I've had the pleasure to work with IWH not only once but twice! I am very thankful for the supportive team at IWH who helped me gain employment at the Broadmoor for 2022, and again for Sea Island 2023! In my experience I've found the team easy to reach out to and always very informative and supportive. Special shout out to Jade and Shelby for always being there to answer questions I have promptly and efficiently. Everyone has always felt more like friends rather than strangers. I would definitely recommend IWH to anyone wanting to do an overseas exchange, without a doubt you will have a supportive, friendly, pleasant and efficient team by your side! Shelby and jade work endless to make sure you are accepted into your jobs and programs they are always their to help you with process and even stay in contact with you once you have been placed. I personally have had the best experience with IWH and have the highest respect for them and what they do for everyone in their programmes . You couldn’t ask for a better team!!!

I am living the dream life in Canada which is only possible because of this amazing woman “Vicki”. She is so helpful and supportive and doesn’t give up till you get your desired job role. If I came across her earlier in life I would have done this ages ago but she made my dream come true years later. I highly recommend her to all those people who is passionate about traveling and wanting to living abroad, from filling out an application form till the time you reach your destination, Vicki and her team will be there for you via email, txt, calls, Skype. A big cheers to Dale all the way from Napier who did all my flights and travel insurance, she’s great and very helpful. I will forever be grateful to Vicki and her team for helping me to achieve my long lost dream.

Finding the program for me to explore my veterinary interest was perfected by International Working Holidays. Shelby, specifically, was extremely helpful and inquisitive about my personal goals in order to find the program that best suited what I was looking for. I could not recommend this organization more to any one who is looking to travel, experience something new, and potentially fall in love and pursue a new career (like I did!!).

When i decided i wanted to volunteer in South Africa i rang around other volunteer companies asking for as much information as possible, it wasnt until i rang International working holiday's and spoke with Shelby, that i found where i wanted to volunteer. Shelby is a friendly, talkative person who obviously loves her job. She asked right from the get go what i wanted to do and experience in South Africa and answered all questions i ask with alot of enthusiasm. She was very clear about the process and how long it would take for me to get to Africa and even when i was in Africa and when i returned home she made sure to get in contact with and ask about my experiences and if i enjoyed it.
Overall i really appreciated all the behind the scenes work that shelby and the rest of the team at international worling holidays did for me to be able to achieve my dream by going to South Africa.
I highly recommend if you get the chance speck with a member at International working holiday's and they will be able to help you achieve you dream of heading overseas.

Working with IWH to gain more of an international knowledge about my industry couldn't have gone any smoother than it did. From one on one interviews to see my fit with a resort to actually getting a placement, visa applications, financial assistance and arrival at destination, they were very helpful and communicative in every step of the way. While in America they checked in once in a while to see how everything is and actually made me feel like they cared about me as a person and not just the profit they are getting. Especially having to find flights as soon as possible due to the pandemic, they worked fast and got me home safely. Wouldn't trust any other agencies out there and definitely will be using IWH again once this whole pandemic is over. Special thanks to Shelby and Vicki. They are amazing. And definitely to Dale for sorting my flights amid the chaos of the impending inital lockdown.

I booked two programmes with Shelby at IWH and the whole process was so good. There was help available where ever I needed it, choosing programmes, getting information about getting my visa, booking travel etc. I left on my trip feeling confident I had booked the right programmes. I really loved the experience with the lion cubs - it was amazing and something I feel so fortunate to have done. Volunteering in the family home was an unreal experience and what I learned during that experience, I will carry with me forever. It was challenging but absolutely rewarding - the kids were just so special! The team in South Africa (Awesome Travel) were also amazing. We spent 3 days orientation prior to starting our projects and that was an incredible into to South Africa. I made life long friends during that time and in the projects and would recommend it to anyone wanting something more than just another holiday. Thanks Shelby for helping me book such an unforgettable experience!

