Excellent proactive support

I have received excellent support from Frazer M in helping to complete a SIPP transfer into ii. The transfer was not smooth (issue with the previous provider) and required considerable effort from myself and Frazer to get it over the line. Frazer was proactive, responsive and committed to getting the transfer completed. Without his support the process would have been considerably more frustrating and lengthier than it was. Thank you for your help.

Hi the charges are good but the old…

Hi the charges are good but the old adage you get what you pay for is certainly true with ii. Why can’t you access your account details further back than two years? I asked and yes you can but need to pay an additional fee? Shame on you ii. Charging for looking at my own details..

Kevin very good indeed

Well done Kevin for understanding and being impeccable wrt the trade I was trying to make blocked by an existing trade. Top service.

ii can I suggest you allow the client to amend trades before they go to market as an improvement as per other platforms.

Thanks for your reply. I am glad you listen to feedback. Now please act on it. I suggest you fix the inability to cancel or modify trades before market cutoff and add switches. You are way behind other platforms. I have told you this many times. Please fix this or you lose me.

When I look through the history of my reviews with you I am reminded it is just kind staff making up for your shortfalls. Please take heed from other providers and significantly improve your interface.

Pretty poor response to secure message

Pretty poor response to secure message. I already hold an ISA and a trading account and was looking into transferring a SIPP to interactive investor. I had a question as to whether 2 of my investments could be transferred in-specie. After a long wait for a reply, the response was that I would have to initiate the transfer and then the case handler assigned would answer my questions. I don't want to initiate the transfer until I know the answers to my questions. If you don't know the answers but the transfer team case handlers do, can't you double-check with them ? I then queried how they couldn't answer what must be a fairly common scenario and just got the same response. It's put me off transferring my SIPP to interactive investor if they can't answer questions about their own processes. I did subsequently call and the agent on the call was much more helpful. A previous question via secure message regarding trading US shares in my ISA was also answered quickly and concisely.

Secure message response time and 13 hour delay in fund data

I have recently commenced moving my portfolio from HL to ii. I like to share feedback with others.

ii state they aim to respond to secure messages within 5 days. I raised a concern on 16/4/16 with chasers issued 21/4 and 22/4 (attaching screenshots). 23/4 with still no answer, I issued a complaint. ii finally responded to 16/4 message on 24/4 (acknowledging receipt and to investigate) and the complaint on 29/4.
I gave ii until today to give me the answer to the question raised 15 days ago or I would put it on Trustpilot. Surprisingly they just replied:
'The team have come back to me and advised that Fund price data on the ii platform will almost always be from the previous day’s valuation. We don’t currently receive intraday price updates for Funds. This is something we would like to improve in the future but unfortunately we are unable to implement this currently'.

What this means is unlike HL,AJ Bell and others if view your portfolio after close of trading on any particular days trading IT WILL NOT BE ACCURATE. ii update the funds around 7am the following day just before the LSE opens. The statement on their website that date maybe 15 mins delays is false. FOR FUNDS IT SHOULD STATE 13 HOURS DELAYED. Its generally issued around 6pm on HL platform.

ii is a low cost platform. Its becoming clear what some of the differences are between HL and ii. Then its a subjective decision of costs vs service

Excellent support from Curtis Bowker in the Transfers Team

I wanted to leave some positive feedback about Curtis Bowker in the Transfers Team at Interactive Investor.

During a recent transfer process he has been consistently diligent, clear, and reliable in following through on what he said he would do. In an area that can sometimes feel very transaction-driven, Curtis stood out by taking genuine ownership of the case and treating it seriously from a customer perspective rather than simply passing things along.

He communicated clearly and used whichever contact method was most appropriate at each stage, including both phone calls and secure messages. I personally appreciate being able to speak directly when needed to get answers there and then, and that flexibility made the process much easier to manage alongside work.

He demonstrated real accountability for the parts of the process he was responsible for, which makes a significant difference during what can otherwise be a stressful transfer experience.

A real credit to the Transfers Team and to Interactive Investor overall.
