Virtual facilitation tour-de-force

As I'm beginning to dip my toes into 'virtual' facilitation this session was very timely for me. I am about to facilitate an on-line session with a number of presentation and break-out rooms. Martin and team gave a tour-de-force of how to engage people on line. I got many tips from it - it has boosted my confidence as I prepare for my forth-coming webinar.

In a league of their own

Having attended dozens of facilitation, training and workshop sessions over the years - I can say with some authority that ICA:UK stands in a league of its own in terms of substance, experience and value. It is literally impossible not to learn in their trainings. Highly recommended!

Virtual Facilitators Set Great Example

Orla Cronin and her team of virtual producers walked the talk in the virtual facilitation workshop. They demonstrated best practice and gave many practical tips that I have immediately transferred into the virtual workshops i am running.

Virtual facilitation skills training

I signed up for this 90 minute training to enhance my skills and understanding of working online; given the changing context of my work due to COVID-19. The training was packed full (in a good way) with hints, tips, and experiences of ways of working. Lots to take away, digest and explore further. Mostly, the training left me positive and even excited about my move online. Thanks for putting this on at this time.

Learnt expert Virtual Facilitation Skills

I attended the virtual facilitation course near the start of the Covid-19 lockdown and the skills I learnt have proved to be invaluable. The course was run in a very professional way, with the presenters modelling good practice and sharing insights - I'd recommend it and am signing up for the extended course next!

ICA approach is an ethos for dealing with people.

My first training in the ICA techniques was over ten years ago. I have attended two further trainings. All were excellent sessions. The methods themselves have been very useful in dealing with people in many situations. I have probably applied some aspect of them almost every day, whether in work or at home. Other trainings focus on methods; ICA teaches an ethos and the methods to develop it.

Excellent training day in Action Planning

I had a brilliant experience on the Action Planning course in Manchester led by Alan. It was really well facilitated and I gained loads of new tips on how to make action planning more inclusive and collaborative when working with communities. Because it was a small group we were able to troubleshoot challenges we've encountered in our own settings and work on examples of current projects. The ToP framework is very clear and we got to try out some of the techniques ourselves in the group with support from Alan. The blurb about the course said it was possible to do without having attended the Group Facilitation Methods training, but I think I would have found it easier to have done this training first, as many of the methods were used during the course. Nevertheless I got a lot out of it, and would recommend the training to anyone who's looking for new ways to work more effectively and collaboratively within an organisation, partnership or grassroots community project. The course booklet and other handouts were also really useful.

Excellent and informative trainings

I have attended Group Facilitation Methods, Action Planning and Participatory Strategic Planning with ICA:UK and have benefited from the learning and methods. I currently use the methods across all my work and it has helped me to build partnerships and collaborations across Third Sector organisations. It is helpful to meet other participants to gain ideas, thoughts and learning. All the trainers have been excellent with a continued offer of support after the training.

The course is worth every penny.

A 2-day Group Facilitation Methods course is worth every penny. Most people today realise just how important it is to move any discussions to a productive end, and the course provides ready-to-go solutions.

Really great, applicable course

I really enjoyed the two-day Facilitation Methods course - The trainer was excellent and very knowledgable and the course material very applicable to real life and work scenarios. I enjoyed the method of training and it was a great pace of introducing new material, exampling the theory, and then letting us test it ourselves. It was very effective to give multiple examples to learn from and the chance to grow our confidence using the methodology.

Group Facilitation Methods

I attended the two day Group Facilitation Methods Training, which includes Focused Conversations. The trainer was highly experienced and knowledgeable, and had a friendly, relaxed and warm style. This created a supportive and positive learning environment. The methods will be extremely useful for my role in the arts, working with partners to have productive conversations from planning, through to evaluation of programmes. I particularly enjoyed the active nature of the course, which gave plenty of opportunities for trying things out and putting the methods into action. I'll be looking at which ones to do next.

ICA UK delivers excellent professional development programs

I work in coaching and facilitation in Eastern Europe with NGO's, small and medium companies. I was attracted by ICA UK programs an I attend 3 ToP workshops: Group Facilitation Method, Meetings that works and Participatory Strategic Planing, all three in 2019. I was satisfied by contents, trainers and materials. This year, 2020, I'll attend ther 4th program: Facilitating Client Collaboration and preparing my self for CPF assessment IAF recognitions (Certified Professional Facilitator).
I warmly recommend ICA UK workshops for all trainers and facilitators no mater in what type of organisations are they active or work with. Participants will benefit from experienced trainers, great material, resources, and support after the workshops.

Attended the Group Facilitation Methods…

Attended the Group Facilitation Methods course in Cardiff. It is a long two days with potential to become tiring, but the two facilitators (Megan and Ann) were amazing and kept us fully engaged at all times. The Demonstration : Explanation : Practice model was really practical for a real chance to develop skills.
