Avoid if possible and perhaps they'll change

Like everyone on here I'm hoping enough people check here before using this service and then realise it's not worth investing anything in intl the format changes. Trying to watch a show... Five commercials before the show status which you can't fast forward... Shows been on maybe 15 mins and another 5 commercials are being force fed. I expect to see 20plus commercials in this 1 hour show.... Absolutely shocking.

Don’t pay for it

It’s no better if you pay for it so that you don’t have to watch adverts….you are still have to watch 4/5 breaks showing 30/60 trailers for shows…..the app crashes after EVERY add break. It’s diabolical.
The app doesn’t work on fire stick, iPhone or smart TV.

Like everyone else I am sick to death of both the crap platform and absolute grift with all the adds, for which us stupid premium members pay the privilege for! Well no more, I’m out too, and I suspect that the platform will die pretty soon because the idiots who run it clearly have no concept of what a value for money offering looks like in the modern streaming world!

Outrageously deficient

Slow to activate and load.
Unresponsive and sluggish.
Buffers, freezes and crashes with alarming regularity.
When you have to re-start a programme because of a tech glitch, you often get put back to the start of the episode or have to sit through 5 minutes of ads again.
All too regular interruptions by trailers, (if I can't watch a series I want to watch because of glitching, I'm not likely to waste any time watching other random stuff!)

There are lots of other similar services out there which are getting it mainly right, some are as smooth as oiled silk, why is ITVX so bad?

Contact Tech support and you get told that it's your TV which is causing the fault! I use good quality smart TV's in various different properties, sets which are hard-wired to routers on fast broadband or on fast fibre. The experience is the same everywhere, DIRE!

TrustPilot has 96% of users rating ITVX as bad, another 1% as poor. Only 1% of users are satisfied with their experience, which is pretty damning!

These ITV bigwigs deserve the boot in this order for allowing this situation to exist and allowing it to continue:

ITVX THE BIG CON !!!!!

I was very tempted to subscribe to this totally awful itvx fiasco, as i have a very reactive dog that hates animals on the adverts and will wake the dead if simply left to his own devices, so i subscribed and guess what i still get the adverts, putting it simply its a con that will have no more of my money 😡

Useless

Cannot give anything less. Itvx stopped working. Spoke to 2 staff bit clueless. Then told to fill in a form for technical staff. Questions not relevant to problem but want you to put something. Told them the Itvx app disappeared. Asked me what version I was using. Ridiculous a waste of time. Didn't reply to me.

ABSOLUTE DISGUSTING. want to watch tv i missed and u throw pathetic disgraceful adverts down our throats at the start of the programme and more through the programme which you cant skip. Terrible UI, terrible quality, no uninterrupted streaming

Comfortably the worst of the streaming apps. Just dreadful streaming quality, clunky UI, horrible in-play controls. I could not bear to watch ads on the one thing I wanted to watch, so subscribed to ITVX Premium. What a joke. The ads are simply replaced with trailers and promotions for ITV content. The content is still interrupted repeatedly. Oh, and it crashes all the time, too.

ITVX Premium Ad Free option - rubbish and a rip off

So…I’m watching my favourite old series and no ads - great. Then one day I get bombarded with ads - not so great. And I realise I have to pay a subscription - so I paid for the convenience (to watch only one series). Today it’s active…and then I’m thinking woohoo this is going to be great until I realise they replaced the ads with trailers of other ITV shows!!! So I’m back to square one. Honestly if this series was on a pro streaming site, fine but this time I let myself fall for the trickery and sleight of hand. Also, I pay 2.99 or something negligible on Amazon for no ads - 5.99 on ITVX??? Yes - they saw me coming a mile away.

Update - watching now - this is really really seriously irritating. By the time I’ve gotten into a storyline, say 5 mins, some ITV trailer interrupts

In summary - rubbish and rip off.

Never seen anything like it. The app is terrible, on the phone and on the tv. It needs a proper upgrade. There’s so many glitches and it takes forever to load. I always get a message saying “there’s an issue with ITVX at our end” it’s been like this for years. Sort it out

Cowboys to the highest degree we have just changed over to virgin you cannot record programes anymore its all streaming the problem is itvx is used even if you can get normal itv a scam i know because you have to have the adds and cannot fast forward programes so we opted to pay £59.99 for years add free package they took our money quickly i might add we sat down to watch emmerdale but a add for domino shit came up the sponsors of emmerdale then all other adds we could not fast forward they should not have been there at all but bottom of screen said you can stop adds for £5.99 a month just to rub it in so we contacted the con merchants who said sorry would sort it next day was not sorted contacted again told so sorry would sort it asked for more information was not sorted so i rang put through to a foreign call center the girl then amazed me by saying they have a glitch so would refund our money i had contacted 2 people from their firm neither mentioned this glitch she then said try to subscribe at later date so i asked does that mean paying another £59.99 not knowing if will work but them having my money in their bank again she said yes i asked to speak to a manager she said none were in i asked for one to phone me still waiting keep away from this pile of shit company

What is your objective here!!? 🤔I love Olivia Coleman. But 'RUN' is a step to far. This advocates violence, and low standards for living. I think the United Kingdom desperately needs a more inspirational message right now. Don't you???
