Jack and Martin deliveredand put together my bed on the 2nd June.
The staff were professional and friendly they shared the workings of the bed and all the warrantys excellent staff I couldn't praise the service they offered high enough.

After 55 years of marriage we decided we would treat ourselves to a new settee. We visited both Bristol and Bath stores and after great thought, and I feel, research we ordered two settees from the Bath store. Sue and Jennie were so helpful and that is why I have given it one star. They knew we were decorating and delayed the delivery date to accommodate this. The settees were delivered. The reclining settee came minus the necessary bolts and splitter cable although the driver found some 'spares' in his van. Once the settees were put together it was obvious there were some issues as the two halves of both settees didn't line up and there was a flaw in the material on one of the seats. The drivers were unable to rectify and reported back to the office. There was prompt response from the office who arranged to send a technician out to view and correct. The technician arrived and dealt with the flaw but was unable to level up the two halves of the settees. He concluded that there was no action to be taken as all issues which caused the two halves not to line up with each other was within their tolerance levels. We were still not happy so arranged for another technician to call and inspect. He was able to level up the recliner settee as it would appear it had not been bolted together correctly. The static settee however still did not align and remains one side higher than the other and therefore all stitching on the cushions are out of alignment with each other.
We asked for the settees to be replaced, but HSL hide behind this 'tolerance' label and say there is nothing more they can do.
Sadly, paying what we did for these two settees which wasn't cheap, we feel very disappointed. Regretfully we must now live with the disappointment of HSL not living up to the standards of workmanship we expected from such a respected company. Obviously our expectations did not match HSL’s standard of production. We expected perfection and sadly we didn’t get it.
Having been brought up in a family of upholsterers and soft furnishing experts I did know what I expected and now we have to live with these settees that did not meet our expectations at all.
Our order was placed in November 2024 and it has taken this long to reach a 'conclusion'.

Very helpful staff in the Bath showroom. We went there on 2 occasions and on both times we had plenty of time to choose our sofa and chair. The second time was to choose the materials which takes a while but we were never rushed. Friendly and constructive advice and a cup of tea! Different staff on the 2 occassions - equally helpful.

Staff were very welcoming & carefully sized me up for the correct size of chair.
They ensured my knee & ankles were correctly supported along with my neck. Interestingly a Grande chair was found to be the best fit.
Coffee & biscuits were very nice too!

I drove my sister to your shop at Odd Down Bath and were greeted by 2 smiling ladies Julie and Sue my sister wanted to purchase a bed and found the 2 staff most helpful and knowledgeable after trying the 3 beds in store my sister
purchased 1 of them we were also given tea/coffee and biscuits which was a nice gesture.

We had previously bought from HSL and had been very pleased with the purchase. We returned to buy a second chair. Service is excellent, helpful , with sound knowledge of the products sold. Delivery last time was also very good and earlier than expected with very helpful staff.

Susan was very helpful & knowledgeable in organizing the right chair for me.

We had a very pleasing experience visiting the Bath showroom.
Julie and Sue were very friendly and helpful answering our queries and taking us through the options to help us make the right decision in purchasing our furniture.

My husband has Parkinson’s and our old bed just wasn’t working for him anymore. I phoned HSL as we’ve used the company before. They sent out sample mattresses to try . And a week later we have an adjustable bed. One team took away the old king size bed . No mean feat and set up the old one. Great job lads. Used HSL before and would certainly phone them again.

Excellent delivery by Edwin and Garry, adjustable bed was built in quick time and placed where required, along with a chair. Both were very polite and explained clearly the controls for the bed.

Very friendly delivery by Edwin and Garry. My chair, footstool and cushions arrived in immaculate condition and were placed exactly where I wanted them without me having to re-arrange anything later. Edwin and Garry were very careful bringing everything in and leaving absolutely no mess behind, not even a trace of a footprint on a wet morning. I am very impressed with this company - from showroom to manufacture to delivery HSL has got it spot on. Thank you!

We got an ETA the day before delivery, and Edwin and Garry arrived spot on time. We were able to track their vehicle on route and had the gates open for them.
