The Villa Edira made a superb base for our Quiet Side of the Italian Riviera holiday. The staff were warm and welcoming, our room was spotlessly clean and comfortable, the breakfasts were delicious... See more

Inntravel provided excellent hiking trail information both in a handy notebook and in gpx files. In addition, the hotels they selected and recommended eateries were great. Since they provide multiple options for self-guided hikes and dining on any day, you have flexibility to make your own choices while also having some of the guesswork taken out of the trip. And if you’d choose to make your own agenda, that’s okay, too! We just completed a walking holiday along the Côte d’Azur through InnTravel. We’ll definitely use them again.

We just finished the InnTravel Western Crete walk+ car. We enjoyed this trip immensely and especially liked having a car! We completed all the walks except for the Irini (too wet) and Samaria Gorges (closed). We relied on the GPX navigation and used the notes for back up. The hikes were scenic and different. Most were moderately difficult largely owing to some rocks and scree. We drove all over Western Crete without problems. A highlight was the Elia Hotel. What an amazing place and the staff were wonderful. The food was made in house, with many ingredients sourced from the garden. The panoramic views over the valley were incredible. We enjoyed everything about this tour which was invigorating yet so relaxing.

Our Walk along St. Francis Way in Umbria was among the best walking trips we have done. The walking notes were clear and easy to follow and the towns we visited were charming and far less touristy than in nearby Tuscany. The walks were varied, with many panoramic views and lovely scenery. The hotels were comfortable. We also liked that we had some 2 night stays, which allowed us to modify or even skip a day if we needed to rest.

We found the walking routes to be very well judged, with excellent support information on the towns that we stayed in as well as detailed description of the walks themselves. The hotels were cleverly chosen, with a nice range of charming old villas and a couple of modern hotels. Overall, a well organised and thoroughly enjoyable holiday.

Fabulous week walking in the Prosecco hills. The April sunshine was perfect for us and the level of difficulty of the walks (2) was a perfect level to make us feel like we had done some work each day. The walking notes provided by Inntravel were accurate. We downloaded the GPX files onto my husband's watch and the combination was just what we needed. We didnt ever get lost. The estimated timings were pretty accurate, if anything a bit generous, we did most walks with a little bit to spare. All the hotels were excellent, but the last 2 in particular were very special in different ways. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff at the Municipio 1815 and being served a 5 star breakfast taken on the terrace by a young man with impeccable service while looking out into the hills was fabulous. But then the stay at the CastelBrando was just an amazing experience. The treck up wasn't quite as bad as we thought it might be for steepness and it was well worth the effort. We were out of the busy season and were upgraded to the 'royal suite' and in fact treated as for royalty for the whole of our stay. The castle is fabulous to explore and the stay included a 3 hour visit to their Spa complex, which was a great way to end the week. There is a funicular that goes to the town below so no need to repeat the treck up, thankfully! A couple of tips - we started our holiday over the Easter weekend. Most of the hotels were booked for bed and breakfast only. The environment is quite rural and while restaurants were advertised on Google as being open in the evenings, they clearly weren't. This was also the case for several of the Osterias referred to in the Inntravel notes. Do ask the hotel staff for advice and help with booking evening restaurants as opening times seemed to vary considerably. Refreshingly, we enjoyed being in a part of Italy where English is not so readily spoken, so brush up on your Italian! The taxis all worked brilliantly, always on time, all delightful people. The countryside through which we walked was wonderful - a great mix of vineyards and woodlands surrounded by snow-topped mountains, completely invigorating. We now think differently about the effort that goes in to making a bottle of Prosecco and now know what the 'good stuff' tastes like too! All in all, it was a unique adventure - very highly recommended.

Gozo is one of the most beautiful places we’ve explored with Inntravel—rich in history, dotted with peaceful villages, and full of stunning churches that make every step feel special. It made for a truly memorable trekking holiday.
As ever, Inntravel’s directions were spot on—clear, reliable, and easy to follow. The only times we went astray were entirely our own fault, usually because we were too busy gawping at the views and wandered straight past a turning.
The Grand Hotel was perfectly placed, just a short stroll from the port, with bus stops conveniently nearby. Over Easter Sunday and Monday the buses were understandably packed, so we occasionally resorted to an Uber—but that was a small price to pay for travelling at such a busy time.
In fact, Gozo’s laid-back charm rather spoiled us. Moving on to Malta felt like being dropped back into the fast lane after days of gentle trails and quiet island life.
All in all, a fantastic trip—packed with sights, scenery, and just enough adventure to leave us happily exhausted and in need of a rest once home.

We had the most incredible holiday - thanks to great organisation, fabulously chosen walks, useful GPX files, awesome hotels and inns and the wealth of information that we received in our packs. Thank you INNTRAVEL. We were also blessed with extremely good weather, amazing host hospitality and the fact that our holiday coincided with Easter - so we naturally observed the incredible Easter processions in each of the villages - what a bonus!
The walks were perfect lengths and for most of the routes there were hardly any other walkers around (blissful). Walking poles an absolute necessity for us - especially for the more challenging Barranc d'infern.
We loved it!

Had a great walking week with Inntravel to Gozo. The hotel is well situated and comfortable but will be better when renovations are complete. Having a bus pass and free to do what we wanted every day meant we saw lots of the island and interesting historical sights as well as good walks. Met some other walkers on a group holiday who were finding the going a bit difficult but we could please ourselves. Another good holiday thank you.

