HSL Chairs - Letchworth Reviews 

This is one company where the customer really is KING. From arriving in the car park to find the entrance door held open in welcome and through the whole relaxed sales process we felt valued and were well looked after by Liz and the team. As a Sales Manager in a former life I can appreciate the whole experience.

From our first phone call & subsequent welcome to the Letchworth store in September 2025 by Graham who spent a long time guiding us through the best chair for me, to delivery today by Martin & Leon just over 5 weeks later our experience from all involved has been first class.

We called into the Letchworth branch today and received excellence service from Michele. She was really friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Michele took the time to make sure Mum could find a chair that was perfect for her, and made the whole experience a pleasure. We even got a cup of tea and biscuits!

A lovely gentleman named Graham helped me to find my perfect riser/recliner. I was surprised to find that there was a choice of chairs for me to try, even though I am of substantial weight. The chair I finally chose was so comfortable I didn't want to go home. The price was very reasonable . I was offered refreshments and the folder I was given held not only the paperwork but a sample of the fabric I had chosen. How thoughtful. It was a really lovely experience. Would highly recommend.

Yesterday we bought two chairs from your Letchworth branch. We dealt with Donella who was wonderful. She met us at the door, gave us a cup of tea and biscuits and "listened" to our requirements before offering us a solution, something that is very lacking today when doing physical shopping. So thank you to Donella and HSL for providing a great service.

The quality of the sofa and chair is good. The staff at Letchworth were very friendly and helpful. The delivery staff Jason and Ashley were very helpful and on time. They set up the sofa and chair for us.

I recently went into the Letchworth Garden City branch and saw Graham who was brilliant. He couldn't have been more helpful. Great jo!

First purchased the chair in the Letchworth store, the employees there were so great and helpful. They also where so kind and caring understanding that my dad who was with me who we where purchasing the chair for has some issues so can be difficult to deal with. They were great and made him really relaxed and happy.
The first delivery attempted delivery didn’t go so well and wish it could have gone smoother due to faults on both ends.
Second delivery was amazing Jason & Ashley where great, they where skilled getting the heavy chair up 2 flights of stairs and threw a series of doors, they knew exactly how to get the awkward shape chair in and did it all in about 10/15 minutes. Very pleased and great customer service from these 2 employees and the Letchworth store.

Diane was very helpful and knowledgeable.

She was very pleasant in her approach and not at all pushy.

She made the transaction efficiently and was very good at her job.

I would recommend your business to my friends who may also be suffering with arthritis as I am.

My wife and I went to buy a settee and chair at the Letchworth branch. We were made very welcome by Graham who was a true gentleman. We were given plenty of time to choose and even got tea and biscuits. The furniture we eventually bought was great.

From entering the Letchworth Shop to leaving we had the most wonderful time with the staff. They were encouraging and extremely helpful, very professional and knowledgeable. Our chairs arrived
7th October, delivered by 2 very efficient men and we are very very pleased with them. Also delivery was 2 weeks earlier than scheduled. Thank you.

It was so nice to be greeted at the door by a friendly face. Donella was helpful giving useful advice and ready to answer my questions. I did not feel pressured but found under Donella's guidance a decision was easy. I look forward to taking delivery of my chair.

We were advised by Liz at the Letchworth store, who was both knowledgeable and helpful. An overall great experience with a particularly good fit for our needs.

Graham at Letchworth was extremely helpful. However after ten weeks I followed up the order and was told it would be delivered in four days time. Would have liked more notice.
Delivery drivers offhand and failed to hand me the Safety and Operating instructions which we found underneath the back of the chair.

From the door being opened for us, for making us feel welcome with no pressure of a sale. Our comfort specialist Donella at Letchworth was amazing, amazing service, new her products and made it very easy to help my dad choose the right chair for him.

What a lovely experience we had when we visited HSL Letchworth, we chose the worst day to visit as the heavens had opened and the rain was pouring down, a lovely gentleman came out to the car with umbrella’s and helped us to get my Mum into the shop, she was treated with the utmost respect, this man introduced himself as Graham, well what can I say, Graham was so friendly kind, and knowledgeable of the products at HSL but also the company itself, we were treated like royalty, we had a truly great morning with Graham and his colleagues, we had lovely tea and coffee and delicious biscuits, there was no rush for them to get a sale, we were treated very respectfully, and Mum’s needs and requirements were discussed fully, Lots of information provided on the operational requirements of the riser chair and options of colour and materials and delivery details were explained fully.
I would recommend this company to anyone who is looking for new comfortable seating. Can’t fault any aspect of this company, we highly recommend them, can’t wait for our chair to arrive. Thank you so much to Graham and his colleagues and HSL.
