I bought the Humeband

I bought the Humeband - because I am not as satisfied with the Google acquisition of Fitbit and the new app giving me less data. The Humeband gives me much more complete information especially sleep and activity!
I wear it always and rarely need to charge it !
Buy one, and you will love it - a very satisfied 72 year young user !

Exceptional Customer Service by Ellaine!!

Ellaine , my Hume customer service rep was terrific. Her response to my issue was immediate and complete and I was completely satisfied with the resolution. I have the Hume band and pod and couldn't be more pleased with the products allowing me to track all critical wellness data points at a very reasonable cost.

Generally disappointing

After doing some research on wearables (comparing the likes of Oura, whoop, garmin, hume etc) I decided to give the Hume Band V2 a go. At the price (and supposedly without a monthly subscription) it seemed like the best option.

The marketing for the band is great - really sold it to me - but now I've had it for a couple of weeks I can see that it over promises and under delivers.

Gripe 1: the battery life is terrible. I've seen some people claim that it can last 10+ days but I've never managed more than 3. I'm quite active (daily exercise) which might be the cause - but to market the device with 10+ days of battery life and only get 2-3 is pretty bad. The plus side here is that is doesn't take very long to charge.

Gripe 2: The data isn't great. The app itself is slick but the data is gives is aggregated and not that useful for tracking wellness/recovery in relation to exercise. If you're looking for something to help you manage training load and recovery - this is not the band for you. On top of this, the data isn't even that accurate! The sleep tracking, resting heart rate and heart rate are all wildly inconsistent and inaccurate.

Gripe 3: The band itself. I frequently have issues with that band not tracking at all, despite being charged. I've used the 'activity' tracking for walks and gym and at some points the data drops to 0. What good is a wearable if it doesn't work when you need it most?

Gripe 4: Monthly sub. One of the main reasons for buying this band was the lack of monthly sub. Unlike whoop and oura, the cost is the best thing about the hume band. But after receiving it and seeing the data, it looks like you actually need to pay the monthly sub to get any useful week to week data analysis.

Overall I'm highly disappointed with the Hume band. I'd return it if I kept the original packaging!

Hi James,

Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback.

I'm sorry to hear that your experience with the Hume Band hasn't met your expectations.

I understand your concerns regarding battery life, data accuracy, activity tracking, and the Premium experience. Battery life can vary depending on usage, with features such as frequent activity tracking and data syncing increasing power consumption. While Hume Plus offers additional insights and long-term analysis, the Hume Band can still be used without a subscription.

I'd genuinely love the opportunity to look into the issues you've described, particularly the tracking gaps and inconsistent readings, as this isn't the experience we aim to provide. Please send an email to our Support team and address it to my attention, or reopen your existing email thread if you've already contacted us. I'll personally review your recorded data and work with you to identify the cause and determine the most appropriate resolution.

I appreciate the opportunity to make this right.

Best regards,

I bought this as a way to track my body weight and fat composition . From the start I found it frustrating to connect with blue tooth and to even get it to turn on so much so I used it only a few times as it took so long to connect and would not stay in my list of connected devises. I even bought the extended app subscription I really wanted this my weight device . After several months were I gave up on it I retried again today and I could not get it to work frustrated to say the least . Please don’t buy this product it is second rate and not capable of doing smoothly what it is suppose to do

I have been using the Hume Band 2.0…

I have been using the Hume Band 2.0 since July 3 and its battery is at 40% now (07/20/2026). I am satisfied with its performance, as it gives me information about my body's functioning and condition. This way I know when I need to change my daily habits to improve my health. I have heart problems and prediabetes, but my results are improving. Great stuff.

Fantastic customer service

I bought the Hume Band 2.0. It seemd really good but I decided to return it as, for now, I am still using my Oura ring and Apple Watch. I contacted HUME customer service to tell them I wanted to return it. They were fantastic. They suggested I try it for a period of time but if I decided to return it, no problem. I did and they were great. Writing this because some of the reviews critized the customer service and I found the opposite. Great group of people.

I had a great experience with Hume Health customer support. Andrew was friendly, helpful, and handled my issue quickly and professionally. After my Hume band came off and was lost, they arranged a replacement without any hassle. Excellent customer service, great communication, and a company that clearly looks after its customers. Thank you again, Andrew. Highly recommended.

PHENOMENAL SUPPORT - Thank You Andrew!!

PHENOMENAL SUPPORT!!! When I purchased the OG band and pod I made sure to get the subscription yearly. I did not realize that came with an upgrade. Totally worth it and got outstanding world class support from Andrew through Hume. Made my day learning they're going to put a 2.0 which has a lot of newer features and the extended battery life. Rated 5* and I would have rated higher. Again - excellent customer service and response time!!

The band is great

The band is great! The ONLY thing I don’t is it doesn’t display your heart rate more than hourly and it doesn’t take into account chronic sickness for energy expenditure.

Dexa Scan in your home.

My wife and I have been with Hume for 2 years now. Paying the small fee to have the subscription has been worth every cent. The data and easy of understanding it, is what makes Hume the stand out of the competition. Dealing with Kim to upgrade our bands to the latest 2.0 has been an absolutel pleasure. If you care about your health and have ever had a dexa scan, well now you can have that and more right in your home. Excellent customer service, fantastic products, don't even waste your time reviewing other products. Hume is the leader in this field.

Great little band, monitors so much and syncs with my iPhone and Apple Watch

I have a heart condition and an Apple Watch that doesn’t quite cover my needs. I’ve had my Hume band a few weeks now and it is synced with my watch & iPhone. It monitors so much that it’s amazing. In the hot weather it reminds me to hydrate, checks my pulse, sleep patterns and even my blood pressure, although I do have a cuff that I use daily. It puts my mind at rest and more importantly, my husband’s, who worries about me when he’s working long hours. I’ve been really impressed with this band and barely notice it being there apart from the buzzing reminders. It’s great that it syncs with my watch and phone, there’s so much information there for me to review. I’ve told friends about it and they’re getting themselves one. I’m really happy with mine.

Great customer service

Great customer service as I had a few questions before purchase. Once I received my 2.0 band I have had no issues. I find the information it provides very helpful to aid my health journey. Very happy with this purchase.
