You call this food....worst Chinese…

You call this food....worst Chinese take-out I've ever had.
Decided to give HyChi at HyVee a try, as my wife and I had a taste for Chinese take-out.
WHAT A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY!
Ordered Combo #2 (2 Entrees) and Crab Rangoon (3)
Sweet and Sour Chicken and Mongolian Beef....neither was edible! Beef was thick and tough. Vegetables were stringy and tough. Chicken coating was thick, chicken was tasteless and tough. Crab Rangoon shell was thick, tasteless, filling was tasteless...only edible thing was the rice and even that left something to be desired.
If this is what HyVee's other food choices are like we will definitely NOT be going there again.
Save yourself and find a place that makes it FRESH on a wok in a kitchen with folks who know how to cook!
Only reason I gave it one star was because that's the lowest rating the system allows.

HyVee prices outrageous

Maybe if Hy-Vee wouldn’t spend so much money on races and concerts they could afford to lower prices on groceries and staff the stores! But having the biggest concert in Iowa is prestigious. It’s great that we as shoppers get to pay for the top management to bask in the glory of their fun spending at our expense.

OVERCHARGES from Hyvee Aisles online

Hyvee aisles online has OVERCHARGED me for groceries twice, the first time was $26.00 the second time was almost $40.00 I had to file claims with my Bank to get my money back. The Customer Service asked me to take a picture of my Bank Account and send it to them to prove to them they made a Mistake ? Talk about a Security Risk and Violation of my Privacy Rights! Doesn't their Accounting Department know how much they are charging their Customers? Don't they have Current Transaction Records? I will never do Business with them again!

Incompetent people

Picked up my groceries at the Belton MO. Location, I get home and they forgot to bring out the rest of my order, I call and they know they forgot the order because they give me the name but won't deliver the rest of the order because it's to far from their location 25 miles but to me that should not make a difference since you are the ones who screwed up! I will not shop at hy vee anymore or anywhere and I will be sure to tell everyone about this and it's not the first time shame on me for even putting up with this in the past

My 2nd experience with the Hibachi…

My 2nd experience with the Hibachi grill. My 1st experience on 11/23/2022 was not so great. The guy at the grill was not friendly nor did he even make eye contact.
Decided to give it another try. Went today, 11/28/2022. The best experience I have had. Elliott the hibachi chef was so friendly. the food was amazing. The amount of food is well worth the price, but my experience with Elliott was even better. He is the best.

Shame on you Hy-Vee

Shame on you Hy-Vee, what happened to customer service and a friendly smile in every aisle? My father worked for Hy-Vee for 46 years and I was a loyal customer, but no more. Case in point because of your new self check out lanes and lack of customer service I now go to a local family owned grocery store, instead of Hy-Vee, where they still know how to take care of their customers and value your business. For my holiday menu I got everything I possibly could from this smaller store, well over $100 worth of products, I only went to my local Hy-Vee because I couldn't find 3 items I needed at the first store. In the past I would have given you all my business so I only had to make one stop. Because of your foolish changes it cost you over $100 on this one trip, I'm sure I'm not the only one feeling this way. I'm hearing from other community members that they are doing the same thing. I guess you don't want to take care of us little towns anymore, that's sad! Good for your competitor though, I'll gladly give them the business!

I believe Hy-Vee does not like or want…

I believe Hy-Vee does not like or want people that are disabled filling prescriptions there. If you are new to the Hy-Vee pharmacy and you are disabled they can see that in their system. They will also act as if they don't even know they have prescriptions to fill for you. They lie and decieve. Then they're going to keep stalling and hope that you go somewhere else. I believe this could be because they're understaffed and don't want to serve the weaker more vulnerable poor people in society. I believe that Hy-Vee is discriminating against people based on sex race and disability and many more. If you feel you have experienced discrimination from Hy-Vee and are disabled you need to contact health and human services, as well as the better business bureau. And other government agencies to make complaints. Trying to make complaints within Hy-Vee will just lead you in circles. They do this on purpose. I don't want to detour you from shopping at Hy-Vee pharmacy but if you do and you feel you have experienced discrimination you need to file these complaints. You're standing up for yourself and you're standing up for people like you. You are the most vulnerable people in society and you don't deserve to be treated like that. Also leave reviews and tell them to seek out the same resources and make complaints about what's going on. You can tell the health of a society by the way they treat their weakest and most vulnerable people...... Stand up for yourself and others..

