It was a highly unpleasant and stressful experience working with Hypotheekrente on getting my mortgage.

My advisor made one major mistake after another (See examples in the end).

There was a total lack of proactiveness, she was unresponsive and ignored many of my emails, WhatsApp messages and calls.

I am still in shock and distressed about this total lack of attention for my case, because with the fee charged by them, I would expect a respectful and accurate service.

Mistake 1:
She calculated my max borrowing capacity wrong by adding an 8% holiday allowance when my payslip clearly stated that the amount already included the holiday allowance. This gave me a false expectation that I could borrow 30k more, which created a tremendous stress later on.

Mistake 2:
I told her twice before the submission of the application that I wanted to keep the borrowing percentage at 85% for a lower interest rate (4.57%), but when I received the mortgage offer, it was still 85.5% and with an interest rate of 4.61%. This was rectified later but precious time was lost and I had a very tight delivery deadline.

Mistake 3:
When I asked again to keep the percentage at 85%, she told me "It’s a mortgage with NHG so that doesn’t matter" but I didn't apply for the NHG, which shows that she didn't have a clear overview of what my application is.

Zeer onaangename en stressvolle ervaring met Hypotheekrente
Het was een zeer onaangename en stressvolle ervaring om met Hypotheekrente te werken aan het verkrijgen van mijn hypotheek.

Mijn adviseur maakte de ene grote fout na de andere (zie voorbeelden aan het einde).

Er was een totaal gebrek aan proactiviteit, ze reageerde niet en negeerde veel van mijn e-mails, WhatsApp-berichten en oproepen.

Ik ben nog steeds geschokt en bedroefd over dit totale gebrek aan aandacht voor mijn zaak, omdat ik met het door hen aangerekende honorarium een respectvolle en accurate dienstverlening zou verwachten.

Fout 1:
Zij heeft mijn maximale leencapaciteit verkeerd berekend door er 8% vakantiegeld bij te tellen, terwijl op mijn loonstrook duidelijk stond dat in het bedrag al het vakantiegeld was verwerkt. Dit gaf mij de valse verwachting dat ik nog eens 30.000 euro kon lenen, wat later voor enorme stress zorgde.

Fout 2:
Ik heb haar voor het indienen van de aanvraag twee keer verteld dat ik het leenpercentage op 85% wilde houden voor een lagere rente (4,57%), maar toen ik de hypotheekofferte kreeg was deze nog 85,5% en met een rente van 4,61%. Dit werd later verholpen, maar er ging kostbare tijd verloren en ik had een zeer krappe leveringsdeadline.

Fout 3:
Toen ik opnieuw vroeg om het percentage op 85% te houden, zei ze tegen mij: “Het is een hypotheek met NHG dus dat maakt niet uit” maar ik heb de NHG niet aangevraagd, waaruit blijkt dat ze geen duidelijk overzicht had van wat mijn toepassing is.
