I am a Rideshare driver

I am a Rideshare driver. I have used HyreCar a few times. Hertz is terrible and never has any cars, so this is a great way to get a car while yours is in the shop.
Uber allows it and most car owners don’t over charge. If they are charging more than $40 per day, it’s not worth it. With insurance and fees it comes out to quite a bit per day.
The issue I have with this system is the cars aren’t always clean. HyreCar doesn’t inspect them and I wouldn’t allow most Uber riders to get in the car without a thorough cleaning. NO ONE should have to spend two hours cleaning a rental car they are paying for!
But if you’re a food delivery driver, then it’s okay. No one will see it. I’m just a very clean person and cannot drive around in a dirty car.
Car owners SHOULD HAVE TO SUBMIT CLEAN CAR PHOTOS BEFORE RENTING…just saying.
Also, check to make sure seatbelts and door locks work. I rented one car and the passengers couldn’t get out of the back seat. I had to go around and open the door. Annoying!
Otherwise, HyreCar has good customer service and most owners are good people. I would rather give my money to them, than to Hertz.

HyreCar Requires Vehicle to clean and maintain their vehicle(s) prior to a rental starting. Cleaning and maintaining the vehicle includes, but is not limited to; a clean exterior/interior free from trash or debris, clean floor mats, and windows. It’s recommended to wipe and sanitize commonly touched interior and exterior areas such as door handles, steering wheels, door panels, dashboards, and interior consoles. If the vehicle is not clean or maintained upon check-in, the driver has the option to call or chat with HyreCar Support to cancel or find another rental. Photographic evidence may be required to receive a full refund in the event of a dispute.

I started renting from HyreCar in 2021…

I started renting from HyreCar in 2021 to get out of a very bad situation. I chose HyreCar after having a terrible experience with Lyft’s ExpressDrive. Also, due to the situation I needed the flexibility of being able to keep my day’s pay as opposed to having to work 2-3 days 10-12 hours to pay off the car before being able to save any money. Lyft and Uber’s rental programs both have you pay for the rental vehicle first, so the first $300-400 you make you don’t see. It’s not helpful if you’re limited income and have no way to pay for fuel except whatever you make in a day. The ability to pay for a daily vehicle saved my life. More recently, I had to leave the state I was living in or else I would have ended up on the street homeless. While it wasn’t an optimal choice for the owner of the vehicle I had been renting this last year, I didn’t have any other choice. Over the last several days the support agent assigned to my case to help retrieve the car has been kind, understanding, and did everything possible to assist in returning the car to the owner. I am so thankful for him and his kindness in this extraordinary stressful situation. Had there been other options I would not have left the state but sometimes life happens and we have to make quick decisions. I am so grateful for HyreCar and their support team. Every agent I’ve worked with has gone beyond expectations in making sure I have as good of a rental experience as possible. I am so thankful for them.

I was almost okay with Hyrecar

I was almost okay with Hyrecar, until the car I was renting, the company out of no where sends me a message saying they sold the car which I found very unprofessional and a big inconvenience to me. I had been renting the car by the month. I was giving no alternative, hyrecar was of no help locating another vehicle or pointing me in the direction of another vehicle, I was offered nothing except a yeah we sold the car, although we will allow you to keep it until the time you paid but after that, yeah your on your own. I am not satisfied with how this was handled

Franscico F is a lifesaver!

Franscico gave me the documents I needed to upload to Uber in order to renew the rental and keep going. I had no ability to pay for the rental other than through Uber earnings (credit card was canceled) and without clearing that requirement I could not access earnings. It was a horribly stressful situation. After listening to my concerns Fransisco went through a lot of effort to truly understand what I was asking for, and realized he could help. He stayed on the call until I got the document I needed. Thank you so much!!!

Fraudulently obtained funds

My name is Regina Tatum and my account has been hijacked by HyreCar to the tune of $821. The fraudulently used a authorization code to obtain funds from my locked debit card. The have still attempted to charge my card even though I reported it as stolen.

I contacted their billing department and they told me because I don't have an account they can't discuss the charges even though they charged my card.

Tonight I receive a notification that they were yet again trying to charge me another $150, for what?

I'm filing a police report and also asking the DC Attorney General to assist me with this matter. This company is a fraud and if I have to file a Class Action lawsuit, it is what it is. I've already filed a complaint with Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and will be adding tonight's incident to my claim.

Fraud, Fraud. Fraud.

One good rep, can save a bad review!!

So working with rep Francisco F, completely saved this rating. Would have been 1 or zero if I could, due to getting the run around for about a week and speaking to 2 other individuals earlier who both told me they will escalate and follow up, but never did. On my final attempt, got to speak with Francisco, who very patiently listened to my issue of not being able to finish verification on the app. He worked through the issue, ran into what I guess was the same issue the others did, actually called me back in less than 5 mins the 1st time, & under 2mins the 2nd time. Then made me setup a dummy rental just to make sure everything worked. He is the epitome of great customer care. Hyrecar you need more ppl like Francisco F. so much so that I requested he send me a way to highlight what he helped me with. I rarely if ever write comments, but he deserves this. Hope this can help you in any way Francisco F.

