I was going to leave a bad review until…

I was going to leave a bad review until I spoken to Fernanda in customer service. She help me resolve the issue that I had. If it wasn’t for her customer service I would not use this app for any kind of rentals. Thank you for being very prompt and handling my situation.

My first time renting from this company…

My first time renting from this company or app along with Ameridrive was horrible. The companies were very unprofessional and difficult to deal with all the issues that happened. The first vehicle broke down the first day I rented and the second vehicle had ants plus other things, I also had them trying to take out money after I had return the vehicle.

This is by far the worst company I have…

This is by far the worst company I have rented a car for…I rented a car with them for the last past two months they first CLAIMED they were going to give me a 75 dollar rebate for a promotion that was going on at the time when I first rented the car for the first seven days. NEVER RECIEVED IT…. First off why do I have to keep calling in for a promotion…. Second off they never got the memo that I dropped the car off and was still taking money out of my account. I have been calling for the last past week and they told me on the first day I called in I would be receiving an email regarding my refund…NEVER RECIEVED IT! And as far as your deposit it takes 5-7 business days for them to release it back to your account and 20 business days for you to actually see it in your account ….I have never in my 33 yrs heard of anything like this ….I would never rent a car from this company again…

I do not even know where to begin

I do not even know where to begin. I rented a car from shady business BSD Tree. The company rented me a defective car with brake and tire issues. First red flag was that the car smelled really bad of cigarette smoke, I had to spray it out. The tire kept deflating on the car and I when I took a closer look the rim was bent. Which was shown in the pics from my original pick up. I returned the car five days early and was supposed to get a refund. Let's just say I still have not received my refund. The company and its "Supervisors" have been giving me the run around for months. This business needs to be shut down.

car owners

car owners, be extreamly careful what you are getting into when renting cars in hyrecar. You will make money at first only to loose it all at once. The compay does not care much and you are being subjected to all the risk associated with bad renters not payng off the tolls, parking tickets. The company do not at lease charge the renters a security deposit or do a credit check. All the renters who I met are the worst people ever.

Scam

When I asked a customer support agent to deactivate my account, they sent me an email that said to enter my last 4 of my ssc number. I never gave the app my ssc number. Then I spoke with another agent after Nancy ended the chat, they said I had to send an email to the company saying I want to deactivate my account. I don’t trust them. And customer service takes forever to respond.

As stated previously, I never gave the app(company) my ssc number, like I told the agent, so the agent repeatedly asking for it through email was weird. There is no way to confirm my ssc number because they didn’t have it to begin with so the comment the company inserted below shows how much they don’t pay attention.

they will not cover you in case of accident, however they charge both, the customer and the owner insurance fee

Accident/ Damages are covered based on the chosen protection plan for each rental. Like any insurance coverage, all parties are responsible for an insurance deductible. Share some information with us, for clarity on your case and our policies!

this company is unprofessional and has low-quality stuff. The app itself never works properly. and that is the tip of the iceberg, if you get into an accident, it will take 2-3 months until you get a resolution, and yes, there is no guarantee that they will cover you, they will do all that is possible to not cover you.

No toll coverage for host and host unable to see driver reviews from other host

I usually do not write reviews. If I decide to review a company, you may want to read it to the end. I have 2 concerns and recommended fix

1. As a host, it is horrible that hyrecar does not have any policy to cover tolls incurred during a rental. They should understand better than us that host have no power to collect tolls from drivers if they fail to pay. I can not go to the driver's house to request my tolls. The fix is very very easy. 2 fixes actually and I will provide below. My third driver ran away with $120 in tolls.

2.Another major Flaw is the inability for host to see reviews on Driver from other host they have booked with in the past. How can a host trust a Driver from his facial look? I was surprised to find out that the Driver who ran away with my Money still has her account active, waiting to prey on another host. Still, I will provide the fix to this below:

FIX TO TOLL ISSUE:
1. Collect a security deposit from driver while booking and pay to host in increments as the tolls pile up

2. Partner with toll authorities to transfer the tolls from the host to Driver if they fail to pay

FIX TO DRIVER VETTING PROCCESS

1. Block all drivers with unpaid tolls and other serious violations from using the platform forever. the reputation of the platform is key to its success and growth. quality is better than quantity

2. Let host have access to read reviews on driver profiles from past host so they can make an informed decision if they want to take the risk giving out their vehicles to the driver

I hope someone from hyrecar reads this and take action. I don't feel comfortable expanding my fleet.

