I have yet to actually wear these, but I just wanted to note that the sizing is kind of confusing and inconsistent. I purchased a pair of F-Lites a few months ago (albeit from a third party) and they were true to size (6.5wide). When buying these, I went up a half size (as recommended) to 7wide and they were WAY too small. I had to do some trial and error (and pay for the returns) until I finally found a size that fit. I ended up with 8wide (1 1/2 sizes larger than my usual shoe size). I compared the trailflys (blue) to my f-lites (white) and they were essentially the same, with the Trailflys being only marginally larger (see attached pictures). Other than that, I look forward to testing these in the next few weeks, since I’ve been enjoying my other inov8 shoes so far.

Original review I wanted to love these shoes but so far I am struggling to run in them comfortably. For some reason they put a lot of pressure on the top of my foot and I can't seem to lace them without feeling bruised after each run. I've ran about 100km in them so far, and tried different lacing methods and loosening them etc but I'm not sure I'm going to be able to continue to use them. So feeling pretty sad. They were very comfortable to try on. I love the wide toe box and the sole shape and I've never had a problem like this with trail shoes before. I thought they were going to be great. It's quite baffling. I guess they just don't fit my foot.

Another excellent trail shoe from Inov8. Wider toe box and a good balance of protection and feel underfoot, as well as great grip. Tasteful blue colourway too. I'm struggling with the heel, which is a low cup and the material is a bit abrasive. It's already worn a small hole in one of my heels and shows signs of wear itself, but apart from that a very good shoe.

I’m a street size 6 had to size up to 7.5 but overall this shoe has been great for trail running

The best trail shoe I've tried. Super comfy straight from the box, these have been everywhere with me. Sure they don't have the best traction on deep, sloppy, slippery mud but I haven't fallen over in the them yet and they give me confidence moving 'quickly' over almost any other terrain.

These are very comfortable shoes, which are coping with the trails very well. Haven't navigated heavy mud yet and the lugs are relatively small, so not sure how much grip I will get.

I purchased these shoes for walking around my neighborhood. I was looking for something that provides more protection when walking on pavement and concrete. These are just what I needed and I can now enjoy my walks. They have a nice solid feel while still having enough flexibility and cushioning. The fit is also good. I purchased my usual size. They have good heel lock on my narrow heels. I did replace the thicker insoles with the thinner ones from my Trailtalon 235s so I would have enough toe room, and I also added adhesive felt pads for more arch support. Perfection! Thank you Inov8!

Lovely to have the extra toe room and a nice wide toe box. I have narrow feet but wear barefoot shoes a lot except for running. For me this is the best compromise I’ve found between having a foot shaped toebox but also some cushioning. I don’t like the rough texture of the insole however - there are little tiny bumps on the surface of the insole. it makes it less comfortable. Not sure what the logic behind this was (it’s deliberate not a fault I think).

Fantastic all rounder shoe. I have wide feet so appreciate the new wide fit as an option. Feels comfortable right out of the box. Used right away for long run then a fell walk and no sore feet on either. Will use for my first 100 miler next month.

I brought these after seeing them and trying them on at the Outdoor Show. First run was a shortish run on the lanes - and my initial reaction was a little unsure - however the next run was a medium length trail run and the feeling of the new trainers just seemed so much better - more comfy, more supported and more fitted in all the right places. Just seemed to take 1 run to let my feet relax into the shape of a new shoe.
