Ordered the product in April 2024 and I just keep getting my delivery date postponed for reasons like manufacturing delays, testing product delays etc.
This seems like a proper scam. DO NOT BUY anything from this seller. I've raised a complaint via PayPal as well.
I'm sure there will be some automated response with an apology and an update that my product order will be dispatched. If you are a serious business then please post proof of postage as a response to this review.
I now really doubt they even have the Hudway Drive product. Extremely disappointed and gutted.

Failing to deliver after 21 months
I have been waiting 21 months for HUDWAY to deliver on an order places on 3 October 2022, consisting of:
1 x Hudway Drive
1 x Hudway Drive Camera Set.
which I paid just under $1,000 Au.
Each request for deliver was answered with excuses and further promises of delivery dates.
To date, I have made 6 complaints to HUDWAY resulting in a long winded and worded reasons why they have not delivered, and yes, the old goody, COVID, was there, along with unavailability of parts and components.
The last response was tracking details to be emailed out on 20 June 2024, and yet 24 days later no response.
And, NO, nothing in my SPAM of JUNK folder.
DO NO PREPAY - BETTER STILL - LOOK FOR A VEHICLE WHICH ALREADY HAVE IT FITTED.

THEY DON'T TRUST THEIR PRODUCT!
It's unfortunate that I'm forced to give this company a 1-star rating, as I believe they don't even deserve that. This is a result of the limitations of Trustpilot's review system, which doesn't allow for a lower rating.
I ordered a Headway Drive in May 2023, and they said it would take 6 months for pre-order delivery. Now, it's been almost 15 months and counting, and I still don't have the product.
Upon persistent follow-ups, they mentioned in Apr 2024 that they are shipping in May, and keep checking your inbox or spam folder. I have been religiously checking every day, and I believe they aren't a serious business and need more integrity; it's hard to trust their word!

Very Early Adopter’s Opinion!
I have been an early adopter and backed the campaign through Indiegogo for more than a year before the unit was in production. The unit works great 👍 and the display is so helpful!
Is the unit perfect??? No it is not but few things are! An early version of the navigation was terrible but the company replaced it with something much better. Now it works great and I would urge you to “Take a chance” … you’ll not be disappointed! The company has always been very supportive and quick to respond to technical questions. They really care about providing a good product at a reasonable price.

Hudway Drive feedback
This is one of the most amazing pieces of technology I've seen and used. Hudway has certainly made this extremely advanced, with a great HUD, easy to use, connect, cast/mirror a phone screen, connect to the Obd2 port on board, electronic blind spot coverage using cameras, electronic reverse camera and even night vision technology.
In addition to the product, the response from the customer service and support is the icing on the cake.

Terrible experience
Terrible experience. I paid for the product 15 months back and the delivery schedule has slipped by more than a year. There was no warning of how long it will take to deliver and response from their costomer care is a standard template address none of your questions. I don't even know how to order a refund.

I was part of the first round of funding for this device and was more than eager to get it after another driver rear-ended me and destroyed my vehicle. The side cameras and "forward-looking" perspective is something I desperately needed to ease my post-accident nerves. The device functions as promised and I've been very happy with its performance. It's still working perfectly today! Since I didn't want to commit to a permanent placement of the unit, I actually made my own; an improvised, weighted GPS stand that allows me to move the HUD around my dashboard. My only complaints: I could not find any documentation on how to best clean the glass. Secondly, they need to sell a carrying case for the top part of the device; leaving something like this in your car in Portland, Oregon is a clear call for disaster! I eventually found a case on Amazon (that I modded) but it'd be great to have a case made specifically for this device.

It's been a difficult journey with Hudway. At times I have been so angry I couldn't see straight but I have come to believe that the company leaders ARE doing everything they can to make a good product and take care of their customers.
By the way, the product is really great. I use it every day and when I'm driving a different car, I miss my HUD.