We had a wonderful week hiking in Madeira at the end of March beginning of April. Although a number of key Levadas were closed Inntravel provided alternative options which worked well.
We particularly appreciated the notes which highlighted the conditions on some of the Levadas so we were well prepared for all conditions.
The hotels were superb the highlights being Porto Bay golf hotel in Santo de Serra and Cantanheiro in Funchal. The gpx files were a godsend.
I can’t finish without singing the praises of Angelo who pick us up from the airport and collect us promptly as expected over the course of the week He was charming, professional and informative.

Walking the Vicentina coast, Portugal
Thank you for a wonderful holiday. The Inns provided delicious 3 course dinners and good breakfasts, were very welcoming, bedrooms were really great.
We were so impressed by our Portuguese hosts – so friendly and conversational. The pick ups went very very well. Special commendations to Sylvia who collected us us when we arrived and drove us for 2 hours at the end to Faro airport. She was superlative – our sadness that we forgot to give her a tip. It meant an exhausting 4 hour drive for her and she did it all with great willingness!
The walks along the coast were super. The sea was so wild – waves crashing and the wild flowers were delightful. The first few days the weather was perfect. However it had been raining heavily during February and we had to cross extremely challenging boggy areas in the lower parts, but we managed. The last 2 days the weather broke and we walked hours through the rain, but we coped. The 20 km walk to Capo Lago would have been an impossibility. We walked only half of the distance by taking a taxi at the outset. Fortunately my nephew had seen that at walk’s close we would be crossing the beach at the Spring high tide and he hurried us along. I think we were the last to be able to cross, despite the rapidly incoming tide, without getting wet. Those that came later were up to their calves. It’s certainly worth warning walkers of this possibility.
At Faro airport we nearly missed our plane, because after Security we found ourselves joining a huge crowd of hundreds to have passports checked by only 3 officials. It was taking forever and extremely worrying. I had to jump the queue to the front. After this was the long trek through the duty free and then finding the directions to the right gate.
All in all it was a fabulous holiday; somehow the days were really stretched and gave us full value and we’ve come back feeling really refreshed.
We owe you a lot of thanks for all the arranging and organising you did.
O, I forgot to mention that the inland trails given proved impossible to follow as they hadn't been maintained as trails.

Great pre-travel information, and help when we needed it to sort out an alternative means of getting to Ronda when our train was cancelled at very short notice.
Four very different, characterful hotels in central locations.
Useful suggestions for walking tours and places to eat in the folder provided.
Inntravel took away much of the stress associated with independent travel, leaving us free to enjoy the experience.

This is our 7th Inntravel holiday, the other 6 have been fine. We are flying to the Isle of Man on the 12th April 2026 and as yet on the 3rd April all we have received is the travel pass for the island. I have contacted them 3 times and been promised the tickets and information will be in tomorrow’s post. As yet we have no airline tickets, details of walks or hotel. Time will tell if we get anything. Our last Inntavel holiday was in 2019 and this is not the same level of service as then. They are not the cheapest, but in the past we have always thought you pay for what you get. How wrong are we!!!

From showing an interest to booking, Inntravel do all that they can to provide you with the holiday you desire. Transfers work exceptionally well. Going to places that are not tourist hotspots is the great appeal for us, with full confidence in the walking notes and GPX files. Staying in a small village and being looked after by locals all added to the charm. Perfect

We enjoyed the Walking Tenerife & Teide National Park trip in February. The range of different scenery on offer was wonderful and gave us a totally different perspective on Tenerife. The car hire (CICAR) was friendly and unpressured, the two hotels in La Laguna and Vilaflor were excellent. The third - in Garachico - was not available, so we made our own arrangements. We also arranged our flights. We found that the trip notes were great in two respects. First, for identifying in advance which walks would suit us best. Secondly, as clear directions that were easy to follow. We also downloaded the gpx tracks as a backup, but didn't need to use them. Throughout the booking process, Inntravel were easy to deal with and showed a lot of flexibility with the arrangements. We definitely plan on using the company again in the future and are happy to recommend them very highly.

Thank you Inntravel for a great holiday. Wonderful food, staff and accommodation at the hotel (Hotel Kristall in Leutasch, Austria) and very impressed by the detailed trip notes

We have just had our third walking holiday with InnTravel and always found them to offer a really good level of customer service and value for money. The hotels they select are of a very good standard/amenities and their multi-centre holidays are well structured to give you an overview of a particular location. With their varied and interesting walks, you just follow their written notes which are always accurate and detailed rather than a map. I would fully recomend Inntravel.

Really good service from Inntravel, particularly good at sorting out flight issues. Holiday package was excellent and accurately described.

Our winter walking holiday with Inntravel in Pertisau in the Austrian mountains was a very enjoyable exerience. The family-run hotel was outstanding, with the most friendly and helpful staff and food of a high standard. The scenery was superb and we did some lovely winter walks. Inntravel holidays never disappoint.

We booked the Austria’s Great Cities holiday, literally by rail from St Pancras. We had left it a bit late, but all was sorted by the company, other than nights at the beginning and end of the trip, in Zurich. We managed to book ourselves into the recommended hotel. Rail tickets, advice for getting around Paris and hotels were all sorted. We had a couple of queries over the walking routes in Salzburg and Vienna which I have since passed on to the company.
