Perfect, don’t change a thing. I purchased a set of TraiFly Speed when they came out. Love them as well, they fit perfectly. The older I get, the joints need a little more cushion and these fit that well.

Comfortable shoe. It is wider at the toe box and alittle lower volume at heel. More and more comfortable. Not sure if they will hold up for trail running. Seems to be an industry problem. Light, comfy but not durable. I am happy with shoe.

2nd long run in trailfly, one up on dry fells and other on mixed terrain. Bought half size up as advise, feet feel snug, no movement, feel like I can run naturally with no restrictions. Good training shoe, well done Inov-8

This is a double review as I didn't get time for the Roclite review yet. First the Roclite shoes: I used it on the Colorado part of the CDT and was actually very happy with them. I hiked 750+ miles and they were still good to go beside I had some holes on both shoes at the inside front. The holes started after two weeks and another week later one of them was really big. Good thing, the goretex below lasted another 2-3 weeks, so I was able to use them longer. But after 6 weeks I swapped them even though the soil was still pretty good looking. So I bought the trailfly for the Wyoming part of the CDT. I'm still using them (for 400 miles now), but yesterday I realised that the mid soil or I guess it's more the foam collapsed on both shoes on the inner side at the heel. When I looked at my pictures of the Roclite they had the same issue but not as bad as it is at the Trailfly. This shouldn't happen at all. And I think I'm not too heavy with my 80-90 Kg including my pack. So I have to dump the trailfly soon as I had some issues with my hips lately. Which sucks, as the soil is still good for a lot more miles. It is really bad, as I liked the Roclite a lot and would have bought them again once Inov8 will offer them as non-Goretex. Both shoes are good and I can recommend them if Inov8 fixes the issue with the Mid soil / Foam.

I am quite disappointed by the too soft heel cushioning. Compared with the previous G270 and G300max (I love them !), the new Trailfly is very soft, and does not maintain my heel. Important to notice that it may be particular to myself, I know I need to have the heel well maintained, and other people could be very happy with this soft cushioning. On the positive point, the possibility to select standard or wide foot is fantastic. I returned the shoes to Inov8, they reimboursed me very fast without discussion, thanks for that !

I'm past the time of daily running (66 now) but still run a bit, and hike a lot. The TrailFly shoes have been good for both. Footbed is almost as firm as a light hiker, which I appreciate.

I've got many miles in the Trailfly (2 100mile ultras and the training for them). I bought these shoes because 1) they have the best grip of any other shoe on the wet, rooty and rocky trails of the eastern US Appalachian mountains and 2) they fit perfectly. If you take the time to use the online sizing guide and measure your feet (both of them!!) you're assured to get the right size. The sizing is a bit different than I'm used to in the US. I have a wide foot and like my toes to have room to spread out and the 10W fit perfectly. Highly recommend this shoe and brand.

Really disappointed with this shoe. I have bought numerous Inov-8 Trailfly G 270 (V2 and earlier), all UK size 10.5 and absolutely loved them. I suspect Inov-8 are phasing that model out as I couldn’t find that shoe anywhere in my size. I went for the new TrailFly (standard) in UK size 10.5. Totally different shoe. Tight at the toe and across the bottom of the laces. I suspect the new ‘standard’ shoe is actually a lot tighter than the previous model. The shoe is generally not comfortable at the toe, laces or the heal….. just weird all round. And the round toe looks weird.

Great shoe, Extremely comfortable and reasonably good value (comparing with what's out there). Only gripe is that I supinate and still end up with loads of wear on the outside so lucky if I get 500 or 600km out of a shoe!

A great update to my favourite trail shoe! Really enjoying these so far, new shape and comfort added but still has the grip and feels as durable as it's predecessors. Wasn't sure about the heel to toe drop increase but haven't really noticed the difference in action.

It feels like one of the more cushioned Trail shows of Inov8 (might be coz my last Trailfly’s had 900miles under them….) Love this shoe!
