I've been using Hyre Car for over a year without any issues until this year. Unfortunately, I encountered a problem when I couldn't utilize the rental car for about a week due to a snowstorm or snowy weather. The owner of the car I rented attempted to reimburse me for the days I couldn't use the car. However, Hyre Car rejected the reimbursements, citing that their insurance had too many people facing similar issues at the same time.
This decision seemed unfair to me as it left me in a financial bind. Despite expressing my frustration and dissatisfaction multiple times, all they could offer was a vague hope of assistance. I was deeply upset and disappointed by their response, and I informed them that I would share my experience with others as a warning. Be cautious if you choose to use their services.

Terrible customer service and will take your money and make you wait days for refund will inconvenience you. They resolved none of my issues for 2 days they were not helpful and gave me the run around. Better off sticking to regular rental services.

Like every other company there is turnover but we are proud to work with Damian and Judith as customer service reps. THey are the best in identifying gaps and assisting immediately without the run around. Big thanks to the both of them for their promp customer service and reliability to resolve whatever issue is at hand in a timely manner.

I truly feel that it’s a gimmick
I truly feel that it’s a gimmick. They say that it supposed to be a certain amount then have like three other charges that they include in the pricing which average to about $80 a day. I don’t feel that it’s worth the value of the cars you get. It’s overpriced and supposed to made for delivery and driving passengers around. It’s not affordable to even see your earnings. It’s like you work just to pay them. I feel it’s a total rip off

Very untrustworthy owners and customer support
I had rent a car from a Mykail, a 2017 ford fusion that had an unstable steering wheel, and the tires kept a losing air. I used the car for a week because I was desperate and all my jobs were atleast between 12-30 miles. By the time I got the car in Uber the wheel went completely flat. I reported it to the owner and he told me to put air in it and return it or take it to a shop. First of all how do I do all of that on a flat tire that’s falling off the rim? And didn’t take any air? I called my personal AAA assistant and they came and said the tire needs to be replaced or I need to get towed to a shop which is what I did. Very next day the back tire did the same thing. I called the owner he told me the same thing.
Then on Monday after not driving the whole weekend because of the flat tires I went to turn the car on so I could get my insurance company to give me a tow again, i realized the car did not start, and i realized once again the owner locked the car remotely due to it being 3 days unpaid. Because the car was locked and he said to return it, I called hyre car and they told me they would send a tow and that I should request a refund from the owner for the days the car was not operating. I did all of that and hyre car took the owners claim saying I left the car with the gas not full, that the car wasn’t clean and that I must pay for 5 days. That is utterly ridiculous because the car was unmovable because the owner locked it and also because it had a flat tire. In addition to the the window for the driver seat doesn’t stay up and there is no control for the windshield wipers and the wheels need realignment. The fact that they charge $40 for the car and $40 dollars for insurance each day, which is $80 dollars each day, and ending up paying $1,980 for 29 days, is absolutely crazy to me that I have no support and they have the audacity to want to ask me for more money. It’s not about my safety or the safety of my toddler child that I had in the car, it’s all about their money, and they expected me to drive a car that’s obviously faulty, old and not safe to operate. Yes the car started of okay despite haven’t dysfunctional windshield wipers and windows and unstable steering wheel but by the third week the car was done, it was literally falling apart so much so that the frame for the headlights fell off with no impact whatsoever, just me driving, they expect to pay for that as well. Currently the locked me out of my account blocking me from booking any rental with them until I pay them $580. I am filing a consumer complaint about them because i will fight this injustice to prevent them from reporting any debt to the credit agencies as they threatened me in an email they would report my Balance and attempt to charge my cards if I don’t pay. I will not be bullied, manipulated, scammed and blackmailed for my hard earned money, business is business for me too, and my business suffered when I was unable to use the car that weekend. I’m now behind in renting and childcare finances. They have completely ruined my month of November potentially ruining my sons birthday plans who turns 2 on December 1st. I will not rest until they remove that claim from my name. Please do not rent from them especially in Los Angeles, some of the drivers are opportunistic looking for insurance claims from your rental to hold you liable and the company itself only wants a reason to charge you more money. A very scammy company.

I have and open case currently ..my previous owner rented me a car with bald tires and a dash that didn't work...I couldnt use the vehicle for work...I uploaded images and videos of this issue ..hyre car obviously didn't care because they allowed this owner to continue to put his illegal unsafe vehicle on their platform..when the vehicle was in my possession it completely stopped on the highway and was towed..the owner only concern was does it drive 😤.the vehicles listed in Houston are filthy and not taking car of...KAIR THE RENTAL COMPANY IS ALSO HORRIBLE 🙄I HAD TO DEEP CLEAN THE CAR BEFORE WORKING WITH AND ANNOYING BANGING NOISE UNDER THE CAR ...DONT RENT !!!!!

DISGUSTED! At the background check
This company denied me to rent a car for a-theft charge 22 yrs ago in Va when I was 24 also a 1st offense now I’m 46 I reside in Charlotte NC NOW I’m a USPS employee where they do fingerprints & extensive background only going back 5-7 years so help me understand why the lengthy background check for a non federal job ….& to rent a car ?? We’re not talking about renting Bentleys or Lamborghinis …these are everyday cars & you guys deny an application for a 22yr old charge … YOU NEED TO BE ASHAMED

There was an issue with a vehicle I was going to rent and the owner was nice enough to cancel the reservation for me. Support, including Carlos, was excellent. They made sure of the cancellation and I was satisfied. I would still consider them in the future.
