These are a nice improvement on the TrailFly Ultra G 300 Max I bought three years ago, which have served me well over 1,000km. Slightly lighter and, somehow, appear smaller on the outside despite being the same foot size. They feel less bulky. They do feel a slightly snugger fit than previously but maybe that's because I went with the standard instead of the wide fit. They feel great.

Ideal ratio of wide toe box to more narrow heel and good cushioning. But inside construction of an elastic flap attached to the tongue on both sides felt like my high arch foot was really tight in there. Would buy a size up to try and alleviate that if there is a next time depending on how well these hold up.

I have wide feet & these shoes are the most comfortable I’ve bought so far. Being an older gentleman I wished they had more plain variety but they don’t. In addition they’ve ceased making the ultra version which is a wide in the from & on the heel which the nearer side derision is not so wide in the heel & is not quite as comfortable. All in all, great shoe

I wear 8.5 wide and I cannot even get the right shoe on my foot. Way, way , way too narrow and not suitable for someone with wide feet and high arches. These need to be returned,

This is one of the very best, if not the best, trail shoes that I’ve tried in more than 40 years. Used them to place 3rd overall in the Over 50 Division in a rugged 30 K alpine race in Colorado, straight out of the box. Highly recommend.

By far the best shoes all-mountain trail shoes I've worn in the past 15 years. Perfect room in the toe box. Secure in the midfoot and heel. Just cushy enough. I do feel a little lateral instability in the heel in a heel strike sometimes though. These are the shoes I would take to UTMB if I went back again.

The "anatomical shape" of these shoes is great for me. I usually have to find a compromise of a shoe being not too wide at the heel and mid-foot, while still leaving room for my fore-foot. And I have to size up to keep my big toes from bumping the tip of the shoe. These shoes fit just right. So far I have run distances in the 10 to 15km range. No rubbing, no hot spots, nothing. Even though these are the non-speed version with the more cushioned sole, the shoes have a pretty direct feel. Reacting to uneven terrain is no problem at all. I will certainly buy more shoes from Inov-8. I bought these through the EU warehouse, and the shipping process was very, very quick.

THESE SHOES ARE EXPERTLY CRAFTED, VERY NICE AND LIGHTWEIGHT, I GOT TWO PAIRS FOR $222 ON THE RECENT INOV8 WEBSITE. I CURRENTLY OWN SEVERAL BROOKS AS WELL AS ALTRA LONE PEAKS. 10.5 WIDE WAS WHAT I ORDERED. MY ONLY COMPLAINT IS THEY RUN NARROW. I WOULD PUT THEM AT MORE OF A "2E VERSUS 4E" TRADITIONAL SHOE MEASUREMENTS.

The new Trailfly are a fantastic shoe. The wide foot shape fit and 6mm drop is perfect for my feet. I’ve never had a pair of shoes that fit so well. The grip is great for hard packed trails and the midsole gives a nice balance between cushioning and ground feel. I’m looking forward to getting the Mudtalons for the winter.

I knew these were a pretty flexible shoe and they are. I’m used to much stiffer trail shoes and am not sure my ankles will be strong enough for longer efforts. I did, however, run a personal best on a local downhill segment on my first time out! (After @ 140 attempts)

Really comfy straight out of the box and the larger tow box makes a huge difference. So far they have been nice and grippy, although I've only used them in the (admittedly very) wet spring and early summer. I also like the fact that they are a British company. I initially had an issue with the first pair that I bought, and emailed Inov8 customer services who replied the same day with a more than satisfactory response. I will certainly be buying more Inov8 in the future - I like the company ethos!