I have been a supporter since Hudway first started up - and have two head units - one in each of my cars.
The concept is an excellent one - and, when it works correctly, really helps my ability to drive safely. Regrettably, I have has issues with both of the units I own. In one case intermittent power faults and the other a connectivity issue. It's important to note that Hudway stood by their product and have replaced both units - and that this is why they have received a good rating from me. The small team have reacted quickly to my queries and worked hard to troubleshoot the problems before sending out replacements.
The replacement units are now functioning correctly and reliably. I really miss the display when I'm driving a car that isn't equipped with a Hudway.
I'm putting the initial problems down to a bad early batch. You never know the quality of a company until you run into a snag - this is where the Hudway team shine - they made sure they did everything in their power to get things fixed or replaced as soon as possible.
I would recommend Hudway without hesitation.

I still use Hudway after moving to a more advanced car.
I have been using my Hudway for a few years now. I have switched cars since I've the device. I went from a car that never really did well with emails and I was unable to get them announced when they arrived through the car. The Hudway was great as it showed the text. I purchased it mainly to interact with my entertainment system and texts notifications which it did wonderfully, and of course the HUD. I became addicted to the HUD. While my new car has Android Auto, so it takes care of all the notifications, maps, and such. I still like the ability to see directions and speed in the HUD, so I still use it. It no longer seems to work with the ODB, but since my new car has all that info built in, it's not as important. Great product, just needs some tweaks to keep up with new cars and changes in the ability to work with the changing interfaces.

Most of all is the team at HUDWAY, especially Polly! Professional, friendly, and always there to help. What is also important is they always have this amazing attitude of wanting to fix an issue. I purchased the HUDWAY DRIVE, THE SIDE AND REAR CAMERA KIT. I got this for my son’s car and it works perfectly. Since my son’s Hyundai i30 was already equiped with a rear camera, we installed the camera as a front camera. He now has “eyes” all around. It certainly has enhanced road safety for him by increasing his SA( situational awareness!) The Hudway drive and cameras work beautifully, clear and very reliable. It’s completely hands free with messages being displayed momentarily on the HUD. I mark a company by its attitude. The team at Hudway are to be saluted for their belief in their product and their devotion to its success. I have my support. Well done and all the very best! Thank you.

Enhancing my 40 year old classic car....
I have had the privilege of being one of the first to have a Hudway Drive HUD. It is mounted in my 1984 SAAB turbo and provides me useful information in addition to a backup camera, side mirror cams and a FLIR camera. It is addictive to have important data show up whilst driving like phone calls, music choices and car functions like actual speed, top speed reached etc. The screen is clear and bright. It positively transforms the experience of driving and improves greatly the functionality of a car from the 80’s lacking so much technology. These features are so awesome that when I transition to my more modern cars, I miss some of those features; and not having to take my eyes off the road. In short - I *love* it!!

I hate driving without it.
Since I’ve had my Hudway drive I have enjoyed driving again. I use it everyday. It’s reliable and I hate driving without it. I don’t feel as safe having to take my eyes off the road. Also, customer service is awesome! Whenever I’ve had questions, they always respond to my emails within 24 hours. This device has made driving safer and more enjoyable for me.

Hi, I supported the project and I’m happy of that. This is the best project I joined at all. It was my dream to have a head up display and Hudway fulfilled my expectations.
Im using hudway every day. We made together already 192430 km what means, we do in average 80.000 km/year.
There are some small issues, but they are small.
I’m working in R&D, with prototype constructions which nobody knows, products they will appear on the market in 3 from the first running prototype. The time is for testing, gain experience, change materials etc. If I would wait 3years from the first hudway prototype that went for testing in hard vibration conditions, high temps and UV radiation, the unit would, no doubts, be perfect for sure. But I wanted it to get immediately, and I got it.
I know that it is not perfect, but I expected it.
Long story short, I like Hudway. I gives me safety, I see the speed, I’m focused on the road, I’m concentrated on driving👍
