My Dad came to look at a chair for his legs. Kim our assistant was amazing. She was professional and kind no pressure to buy. Products are so much better than the competition

My husband and I had a great experience at the Hatch End shop.
Our sales lady Ellie was extremely kind and very helpful in every way to help us find the perfect chair.
Maria was equally helpful and served us coffee too.

We went for HSL chairs because being elderly we find it hard to get out. From the initial phone call to the delivery of chairs, the service we have got has been very helpful and professional. We had a chair brought out to us to try which was brilliant for us and the home consultants were very polite and friendly. The customer service from HSL has been exceptional. We are very pleased with our new chairs, they have made life easier.

Usually when we go into a store we like to look around before being asked if we need help BUT this store is different and in a great way.

When you walk in this store it's an experience like no other. It was like clothes shopping but for a sofa, with a "personal assistant" (Maria, the Manager in this instance) who certainly knew what she was talking about, checking how you sit, where your head, shoulders and back are and where you feet sit when you lay back, it honestly was an amazing experience.

Please do not believe the persona of this store, it is NOT for the older generation only, it offers a personalised service which you do not get elsewhere, the sofas are beautifully made and with so many different materials to choose from you can sit with a coffee and biscuit whilst you make your choices or ask any questions you may have.

Maria, it was an absolute pleasure meeting you and sharing stories about fishing, thank you so much for your help.

Excellent service from Brian at Southampton branch

Kim in Southampton branch very helpful, but led to believe base of chairs easily removable as door to snug room narrow. When Edwin & Chris delivered chairs yesterday, they advised bases not removable and chairs had to be squeezed through with some effort with backs reclined. Looking forward now to enjoying chairs!

we received the information we required and had plenty of time to discuss our needs with friendly and helpful staff. We could try examples of the sofa we were considering. The whole experience was enjoyable and satisfactory.

We had a fantastic experience at the Hedge End store when buying a chair for our elderly mother. Germaine provided truly outstanding service—friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly patient. She took the time to understand exactly what we needed and helped us find the perfect chair that offered both comfort and support.

The delivery was equally impressive. It arrived right on time, and the two gentlemen who brought the chair were super helpful—polite, efficient, and careful with both the item and our home. They made the whole process stress-free, which we really appreciated.

The design of the chairs needs to be examined. It appears little consideration has been given to disabled people using the chair. The pocket, for the controller, is too low and too close to the rear. There are no blind nipples on any of the control buttons. The hard floor feet are not fit for purpose, they slide the chair over the floor!!

Professional and efficient throughout. Took the time to fully understand my needs and requirements. The entire experience was smooth, seamless, and — above all — genuinely enjoyable.

Maria at Hedge End store made it an enjoyable experience. She was there to help and advise but not being “pushy” and she knows her stuff.
Maria’s colleagues were also very helpful.
Only downside with HSL … no 0% credit or any credit. Have to pay deposit then balance 2 to 3 weeks later.
Furniture, in leather, 10/12 weeks delivery and a delivery charge irrespective of how much is spent and paid up front.

Although I would recommend HSL, Hedge End, Southampton.

Assistant was very good at explaining all aspects of the chair, and clear with her explanations.

Explored HSL as an option for a new recliner chair and visited the Southampton branch.

We were shown around a variety of Chairs by Germaine and the service and time taken with us was excellent.

We had a super quick delivery ..however the wrong item was unfortunately delivered and a small admin issue happened.

But importantly - this was not a problem for long because the issue was quickly resolved and efficiently with good communication by the head office (Jon) and the wider team.

2 weeks later the new chair was delivered following excellent communication en-route.

Edwin and Garry quickly set up the chair and demonstrated it.

Would definitely recommend HSL for future purchases based on this experience.

Came to my Dad's house and were very patient and helpful while he chose a riser recliner. We actually bought the demo chair on that day as it was perfect for his needs and they even rearranged all the furniture for him so could start using his new chair straight away!

Brian welcomed us at the door and from that moment on, we experienced the most thoughtful and caring interaction with an employee, that I think I have ever experienced in any shop. Brian’s knowledge of the product range and his description of the various features, allowing us plenty of time to consider every chair available, was both considerable and supportive. We were even given a cup of tea and biscuits and a quiet place in the showroom to consider a very substantial purchase. We left the showroom very happy with our purchase and confident that we hadn’t at any point been rushed into making a “snap” decision. Thank you Brian for your wealth of knowledge and outstanding customer service!

I've just received my sofa from HSL. It is excellent quality & British made. Fantastic comfort & nice design & material. Service & communication was good. Delivery was excellent, with special thanks to Justin for his helpfulness & consideration.

We bought a two seater recliner from this branch of HSL in December and it is so comfortable! We started our journey to find a sofa in October, starting with HSL. The frontage of the shop is quite narrow, but the store goes back a long way and actually holds a good variety of different chairs and suites.

The staff are really friendly and helpful and they know their products well. But they are not at all pushy and so we just spent our time sitting for a while in various chairs until we found the model we liked.

HSL are not at the ‘cheap’ end of this market. We decided to visit a number of the other large furniture stores in the Hedge End area and sat in a lot of sofas. Whilst we found cheaper, we did not find anything as comfortable as what we found at HSL We are so glad we chose this settee; it is comfortable, supportive and also looks good in our lounge.

We would certainly recommend this company and the Hedge End branch.
