Do not list your vehicle with HyreCar

Listing your vehicle with HyreCar is too risky! If the renter happens to let someone else drive the vehicle and there is an accident, HyreCar will not cover the damages. They leave you fully responsible. DO NOT TAKE THAT RISK!!

THIS IS THE SAME CELLPHONE NUMBER THAT THE OWNER OF THAT NISSAN ALTIMA WAS SENDING HARRASING TEXT MESSAGES TO ME TO. I NEVER KNEW THE OWNER FILED A CLAIM. NO INSURANCE COMPANY NEVER CONTACTED ME NOR ANYONE FROM HYRE CAR. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN CONTACTING LASHAE WILLIAMS ANYWAY DUE TO SHE WAS THE ONE WHO DAMAGED HIS CAR AND THE OWNER KNOWS THAT. I DIDN'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THIS UNTIL I CHECKED MY ACCOUNT AFTER DOING A DEPOSIT OF $203.88 LAST NIGHT THEN MY ONLINE BANKING STATED MY BALANCE WAS -437.67
THE BANK TOOK MY DEPOSIT. SO HYRE CAR CAUSED MY ACCOUNT TO GO INTO A -641.55 STATUS DUE TO DOING THAT TRANSACTION WITHOUT MY PERMISSION/ WITHOUT TALKING TO ME FIRST.

Also please read attachments of the text messages between me and the owner of this car. I immediately contacted him that morning THE LYFT PASSENGER DAMAGED HIS CAR AND SENT HIM HER NAME AND PHONE NUMBER. THE PASSENGER OPENED THE BACK DOOR TO EXIT THE CAR WITHOUT LOOKING AND THE CAR DOOR HIT THE BUS AS THE BUS WAS DRIVING BY. I EVEN GAVE HIM THE REPORT NUMBER FROM SEPTA. *****This happened the first week of me renting the car. THE OWNER CONTINUED TO ALLOW ME TO RENT THE CAR FOR 4 MORE WEEKS AFTER IT WAS PROVEN THAT THE DAMAGE WAS CAUSED BY THE PASSENGER ( NOT ME THE LYFT DRIVER OR SEPTA). THE PASSENGER ADMITTED TO ACCIDENTALLY DAMAGING THE CAR. THAT'S WHY SHE GAVE ME HER PERSONAL CONTACT INFORMATION TO GIVE TO THE OWNER, AND HE RECEIVED IT IMMEDIATELY THAT MORNING.

*** I had a issue with the owner the last week of renting the car DUE TO HIS UNPROFESSIONAL DEMANDING ATTITUDE. I HAD TO BLOCK HIS CELLPHONE FROM MY CELLPHONE TO STOP HIM SENDING ME HARRASING TEXT MESSAGES. DURING THOSE HARRASING TEXT MESSAGES HE HE TRIED TO MAKE ME FEEL GUILTY BY SAY, " I ALLOWED YOU TO CONTINUE TO RENT MY CAR EVEN AFTER YOU DAMAGED IT". I then reminded him that it was the passenger who damaged his car. Not ME. I then immediately SNAP SHOTTED OUR OLD TEXT MESSAGES WITH THE PASSENGER INFORMATION IN IT TO PROVE IT.

I FEEL THAT THE OWNER DID THIS TO BE SMART AFTER ALL THE UNPROFESSIONAL TEXT MESSAGES THAT HE SENT TO ME.

THIS WAS VERY SHADY OF THE OWNER. WHY WOULD HE ALLOW ME TO CONTINUE TO RENT THE CAR FOR ANOTHER 4 WEEKS AFTER THE PASSENGER DAMAGED IT, BUT THEN TRY TO CHARGE ME THE LYFT DRIVER FOR THE DAMAGES 2 WEEKS AFTER I RETURNED HIS CAR TO HIM. PLEASE READ THE ATTACHMENTS OF THE TEXTMESSAGES.

I gave one star because I have to click something. It deserves zero star. Hyrecar doesn’t care about your property. There is no due diligence with the drivers on hyrecar. They let drivers who rack up tickets and tolls with your car rent cars on their platform with no consequences.

