Excellent help re SIPP payments

I spoke to Baljeet today to ask if the pension I'm already receiving could count towards income so be added to my SIPP as a Personal Contribution. He wasn't sure, but double checked with colleagues before confirming that I couldn't use it as a Personal Contribution. He was also very patient with me as I tried to explain what information I was after!

Changing my Direct Debit set up…

I needed help with changing my Direct Debit, I rang them and in less than a minute I was talking to Mark in their Manchester office. He walked me through everything clearly and quickly. My new DD set-up was completed so that I came away reassured.

Drawdown Information to Start Process

Rang in, spoke to Shawn whom past me to Dean in the Pension department as I was looking for info on drawdown.
He took me through the 5 or 7 screens (seemed a lot at the time....) The money came through to my bank in 5 days. Thank you Dean.
They say 10day in case they have to sell something I believe?

Enabling Shareholder Benefit documentation.

To enable me to claim shareholder benefit for purposes of spending on a cruise, and as embarkation date was out of sync with the quarterly Statement, I needed an ad hoc statement from ii showing my cruise line share holding. For various personal reasons I took my eye off the ball and left It almost too late to contact ii. I only had two days to beat the deadline. Normally ii have a maximum of 5 day turn round to deal with secure messages. So I contacted ii by phone. I was dealt with by Becky who patiently and professionally listened to my predicament, sort a Manager and organised the required documentation which was in my Inbox within two hours! Brilliant service from Becky and also Ezra.

Trading on Linked Accounts - Disappointing

Message from support person, Addie Christian, was very clear and the response was prompt.

However ii don't offer the HL feature whereby a family member can make trades on behalf of another. e.g. I used to make online fund trades for my wife's ISA.

There are many 'features' not available in ii, but still better than the 2026 HL charging model

Update Post Reply: Thanks for reply. As I work during the day any fund buy/sell happen on the weekend usually in the evenings, so need online access for this.

To clarify, we do offer TPA for customers who would like another person to place trades on their behalf, however this service is currently available for trades placed over the phone only and does not include online account access or online trading permissions.

We understand that online delegated access is a feature some customers value, and your feedback has been noted as we continue to review and improve our services.

We’re also glad to hear that, despite some features not currently being available, you still feel we offer better value compared with the 2026 HL charging model.
