Shut down my service and lost all my contacts. Horrible company

Suspension without notice, agressive customer service, sloppy code. Does anyone really likes it? Stole $5 from me. What a 'great' business. Worst digital experience I had for a while.

Never use Hushed. I had an account (number) for unlimited calls and text because i thought it was a great solution for calling overseas. i am stuck and needed to make phone calls to embassy's and different institutions to go back home. hushed blocked my number saying i was overusing the network and thats the reason so they sell you unlimited but know that you agree at the same time for the bullshit reason they gave you. horrible company and scammers

I deposited $1000 USD into my Hushed account and was actively using the service when my account was suddenly locked without any clear explanation.

What is most unacceptable is that my money has NOT been refunded. My balance is still held by Hushed, and I have lost access to both my account and my funds.

I contacted customer support multiple times, but I received vague responses, no transparency, and no resolution. There was no clear violation explained, no evidence provided, and no refund process offered.

When a company locks a paid account and keeps the user’s money, it feels no different from a scam. This is extremely concerning and unethical behavior.

I strongly warn others: do NOT deposit large amounts of money into Hushed. There is a serious risk of losing access to your account and funds without justification.

I am still waiting for my money to be returned.

Joke of a service, fake and absolute waste of money. I paid £7 and got 5 seconds for a call it’s advertised as ‘ok to call’. RIP off and don’t be fooled…..

this platform is designed to steal the money from people. they suspend my account right after I purchased a new phone number. and didn't refund at all.

They’re unreliable and avoid refunds. Some numbers work, others don’t... and when they fail, they refuse to take responsibility. They blame the App Store, the App Store blames them, and you’re left with no refund. Very unprofessional service. Avoid.

I purchased three numbers from Hushed and none of them worked — calls failed, SMS wouldn’t send or receive, and the service was completely unusable from day one. When I contacted support, instead of fixing the issue they told me my account was suspended. How could my account be suspended when I never even got the chance to use it? Very disappointing experience and definitely not worth the money. PLEASE AVOID THIS COMPANY

I do not recommend Hushed. I used the app for almost a year and spent over $200, but my account was blocked while I still had $50 balance. What I did was send SMS messages to verify and create a Gmail account — I explained this to them. After the block I emailed support again and told them I understand I shouldn’t send verification SMS anymore; I only need my Hushed numbers so I can receive SMS for the Gmail account I already created. Now I can’t access that Gmail because I can’t receive the SMS, and I lost a significant contract because of this.

I told them multiple times I am a freelancer and need new Gmail accounts for projects; I’m not doing anything illegal. I asked them to simply allow reception of SMS to recover my Gmail, but they were indifferent and never explained what rule I supposedly broke. I deposited money and purchased two numbers, but neither of them worked — no calls, no SMS, nothing. When I reached out to support, there was no real help at all — just an AI bot repeating “please wait.” It’s clear they’re not providing any legitimate service.

Do not waste your money here. This platform is run by scammers pretending to offer VoIP services. Save yourself the frustration and stay away.

Scam app. They took my money and suspended my phones, and I can’t even find an unsubscribe option. OMG! What a terrible service! They kept charging me for 2 months after suspending my phones.

I encountered difficulties when attempting to change the email address associated with my account through the app on my Pixel phone. Despite several attempts, the issue persisted until the support team, with their prompt and thoughtful responses, resolved the problem by updating the application. It is reassuring to have a support team that demonstrates such efficiency and capability in addressing and resolving issues.

Their website displays purely misleading advertising, and when you call, their operator keeps telling you your call can't be completed. Then, if you try to reach customer service, they'll answer 24 hours later. They even tell you the app is ready to use, but it's a complete lie. I asked for a refund, and they haven't said anything. They're completely silent.

They also make you use a second number, which I tried to use for my business so I could hire people. They cut off my service, saying their service is for person-to-person communication, not for a company. I asked them where on your website and policies does what you're telling me appear? So far, they haven't given me any answers.

I’m really happy with this app! Works well for sms and voice call verification. I could even set un my WhatsApp Business with it. The only downside is there are some platforms which don’t send verifications to virtual numbers, but fortunately there’s only a few of them.

I bought a phone number on the website, but it requires me to download an app, which is not a suitable option for me. I’m really angry because I can’t use the service at all this way. It’s awful that they don’t provide a proper web option for customers.

I paid for a full YEAR of service and out of nowhere my account was suspended with a vague “violation of Terms of Service” excuse. No details, no evidence, no explanation. Just a canned copy-paste response telling me I’m banned indefinitely.

Here’s the reality:

I use this app only for QA testing my own app, nothing shady, no spam, no mass messaging.

They happily took my money for a year and then locked me out.

When I asked what rule I supposedly broke, they refused to provide a single concrete answer.

Their support hides behind vague policy quotes and drags their feet with “24–48 hours” nonsense while customers are left stranded.

This is straight-up scammy behavior. They get paid, then pull the rug with zero accountability. If you value your money and your work, stay away from Hushed. There are plenty of alternatives (Twilio, TextNow, Google Voice, etc.) that won’t randomly steal your subscription and ghost you.

Hushed has shown me they are unreliable, unprofessional, and abusive to paying customers. Until they either restore my account OR refund me in full, I’ll keep warning others everywhere I can.

Do not trust this app.
