fireplace from them as their service was very good the new one arrived within a couple of days and was the best price i could find online so well done .

Extremely satisfied customers
We decided on hot price after extensive research trying to find the right company for the job and we are so glad we did. The team in store helped us choose the right stove for our home and the installation was perfect. The team turned up when they said, completed the job and cleaned up afterwards. We had a full demo on how to work the stove, and I am so grateful that we did (as first timers). I cannot recommend them enough. I love my stove and how its a stand out point of my living room. Amazing job!
After a disappointing visit to another local showroom we were told about The Heat Depot. From the first visit the staff were informative and professional, booking us in to have a survey done in the next couple of days.
Adam came to do the survey, he provided all the information we needed along with suggestions on what would look best for our room and promptly sent us an itemised quote for installation.
On instillation day, Adam, Dermott & Dan did an outstanding job. Our fit wasn’t straight forward but remained stress free for us as the guys just got on with it, working beyond 6pm to ensure it was finished. One minute the room was full of sheeting and tools, the next clean and tidy with a lovely new stove!
Absolute professionals in their field and the nicest workmen to have in your house! We are well impressed with our stove and the overall look. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone. Fab job fellas!

Excellent service for our new Fireline FX5W stove.
We were given very balanced advice about the choice of stove and hearth with clear information and no attempt to push a stove which was more expensive or elaborate than we needed. The survey was done promptly and helpfully. After the order was placed the installation was carried out punctually, efficiently, with no mess by friendly well organised men. The chimney was swept and lined. A new chimney pot and cowl were supplied and fitted. Clear instructions were given as to how to use the stove and we have found it burns very easily and economically. The stove we have put in is the Fireline FX5W which we'll use for wood only.

The usual lead time for the item you purchased can sometimes take up to 10 days but it seems on this occasion, the fire was in stock and we were able to arrange a much quicker delivery than expected. We're sorry we weren't able to inform you that you would receive it the day after ordering and hope it wasn't too much of an inconvenience.

Log burner installation
Dermott and Daniel came to my house this week and fitted my new log burner. I am over the moon with it and their work is exceptional.
From the minute they arrived they totally exceeded my expectations. They discussed everything with me before completing the work and All the work they carried out is fantastic ranging from the fitting of the fire, the electrics and the plastering. I cannot believe that for such a dirty job how clean they left my house both internal and external.

Stovax Studio 2 Duplex Fitting
Because we were very specific with our requirements we wanted a company to project manage the work from start to finish. After initially speaking with the sales team we were assured that what we wanted could be provided. They described the work with passion and appeared very knowledgeable. This gave us confidence in the company and the work they were to undertake.
Prior to fitting we were visited by Adam who assessed our needs and reassured us that the work required could be done. He also made suggestions as to improving what we initially wanted.
On the day of fitting the guys were very friendly and considerate throughout the whole day. Once completed we were provided with a demonstration of how to work our new fire and advised us on the type of wood to use etc.
As part of the project we had a tiler come to tile the fireplace after installation. Again, he was punctual and friendly. He did a great job and left our fireplace looking beautiful.
Just under a week later I received a phone call from Adam to ask how everything is going, any issues etc. Great customer service.
Overall we couldn’t have had better service from end to end. They have left our house looking even better than we wished.