Iwh was so helpful throughout the whole experience they made it easy and stress free as it was my first time travelling not to mention alone. It was an experience of a life time and I cannot wait until they can get me back out there To do it all again

IWH is a great company and awesome to deal with. They feel like friends rather then strangers. They care a great deal for every individual. Communication is perfect and making sure you are happy and understand what's going on. They keep you safe and organize transportation from a to b. So many opportunities to pick from to have the experience of your life time, that you will never forget.

IWH was so helpful with organizing my dream trip to Africa, and volunteering with all the animals I had dreamed of seeing in their natural habitats. Shelby and Dale were extremely helpful working in any requests I had to the best of there abilities. I chose to do my first solo travel experience with International Working Holidays and it was one of the best decisions I've ever made. Right from the start I was offered all the additional information I needed to make an informed decision on which volunteer experience would be best suited to me in South Africa. There were so many to choose from, and I genuinely couldn't decide, but we collaboratively managed to decide on the Welgevonden Big 5 project, and I'm so glad I went! The experience was incredible, and I truly made friends for life. At the time, I was a zoology student looking to put my knowledge into practice and see how a game reserve runs, and it cemented my passions for wildlife conservation. The only thing I will say though, is be prepared that not all the experiences listed on the brochures for each project will actually happen when you get there. I saw and did a lot of amazing things, but also didn't get to do some things I was really hoping would be on offer, but it's really just luck of the draw! Overall I had an amazing experience at my project and with IWH! Would definitely recommend checking them out!

I went to South Africa for 4 weeks in 2015 with IWH to the South Africa Dream Horse Adventure Project. I have traveled to over 40 countries since then, but it is still my favourite place I have ever visited. I had always dreamed of going to Africa, and to ride horses on safari, but I had no idea how to make that happen. When I found IWH online, it was literally like my dream came true. Vicki and Shelby made everything so easy. They were always so available and helpful. The fact that they were both massive horse lovers, who had visited the project was such an added bonus, because they could answer all my (many) questions and share their experiences. And they seemed so genuinely excited for me. This was my first ever solo trip overseas, but I felt so safe and well looked after every step of the way. From the team that met us at the airport, to the orientation, and the family that ran the project, everyone was so lovely and helpful. The project far exceeded my expectations, I can’t even describe what an amazing experience it was. I could not fault anything from the moment I enquired, Vicki and Shelby provided incredible service and I could not recommend IWH highly enough.

I had a great experience with IWH. I had been wanting to do a trip to an orphanage in Africa for quite some time, and of all the organisations I could find online, IWH definitely felt the most comfortable. Their website is easy to use, they were quick to respond to my communications, and super friendly and helpful with answering all my questions about travel insurance, transport, vaccinations, etc., and also handling the communications with the organisation in South Africa. I really appreciated being able to work through a NZ company, rather than with an overseas coordinator.

I had an amazing trip, met lots of incredible people, and made many beautiful memories! If you are thinking of doing a working holiday overseas, I would highly recommend booking through IWH :)

I booked my trip to South Africa through IWH. I was browsing Facebook one day and an add popped up and I thought, hey why not. Within 6 weeks I was on the plane, by myself, to South Africa.

It was hands down the best experience I have ever had. In Johannesburg I connected with people from all over the world who I still call close friends. We visited so many cultural landmarks and things I never thought I would get to see. At all times I felt safe and well looked after. The bunk rooms were great and food fabulous. I also opted to add Kruger Park onto my trip which I would highly recommend.

I volunteered at a wildlife sanctuary and it was beyond amazing. Without the support of iwh I never would have even known about it, let some spend 4 weeks of my life having the most amazing experience of my life. I met even more new people who I still Snapchat everyday, I spent time with knowledgeable people learning about African wildlife, and got to have so much hands on experience with the animals and sanctuary.

Before I left iwh had so many phone calls with me making sure all my needs were met and that I knew what I was getting myself in for. It was great because it was also flexible enough that I added on Cape Town to the start of my trip, and Victoria Falls to the end, so I was able to be picked up and dropped off at the appropriate airports. Also when I got lost trying to find my guide at Joburg airport, I rang iwh at what would have been 11 or 12pm NZ time and someone picked up and helped me find my guide.