Implement these recommendations and thank me after 2 years. Oh remember to send me a Bottle of wine when you start seeing exponential growth

Lincoln Rentals

Lincoln Rentals, old lincoln hwy, Fairless hills, PA
I paid for my car & was unable to use it for 3 days. The company gave me incorrect paperwork to use to drive for Uber, so I had to eat those 3 days. I was told they would giv me back the days by letting me keep the car for 3 more days. When The time came for them to follow through they acted like they didn't know what I was talking about.
This place is nothing but "money hungry" liars waiting to hustle someone simply trying to earn a living.

Stay away-Shadiest company ever

This company is the shadiest company I have ever dealt with. I have rented my Prius on the platform; The renter abandoned the car somewhere and the car was impounded; From the beginning Hyrecar was very negligent and careless in dealing with me. In the end they are saying that they denied the claim because documents were not provided. I have submitted receipts, DMV letter and the city of Phoenix notification of impoundment. Please stay away from the company because in the end I paid over 1000$ to get my car back and they are refusing to assist. I'm going to sue in Small court claim. Notice they are saying to review email for documents, the Claim CSR already told me the claim is denied. So they want to give the impression they are helping but will just give you the runaround.

Worst experience ever

Worst experience ever. The customer service does not exist! It takes days to get a resolution. They side with the renters more than the drivers who are actually dealing with the renters and the cars. A renter doesn’t respond and takes your money, it’s the drivers fault and it take almost two weeks to get your money back.

Cars 2 go llc took my money then didn't want me to rent the car after confirming i could use it inconvenienced my entire plans and Hyre car didn't seem to concerned. And i have to wait 2 weeks They need to have this company deleted off the platform.

What an unbelievably bad experience

What an unbelievably bad experience. Showed up to absolutely disgusting and over priced 2015 civic as a last resort after losing my car to a factory recall over 6 months ago. I was going to deal with the dirt because I had a shift starting in 30 min and I really needed the money from it. Low and behold the car also WOULDT START. The “owner” could of cared less and hyrecar refused to do anything except process a refund that will take 10 days. I used the last bit of cash I had for this vehicle and how I have absolutely no way to get another or make any funds. Hyrecar could of easily offered me credit or a double discount and get in me another vehicle but they refused. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY You are better off running barefoot across broken glass. Less painful for sure

DO NOT USE HYRECAR!!!! If the driver gets any kind of ticket while driving your car, they have a partnering company who is supposed to transfer the ticket to the driver- they do not help you at all get it resolved.

Beware!!!!!

Beware!!!!!! I was so excited to sign up and they are very helpful when you’re making your profile and whenever you get a request BUT!!!! As soon as you have an issue and actually need assistance you will have a completely different experience. They give ridiculous deadlines and seem to actually want you to not be able to submit claim info in time. The company VOi that supposed to handle tickets for them take weeks and even a whole month to respond and still don’t do their job. Don’t expect Hyrecar to help you get in contact with them either. I had a driver flee the police, abandon my car, keep my key, rack up almost $300 in tolls, got 6 tickets in only 8 days, smoke up my car, and damage the exterior. I understand that everything isn’t covered by the insurance but even the things that are you have to go through so much to get it done. This happened in February and it’s now June and the tickets are still unpaid! They’re now in judgment and fees have been added so it’s costing me even more money because I actually believed they would handle it and didn’t just pay them myself. If changes are made hyrecar could be so great! Why can’t tolls and tickets be taken right off the drivers card? Why not put more effort into protecting the owners and their cars. I convinced a friend to sign up also and his car was totaled on the second rental. Just know what you’re getting into. It’s a great idea and I was excited about it too but once you realize how much can go wrong and how differently they treat you once it does you will understand my frustration.

Renter Wrecked my car a month ago, and their insurance company is scamming me for 3 weeks now.
Sedgwick Claims Management Services, Inc is a total mess. They lie and make excuses, and now I have no car, and no retirement for the premiums I paid. and HyreCar says oh well! This is a mess. Turo takes GREAT care of their hosts.
