No respect to customer operations. Deflective Support.

My experience with Hubstaff was as bad as of the other reviewers.

I paid for a yearly subscription and about 6 months in have decided to unlink my credit card to prevent unintended payments in the future. Within a few hours the account was forcibly moved to a free plan, disrupting all time tracking and integrations.

Hubstaff Support told me it was as intended and they wouldn't restore our paid subscription unless the card is re-linked. Which pissed me off to be honest as their technical/internal decisions should have no effect on the obligation to provide the service that was paid for.

To avoid disrupting operations I had to re-link the card.

Given the disrespect to customer operations, I requested account cancelation and a refund for the remaining period, intending to move to a different vendor, which was again rejected referring to their "policy" along with some nonsense explanation, not addressing the issue at hand.

At no point has anyone at Hubstaff acknowledged the problem and expressed any intention to fix it. They did offer me 7 extra days of subscription as compensation though, to be fair, but at this point all I wanted is to move on from Hubstaff.

Your organization being suspended after you had removed your card was indeed a bug on our side. Once you pay for your subscription, it will stay active until the period comes to an end. Therefore, the suspension was not intended, and our Team was able to activate the organization in the end.

I've had a deeply unsettling experience…

I've had a deeply unsettling experience with this application. Despite clear terms, I was charged an amount surpassing what was agreed upon. When trying to address the issue, it seemed like the support system is designed to deflect rather than assist. While I eventually reached a higher-level manager, the ordeal shed light on potentially deceptive billing practices that I believe are aimed at extracting more money from users. For small businesses, like mine, trust is paramount. It's disappointing to see corporations resort to such tactics. Users deserve transparency and respect, especially when it comes to billing. I'd advise potential users to be wary.

I personally do not like using a timed tracker at my job, but alas, it's what I have to do to stay employed.