They don't even deserve one star. I rented a vehicle the first time through hyrecar and got put in a lemon that took money out my pockets to constantly fix and made me behind on payments. After returning the vehicle I then go to try and rent through kair rentals since that was my only choice available. They approved me then took my money then cancelled without any explanation except that they didn't have want vehicles available. So why would you approve it and take my money if you didn't have the car available. Total scam artist. Beware

Hyrecar is an extremely corrupt company. Not only does HyreCar charge way to much for their car rentals. Hyrecar’s claim to fame. Is that their cars can be used to drive for Uber. 98% of Hyrecar’s business is renting cars to drivers who drive for Uber. The problem is that Hyrecar likes to rent out cars. That are advertised as cars one can use to drive for Uber. But some of the models of these cars advertised to drive for Uber have a salvage title. Uber does not allow drivers to use cars that have a salvage title. For good reason as a salvaged car can be unsafe to use for driving Uber customers. Hyrecar still rents out cars advertised to drive for Uber with a salvage title. So after paying close to $100 to rent a Hyrecar to drive for Uber. Come to find out the Prius I rented was not certified to drive for Uber.
After I uploaded copies of the registration to Uber. Uber would not certify my Hyrecar rental to drive for Uber.
When I tried multiple times to get a refund. Hyrecar refused to give me a refund. I feel this could be a regular practice of Hycar to rent cars advertised to drive for Uber. That are not certified to drive for Uber. I would recommend to stay clear of Hyrecar to rent cars to drive for Uber. Hyrecar in my view is a business that rips off customers as a standard practice. Never do business with Hyrecar.

Update: 09/20/2022
I tried calling Hyrecar again to negotiate the refund I should have received. Because the car that was advertised to drive for Uber. Had been rejected by Uber. Because the Prius has a salvage title.

Well I still was met with an extremely rude customer service associate. Also informed that I would never receive a refund for the Prius. That was rejected by Uber for having a salvage title. Last I checked the same Prius is still on the Hyrecar website to rent for using for Uber ride share.

Victor E was super helpful and profession

I have reached out to hyre multiple times with no success in solving my issue. Today I reached out via chat and was on hold for 2 hrs until I finally received support from Victor Enriquez, and then the chat froze I thought I was out of luck again, But luckily victor had asked for my number in the event we got disconnected. He called me back and took the time to help me resolve this issue. It was truly appreciated

I reported My customer (driver), our customer with HyreCar, and they were not helpful at all with the screenshots my boyfriend and I had. They told us that the tickets and the damage to the phone holder and the sun protector was not their responsibility but ours. !!!
Even though the customer is supposed to pay for gas when returning the car, we are not getting reimbursed for it because we did not have receipts, our bank statement was not enough. So that customer got away with a lot, I would not recommend HyreCar, or if you use them, don’t leave anything in your car at all. Horrible customer service

I'm A Victor Enriquez FAN!

Victor Enriquez help me in a major way! He was able to bring from being at 100 to 0 real quick in the most compassionate way! I call him letting all my frustration with Hyrecar, AmeriDrive (Owner) and Iber out on him and clearly didn't deserve it! He was able solve my issues on Hyrecar and AmeriDrive behave. Stay on the phone 20 minutes after his shift just to make sure my document approveal with uber was taken care of. That meant alot to me, especially after the day I had. Thanks Victor and again my apologies! U were more than great. 10 stars here!

I hate this business.kair. Should be called uncare!!! Total scam car in Austin is hostile beligerent and downright rude. Both cars were not maintained. 1 st one brakes quit working. Same with second one. 3rd they didn't post correct insurance and had to pay for a car Uber would not approve. Super shady. I'm shocked that hyre a car is having a company this bad remain on platform. Run!

Don't list your vehicle on this platform. Hyre car doesn't help you with any way if you get into any trouble. My car got totalled but thru were sending us to different departments and no one helped us to solve the issue. Their insurance is useless. They try to pass through ball to someone and wipe their hands. Also one of the guests got a ticket which we were not notified until we received the court appearance notice. Hyre car didn't even give us instruction kor help us in anyway to resolve this issue. I will never list any of my vehicles on hyre car. THE WORST RIDESHARE PLATFORM

Worst owners, need to be removed

I rented a car from this company, and had it for about 3 weeks. I have spent almost $3000 in rental fees for extending the car, and when I went to go return the car, since I no longer needed it. I was threatend by the owner of the car, and he would not allow me to return the vehicle. He wanted more money from me, on top of the $3000 I already paid for the car. I will never rent from this company again. And I am going to file a complaint against the owner for not allowing me to return the car. Thank you to the support people who helped me return the car, and close out the contract, without further bigotry from the owners.