Need a whole new store

Need a whole new store. It is too small, no deli anymore, no chinese deli anymore have to get leftovers from somewhere else. Food is cooked and set up on the counter, meat counter isn't any good anymore. Why can't Creston, Ia get a store like Winterset. Winterset is half the size of Creston and Creston has a store half the size of Winterset or even smaller then that. So much more bad to say but I can't get it all said.

Watch what prices ring up on sales items

If I could just give half a star I would. Went to the local Hyvee for the last time today. I had bought just one item that was on sale. The cashier rang it up a dollar higher than what the sale price was. I pointed it out, she sent another associate to price check. She stated the correct price rang up and it was not on sale. I paid grabed my receipt and went back to pull the sale sign off the shelf to show the cashier and the price checker. She had to lift up the sales tag to see the price. Not the first time this has happened. The shift manager made it right. Have worked retail before. Maybe they need to double check their sales to make sure they are correctly entered before putting up the signs. And train some of thir associates to read. The shift manager knew I have had this issue many times before and was very apologetic. I will drive 30 miles to another store before going into that one again

I placed an order for a Saturday…

I placed an order for a Saturday delivery. Once the delivery time came and went, I contacted the store only to find out they were very behind. I was ensured that the order would still be delivered. After the delivery never occurred, the store was contacted again only to give me a voicemail. The next day I called and was told the situation would be investigated. After checking back after hours to see if the situation had been investigated, I was told they "screwed up a lot of people's orders yesterday" and would have to investigate. At this point I begged for the order to be canceled and refunded. I have received no confirmation that my order was refunded. This is hardly a way to treat people who spend the extra money for the Hy-Vee delivery program. Hy-vee is not the company it used to be.

We have done HyVee delivery for 5+…

We have done HyVee delivery for 5+ years. We pay the $100/year and it has always been worth it. But the last 1-2 years has been horrible. We are always missing 50% of our order items, they go through DoorDash now, so I tip them online (it's not their fault HyVee is bad at filling orders), but if my order is $100 of stuff, I tip DoorDash $10 ahead of time, but the order comes and it's only $45 of stuff. I fill out their little "substitution/no substition" checkmarks, but it doesn't matter. I've left detailed notes by each item, but it doesn't matter.
Anyway, I switch to Cub. I get ALL of the items I order. I do NOT get 30 texts while they shop my order asking me questions that I already left notes about. I don't have to babysit it. I just put it in and get my stuff with any appropriate substitutions chosen just fine.
Not paying attention to their mess of a delivery system is bad move. Grocery delivery is the future - don't be a Blockbuster.

I've been going to Hy-vee stores since…

I've been going to Hy-vee stores since I was a child. It use to be great, now going way down hill. They need to fix the website, I've emailed them multiple times and they are too incompetent for the basic fix. They switched my city so that I can't get relevant deals and pricing, (and they keep switching it to a city I have never been to!) I couldn't even order groceries if I wanted to. I've seen employee's being reprimanded while they were trying to help me (a paying customer!) I have fond childhood memories of my grandpa taking us kids to Hyvee for sunday breakfast, never had a problem in the city. Moved to a small town, use to do all my shopping at hyvee, now I stray away. Pallets left in the middle of the aisles, cashiers don't know how to ring up water correctly, it's not that hard. I've worked in grocery and cashier, hell, I still face shelves when I shop out of habit, it's really not difficult. They need an overhaul. I'm no longer impressed with the franchise.

I’m not a thief Brady

I’m not a thief Brady, neither is my 4 year old daughter. Manager with the white hair at Clinton location. Being vigilant doesn’t mean targeting customers because my daughter is holding some putty in the cart. You have a good night sir.

I would rate the online grocery pick up…

I would rate the online grocery pick up a zero out of five if I could we waited there for door dash for over an hour they were running late very low staffed and I’m going to get dinged because of it. It was the savage one in Minnesota but I’m guessing they are all runner the same , they won’t do anything about it. Terrible store one of the worst places I’ve ever picked up from for door Dash one of the most slow places for online pick up. HIGHLY NOT RECOMENDED!!!

I was sad to read all the negative…

I was sad to read all the negative reviews about HyVee. It looks like most of them involve picking up or delivery. For us we have been going to the New Hope MN store for 3 years or so. We love the pharmacy where we have gotten all our shots and boosters and regularly fill RX. They are very nice and efficient. We buy our groceries inside the store and never have issues, some out of stock items but that is everywhere. Like that it's an employee owned franchise. Bakery is really great!