This company's insurance is a joke

This company's insurance is a joke. They are trying to charge me $1000 deductible for a windshield that an 18 wheeler kicked a rock on to. The windshield costs less than $200. Steer clear of these people.

They stole my money. No solution just fill out a report.

It was my first time renting from them or at least trying to. I found a car and was waiting on approval for rental. The owner of the car said to me he keeps getting an error when trying to approve my request for his car. However the money still came out of my account. I contacted HYRE Car to see if they can fix this issue because now I am out of a car and my money. If they could not put my money back on my card right away can you credit the car owner so I can still rent the car? they said they could not do anything I needed to fill out a report. Really a report. They stole my money and had no solution to this problem they cause. I will never use them because they have no systems in place to insure you are covered in a incident like this.

As of today 3/2/23 they have refunded my money.

Background check, problems with pictures…

I called with some issues on the app with my background check and Francisco f. Was my customer service rep and he was fantastic. He stayed on the phone with me the entire time until everything was resolved and he went above and beyond. He is great at his job!!!! Thank you francisco!

Exceptional customer service

Antonio Palafox provided speedy responses each time I sent an email to HyreCar. He responded not only in writing, but he also called to follow up as well. He explained everything to me in detail and was instrumental in the resolution to get past due rental fees from the driver of my car.

Was extremely professional and polite. He understood my concerns about giving my information and privacy. He explained the whole process to me and even expedited my verification for me. I was having hard time with the chat where I was getting no help at all. I was getting ready to give up and go with different company for renting a vehicle but the help he gave me changed my mind completely.

I rented a car and van both had issues contacted the owner they came and got the vehicle but still charge me on app for four days when I didn’t even have a day contacted HyreCar they found me liable when I submitted proof of the owner getting the van and when I called to dispute no one could speak English is like who read the papers and photos

I give Hyre car a 3 … I wasn’t going to give a rating but I do know 2 individuals who helped complete my process with ease and make that unsettling feeling of being scammed go away!!!😭😅😂….

Thank You Alejandro Rich!!! You are bomb… He listened to the problem… He looked into my concerns and he was very assertive with the solution!!! You need more individuals like him not plants!!!

Even if your very desperate and hyrecar…

Even if your very desperate and hyrecar is your only option don't do it. Hyrecars owners are pulling scams to get more money out of the driver's. The owners arnt making money so when someone finally rents there vehicle they lie and cheat to get every dime possible. Hyrecar will play dumb to the situation. I have proof that would be a slam dunk in court how I am being scammed by the owner. Hyrecar plays stupid. They basically ignore the situation giving you the run around with your money tied up in hopes you'll move on. If you use hyrecar to rent a vehicle it's gonna cost you double what you make by the time you return it. Trust me
02/11/2023... hyrecar responded asking me to send an email to support or they can have someone contact me... Thats probably the worst response I could have recieved. It infuriates me so much I want to scream. I have emailed support numerous times. Honestly at least 12 different times did I email support giving details of what took place. Infact, as some of the incidents where taking place was being scammed, I emailed support to let them know what was taking place right then and there thinking it would matter to hyrecar. Support really did not care. Not only did they not care, it didnt help me in long run at all. I would recieve a reply, Someone will get back to me in next few business days. I would recieve a reply in the middle of the night asking a question or two. Then a few days later I would get a follow up email asking if I had any more questions and explaining my complaint is being closed as it was resolved. I would REPLY NOTHING WAS RESOLVED. I'd go ignored. In fact I was recieving threats of physical harm to my self and being insulted pretty bad by one of hyrecars vehical owners. In between threats of physical harm and insults I would email hyrecar support and inform them I was recieving threats at that very moment just incase something did happen to me it would be documented. Same bot response from support. So when you ask me to send an email to support, it rubs me the wrong way. I'm sure you'd feel the same way as I do. Hyrecar posted a reply to my review as an attempt to appear to care. I assure you it's fake. Unless your looking to rent a vehical to earn some extra cash and you want to be subjected to being scammed, insulted deeply, threatened physical harm, contacted all hours of the night don't use hyrecar. I promise you Hyrecar doesn't care. I also promise you'll end up owing double if not triple of original price of the rental after being scammed. There's so many other platforms to rent gig vehicals that do care. Spend your money with them not hyrecar. Dont make my mistake.

Judith Garrido EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE. She promised to call me back to assist me with an inquiry I had to list my vehicle and she actually called me back and got exactly what I needed completed to list my car. She was so warm, kind and professional and PATIENT and a very good listener. Major improvements HyreCar has made with their customer service team. I once had only 1 car live on HyreCar. Now I’m at 20+ because the customer service has really improved and they assist me with listing vehicles smoothly, screening rental requests to avoid a risky renter, and actually call back when they they say they’re going to call back. I hope this stays permanent because many carshare platforms customer service goes downhill once they have a lot of cars listed and they’re at their peak of growth. It’s better to keep owners and customers using the platform with exceptional customer service which is what I provide to all my renters and makes them STAY IN THE RENTAL WITH HYRECAR, thus requires me to STAY WITH HYRECAR. So Lets Keep This Up Guys 🙏👍
