Excellent cover with some additions. My dog is four this year and I've had to change policies due to unreasonably high renewal prices. In those cases the cover was not great, so I'm learning I also ne... See more

UTTER DISGRACE OF A COMPANY DO NOT BUY INSURACE FROM THESE - WON'T COVER VET BILL OR EUTHANASIA BECAUSE MY DOG HADN'T BEEN FOR A CHECKUP IN THE LAST 12 MONTHS... CON ARTISTS... SCANDALOUS... SO BASICALLY IF YOU HAVENT HAD A GENERAL CHECKUP IN 12 MONTHS - YOU ARENT INSURED.
I have since had a reply from this business as you can see below - once again washing their hands of the problem.... so I have included my reply as a matter of public interest.
Thank you for your email. I am furious about this exclusion - none of my other pet insurances have ever had the exclusion. It is like private medical insurance for people - you don't have to have a 'health checkup every 12 months' to validate your insurance - this is an utter con and the fact it is buried until page 25 of the policy tells me you are hiding it. This should be fore-front of the policy wording, with a checkbox to ensure people can't take out this policy until they have checked and acknowledged this key fact... hence my choice of wording to prevent any other victims of this scandal. I have since cancelled my policy for my other dog with you due to this. It is a disgrace - and I can only take relief from this the fact that I didn't have an extortionate vet bill to claim - with the same disgraceful result.
You should be ashamed of your business practice.

Easy to set up a new policy online.
I had a query about my direct debit so I phoned up. Call was answered promptly and by a very helpful member of staff.

I’ve called 4 times and every time they immediately answer, they’ve guided me through the process and the claim was paid within a few weeks. Personally don’t have a single negative thing to say.

Yet again not heard from this company, yet my vet submitted paperwork on 29th July and still no news or update on 12th August!
How can it take so long to acknowledge your customers!

Didn’t take on board what I had explained on my emails but the call handler couldn’t see them until she checked another system then she apologised and sorted the problem

Very easy application system and a fantastic price
We got a higher cover for our dog for over £150 cheaper than our current provider.

Many different plans to chose from. Something for everyone. I chose the plan which doesn't require a percentage of vets bill to be paid. All prices were very competitive

Laid out extremely well, very organised and user friendly. Explained everything very well and made sense to me.

Easy to set up new policy. Was impressed that there was no extra excess (typically 20%) for an eight year old dog and saved over £20 per month on renewal cost. Had pet insurance for 40 years and never had to make a claim. Hope we never have to use it.

I made a claim in 2024 for a lump on the chest of my golden retriever, I paid a small fee with my vets and they dealt directly with insureyourpaws. There was no issue the claim went straight forward. I have been with insureyourpaws for 8 years and claimed once, this years premium has gone up by £40 was expecting a lot more after the claim. Can't understand all the bad reviews but I will continue to use insureyourpaws.

Be very wary of this company! It has been months now waiting for our money back! We sent the information only to be asked about it again and again!

Absolutely shocking! It has taken extortionately long for Insure your paws to progress our claim and we are still no near getting it settled. We have an insurance with Sainsburies for our cat and it gets them 5 days to assess a claim and refund the vet bills back to us. I cannot praise them more.
On the other hand, we had nothing but grief with Insure your Paws. We have provided a huge amount of information to them, the full medical history of our dog, and they keep coming back with more questions. It appears they do not review what has already been provided to them or maybe they do, but this is a tactic of theirs to delay the reimbursement of the vet fees as much as possible, as every time they raise a question, their processing time is being extended by another 10 days. Just shocking! Be very mindful getting a pet insurance with them.

Great choice of levels of cover and grat prices.
Their website was easy to negotiate and it was easy to sign up for the policy I wanted.
