Absolutely love these shoes - first time in the RoadFly and I am super impressed. Having move from another brand I was a little concerned at first. They do come up half a size smaller than my usual shoes. Will be looking to replace my off road shoes with a pair of TrailFly's as I love the new toebox shape.

A very comfortable model, with sufficient amount of cushioning, started using the trainers every day straight from the box. These are also good for walking/general use. For me the sizing was way off and I ended up getting size 41 instead of my usual 40 in other brands. With the next pair I will explore the standard width because of the wide toe shape. As a woman I bought this version but it seems there are no differences between the men's and women's models as long as you get the size right. The mesh is very breathy. The second shipment was very fast. My only wish is to see more colours - the current choice is very limited, with the usual pink or peach for women - what an outdated concept.

In short - Awesome trainer, great durability and materials, really great fit and feel underfoot, and much sought after wide toebox, value for money! :D I bought the Roadfly after poring over reviews, couldnt find anything from other brands (even within the wide toebox niche) that gave space enough, 'til we got these INOV8. :D I got the UK9 wide and prefer about a thumbs width space at the front and these are bang on, I’ve added pics stood on the insole to give a point of reference. Mainly used for long walking mileage (4-4.2 mph avg pace :P) and a bit of running, I’ve had no issues at all, great stuff all round. I’ve done about 65 miles in them so far (either rotating pairs of shoes or one day on/one day off) and added pics to shoe outsole wear, after a quick fettle. Barely a dent on them so Im stoked. Midfoot space is great too, as is heel lockdown. No real cons I can think of, heel area did feel a bit firm at first but was fine after about 25 miles. Well balanced in usage (left foot usually slightly pronates but theres outsole coverage at the medial area here and I think that really helps). Happy to recommend, especially if someone is looking for a toe splay ‘anatomically correct toebox’ type daily trainer/all rounder. For the price these are definitely worth a look in. Cheers, INOV8!

I found these shoes difficult to put on and wear. They were about right size lengthways (UK 7.5) but too narrow in the midfoot area and felt constrictive. I'm not sure if the wider fit option would have been any better. They just felt like I actually had shoes on my feet, which is not a good place to be. #twentytwoyearsfittingrunningshoes

I have big, wide feet and was drawn to inov8 by the availability of wide fit across the range and the wealth of sizing i formation on their website. The Roadfly shoes I was able to buy confidently online as a result and the fit is great. I have run a few times in them now and they are very comfortdable. They feel light. The lower than I'm used to drop is not noticeable. The quality of the shoes seems very good I'm hoping they will last well. I have run on road, gravel and some forestry roads and the drop feels secure and fives confidence. Overall very pleased and will likely buy inov8 again. Extra marks for the wide fit and the shape of the toe box it is excellent.

With all the great reviews I read about the Roadfly, I really wanted to like the shoes. But alas, no. Here's the story: The great reviews caused me to look for the Roadfly locally to try on, but none of the three running stores in my area carried the shoe. The reviews were good enough that I decided to take a chance and order a pair. Really liked the yellow color. For reference, I'm a small guy (133 pounds), a heel striker, have low volume feet, and run 30-50 miles per week. On trying them on, I found the fit in the heel and mid-foot to be good. The forefoot was comfortably wide. My toes loved the space. But, when I tightened the laces, I found that there was so much fabric that the fabric bunched up over my foot. See photo. After a short run, I found the mid-sole to be far too firm on heel-strike and the heel to toe transition not the smooth transition I was hoping for (like my old Innov8 TrailRoc 285s), but instead clompy. The Roadfly seemed to work well for a lot of people. I was just not one of them. I regretfully decided to return the shoes.

Solid road shoe with roomy toe box and no friction points in heel or upper. Neutral stability with good cushion. Still to test beyond 10 miles distances but feels good so far on 5-6 mile runs. Shoe is light and responsive in toe off.

Great shoe. Very comfy with a nice thick and comfy sole. Really nice fit. Hopefully they last a long time. Left shoe keeps making a slight squeaking sound which is a shame as they are brand new