Beware of putting your vehicle on this platform. They take no responsibility and recovering tolls which ive had a renter acquired over $500 in tolls and stuck me with the bill once I’ve finally received it in the mail. At least TURO BILLS THEIR RENTERS WITH PROOF OF INVOICE. I have since removed me vehicles from this poor performing company and went back to TURO.

First and last time using this service

First and last time using this service! I was referred by a fellow lyft/Uber driver! My car was in for maintenance work over the weekend 3 days max! Friday-Monday and I didn’t want to come out of pocket $600 for 3 days so I went with hirecar. Booking was easy but after being told I could pick up the car at a certain time the owner contacted me 10 minutes before meet time after I drove 45 minutes that it would be pushed back an hour and a half which turned into 5 hours of hell. After 2 and a half hours of waiting I was told I could come get the car to which I arrived and was told the car I rented was broken down and she was going to give me another one of her vehicles! Took 2 hours to transfer everything over and another 2 for lyft/Uber to approve. I then got into the car and started driving to realize the engine light was on and tire pressure light was on. Suspension messed up and a wobbly tire. Okay fine I’ll suck it up it’s only 3 days right ! 2nd day I’m driving with a passenger and get pulled over because of improper plates and no sticker! The plate is registered to a whole different car! How embarrassing this was. I of course contacted support to see my options to which they alerted the owner. She messaged me with an attitude about the complaint I made and wanted me to drop the car off in a different unsafe area in Detroit at night!! I told her I was uncomfortable with that and she continued to Harass me. I then dropped the car off at a police station a day earlier than my drop off day. She went on to call me a fat ugly broke b**** and threaten me. Of course I don’t expect a refund for the day I won’t have the car because HyreCar informed me that it needs to be approved through the owner. Terrible car and terrible person!! If your ever in Detroit DO NOT RENT FROM A CHRISTIAN TURNER all of her vehicles are death traps and she is very unprofessional.

Unfortunately I have to write a poor review. I have had multiple situations come along and customer service has been disappointing every time. Almost every time I call I get hung up on, yet I never receive a call back. Then once I finally get someone on the line they say they have my phone number and I don’t have to give them my phone number. They also re-assure me that I will be called back if we get disconnected. Customer service has no authority and just says that the details will be emailed to me. But I call customer service to get clarification on the emails. So it just is a big circle of a problem that is never solved. I am currently going through a claim with Hyre Car and it’s my first claim after loaning my car on the platform for about 6 months and I am getting emails in the same email chain that oppose each other. One email says the damages are covered and to provide a receipt and in the same email chain Hyrecar is stating that the damages aren’t covered. Very disappointing considering I would like to continue to rent my car on this platform. Customer service isn’t able to help with claims, and the claims department doesn’t make phone calls. So you can only communicate with claims via email, but I was just told by customer service that there is a glitch in the emails I am receiving. I asked to speak with a manager and she said someone would email me later today to resolve the situation. I was not given the opportunity to speak with anyone besides her, I would only receive emails going forward, even though in the previous sentence I was told there is a glitch in the system with the emails so the emails aren’t correct… I am posting this to warn those wanting to rent their vehicle on this platform.

Please don't do business with this…

Please don't do business with this company! The car I rented was dirty and in disrepair and didn't look anything like the picture. The check engine light and the tire pressure lights were on when I started the engine. The trunk doesn't close, the rear bumper is coming off on the driver side and the air conditioner doesn't work! When I called the owner to complain, he said don't worry about it and he's aware of the condition of the car. This car is not safe to drive. Finally, when I called customer service to complain, I was told I would have to contact the owner for a refund. I'm going to contact Uber, DoorDash, and and other ride sharing platforms as their names have been affiliated with this (HyreCar Inc.) company.
