I really enjoyed the training delivered…

I really enjoyed the training delivered by ICA:UK and have found it to be really useful in my work. I have brought the facilitation skills into my own work and into the training that I and my colleagues deliver on child rights and involving children and young people in decision-making. We get an enormous amount of use of the purple sticky walls in both training and facilitation of the consensus building method. Children and young people love those purple walls and think that it is a kind of magic the way things stick to them!

Widen your horizons, influence and success!

I most warmly recommend ICA:UK courses to organizations and institutions from all spheres of life and work.

I participated in the technology of participation and strategic planning, two ICA:UK pieces of training, in the Western Balkans, almost twenty years ago. Their specific methodology and approach continue to be highly useful and relevant to my work across continents and cultures and at all levels of stakeholders: local and national actors, governments, the EU, and the UN. One can use those methods in all spheres of work and life, whether you are talking with individuals or groups or your family planning.

UCA:UK training methodology empowers participants so that women and men feel exceptional, relevant, and part of the solution.
Once you gain those skills, you feel in charge of giving the power to your participants, employees, family or colleagues to make solutions sustainable, and this is what is needed more than ever. And all this is efficient, organized, and coordinated step-by-step. Go for it - it will widen your horizons, influence, and success!

I use what I learned every day of my working life.

I attended my first ICA:UK training course almost fifteen years ago. I use what I learned at that course - Group Facilitation Methods - every day of my working life. Whether in a 1-to-1 meeting or facilitating a large group, the foundational aspects of the process work. I wholeheartedly recommend the training.

A very engaging training in group facilitation

I attended the group facilitation course some months ago and found it highly engaging and relevant to my work. A very participatory method - I took away some tools which I could use in different settings. The training itself was also excellent - a very positive experience, the trainer took time to understand people's motivations. I hope to develop my skills with ICA further.

Foundational Focused Conversation Method is life-changing

I have had the good fortune to attend 3 training sessions with ICA:UK as well as participated in a number of facilitated workshops by them. These have all been excellent due to very experienced trainers and facilitators using versatile and well-founded methodologies. Their foundational Focused Conversation Method is life-changing. Once understood and practised, it can be implemented in seemingly any situation, making conversations less confrontational, easier & more productive, and participants genuinely understanding of each other. ICA:UK trainers and facilitators are so comfortable with and confident in their tool that they are unfazed by difficult situations and questions. I cannot recommend ICA:UK highly enough.

I have attended several ICA:UK training…

I have attended several ICA:UK training courses over the years, starting with group facilitation skills. The courses are of the highest quality both in terms of content, method and delivery. They were effective in giving me the tools to act in a facilitation role when required. They were certainly value for money. More important, however, is that the suite of courses are all based upon over 50 years of practice in the field drawing upon multi-disciplinary knowledge. Its certainly not simply transactional - you pay the money and get trained to earn more dosh - but is part of a global effort to promote social change.

Very good trainers, very good training, it's all very practical, there's bits of this you can use on an almost daily basis. It's excellent value for money and fun too.

Top marks for sticky wall

We purchased a sticky wall around six months ago from ICA:UK. It wasn't cheap but the quality is excellent and it has already earned its keep, lending a professional touch to workshop and focus group facilitation. Thoroughly recommend.

Just do it!

I'll make a wager that you'll not find a review under 5 stars. There are reason for this and you should attend one of their courses to find out for yourself why. I believe it is because the facilitators work hard planning the workshops, delivering the workshops and spending time evaluating each and everyone. As a participant, I felt valued...and it isn't often I can say that about other training course that I have attended.
Furthermore, I'm still using techniques that were introduced to me when I first attended (many years ago) and will continue to do so.

Group facilitation methods - highly recommended

I recently attended a 2-day group facilitation methods course having been a participant in a workshop using the methods. The combination of the excellent training (well-paced, engaging) and the methods themselves (robust, helpful) make these courses a must for anyone seeking to boost their facilitation skills and work with groups to achieve consensual outcomes. The quality of the training means you can start pretty much immediately putting the ideas in to practice, which I have done. It just works!

The original facilitation trainers

These the original facilitation trainers, who launched me on my facilitation career. Their practice teaches the fundamentals of facilitation, and its ethos, and provides a range of very engaging visual tools with which to work with groups. A fantastic grounding.

Practical and engaging facilitation training

As a novice to facilitation, I found the two day Group Facilitation Methods course extremely helpful. The trainer was highly knowledgeable, engaging and encouraging, and both days flew by. Whilst there was a lot of information to take in, there were so many hands-on opportunities to practice new techniques that I did not feel overwhelmed. Taking part in this course gave me the confidence to facilitate our service user forum, so thank you to ICA:UK and their trainers for all their help.

Excellent facilitation training provider

I've done two training courses with them - they were really enjoyable and well priced but more to the point I am using the techqniques I acquired in these courses on a weekly basis. Absolutely brilliant for anyone starting to work as a facilitator or for an established facilitator wanting to learn new methods. Very strong on structure and getting people to join in by engaging emotionally. The courses are given by practitioners which really really helps.

Excellent training which I'm still…

Excellent training which I'm still using years later. If you've experienced any training with ICA facilitators you'll understand the importance of the sticky wall...and why I was so happy to order one as a work 'Christmas present'!
I've already used it in a workshop and was very happy with it. I could have made one myself, but not as well and not as cost effectively - well worth the money.
