I am awaiting receipt of my third "Henry Tomkins" creation. The other two have not worn out or suffered breakages of any kind in fact over ten and fifteen years of heavy use they have improved with age. Henry's work is lovely, the materials are lovely and in my contact with Henry he has been lovely. So you can keep your status symbol (why when ever third person has one... mind you I do live in Essex) over priced "designer brands" I am Henry Tomkins for life!

I bought The Large Zipper as a present for my daughter.
It is an absolutely beautiful bag. The leather is extremely high quality as is the craftsmanship. You will not find a better place to buy a hand made leather bag than from Henry. Lovely man to buy from, kept me updated with my purchase and dispatch. Can highly recommend. Thank you Henry.

Henry made a lite briefcase at very short notice so I could take it back to Australia with me. I was delighted to receive it, it is a fabulous, high quality briefcase at a reasonable price. It is just what I wanted, smart, high quality, will last a long time and it was made in the UK, not China. I would highly recommend his services.

I've had one of Henry's briefcases for over 20 years. I still love it, even though I have no real use for a briefcase any more! I emailed him today for advice on giving it a little TLC and he responded almost immediately. A friend also has had his for a similar amount of time after seeing mine.

I have recently received the leather briefcase that I had ordered from Henry. I was impressed by his honesty, as well as his craftmanship. Henry was always accommodating to my requests and queries. The quality of the bag itself was fine, the leather was thick and of good quality. Unfortunately it seemed that some of the coating from the brass lock had chipped off, but buffing and polishing should take care of it. The bag itself did not come wrapped in bubble wrap or any other protective material which was a shame as it may of protected the brass coating from chipping. In conclusion I do believe that the bag was worth the money. I would be happy purchasing from Henry again.

I wanted a small satchel but slightly adapted to be 12" instead of 13". Henry was really accommodating and helpful. My bag is absolutely beautiful and I love it very much. This is my fourth purchase from Henry. I am so pleased.

The DayPack I bought and was made is super. Just what I needed. The attention to detail, look, feel and indeed price, is all perfect!

Recently purchased the Essential Briefcase and could not be happier with it.

It is solidly built, handsomely designed, and an incredible value for the level of craftsmanship. The leather has a great color and the details are perfect. Henry also was very responsive and helpful. I can not recommend HT Leather highly enough!

I bought a bag from Henry nearly 10 years ago now and it’s ageing beautifully. Looking for the perfect first I ordered a student satchel, the item arrived today and it’s more perfect than I could have imagined. Clear and courteous communication throughout, A bag to last a lifetime.

Henry kindly agreed to replicate my favourite bag, a little battered after 20 years of wear, and whose maker, sadly, is now deceased. All the details, the dual colour finish, pigskin lining, interior pockets and exterior detailing, is exactly as I requested. I found Henry's understanding and willingness to accommodate my pernickety desire for "same again" very reassuring, and the outcome is excellent. I feel like I have my 'old friend' back again. This is an unusual bag, and the only way to replicate it is to find an artisan one can trust. Henry Tomkins has proved to be that person.