Amazing experience and I would highly recommend. I’d do it again in a heartbeat

It started off like any other day scrolling through Facebook when I came across an ad for an opportunity to volunteer at a wildlife centre in South Africa, it had always been a dream of mine to go there and work with animals since I was a little girl, I thought this must be a scam, it’s too good too be true! Curiosity got the better of me and I decided to follow up on it making my first point of contact I was greeted by the lovely ladies at IWH who quickly put my mind at rest that they were a legit company and they were there to help me achieve my childhood dream. Through many emails and phone calls they answered every question I had even the ones I thought were silly.
Organising my trip went incredibly fast, IWH were there every step of the way making everything I needed to organise, as smooth as possible even down to my flights, what insurance I would need and my visa, it took a lot of stress out of the organising my trip.
Making the biggest flight of my life I made it to SA where the program I had decided to volunteer at was the most amazing experience of my life travelling around SA to sightsee going on a safari weekend and working in a wildlife conservation centre where I made lifelong friends from the staff that worked there, to other volunteers and all the animals in between. Even meeting someone that was also from New Zealand who I now call my best friend. The only way to describe my experience was magical.
On my last day of being there I had an accident where I had broken my ankle in 3 places and dislocated it getting out of a vehicle being in an unknown place where I needed medical attention was scary, but upon getting hold of IWH they put all my worries to rest, letting me know they would help me with anything they could and just being there for moral support made me feel more at ease. Whilst getting emergency surgery in SA they were busy helping to organise new flights to replace the ones I had missed and helping with sorting out my insurance claims needless to say I got home safely with the best experience I have ever had in my life under my belt. Even months later everyone at IWH was still in contact with me making sure my recovery had gone well, they had become a part of my journey, When I go back, I will be using IWH, what a great company to have your back.

iwh has been amazing to go though. I used them to do camp America and also follow my dream which was to go to south Africa and volunteer with the wildlife. Iwh was very professional and i highly recommend speaking with Shelby if you have any issues. I have recommended many people to go through iwh and they have come back with amazing results aswell! Highly recommended company! Thanks iwh for these amazing opportunities I have been able to experience.

I had an amazing time on my trip to Namibia. The team at international working holidays were great from the start, helping organise my flights and advising me on the different options and what one would suit me best. I got to do so much on my trip that I never thought I would be able to do and it was because of their help and support. Highly recommend them to everyone!

Looking for an adventurous holiday I came across the International Working Holidays website where the opportunity to be a volunteer in Africa caught my eye! Delving deeper into my research and with the help of the lovely ladies from IWH I was soon heading to the Lion Conservation Centre at Ukutula. I felt so supported every step of the way through the highly organized systems put in place and the phone calls to check in before I left. From the moment I landed I was in good hands! There was someone waiting at the airport, transportation, amazing accommodation and yummy meals. I was lucky enough to share my experience with one of the amazing IWH ladies. I have such incredible memories and could not recommend their services enough!

I had an amazing experience with International Working Holidays when I organised my trip to South Africa to work at the Ukutula Conservation Centre. I heard about them through a friend who had previously done a trip through them and thoroughly enjoyed it too. Everything to do with the trip was organised for me. I had a travel agent help with booking the flights that were best for me and that fitted in with the volunteer work - the schedule was all arranged for me for the entire time I was in South Africa. From things like having someone there at the airport to get me, accommodation, and transport too and from places - there was no extra arrangements I had to make separately once I had finalised the trip! The trip itself was better than I ever could have imagined, I would absolutely recommend to everyone to get out of your comfort zone and experience the programmes that International Working Holidays has to offer! I not only had the privilege of meeting and working with amazing people from all over the world who were also on the same volunteer trip, but also had the opportunity to explore Johannesburg the week before I started my volunteering, and make the most of all the city had to offer - from cultural activities to sight seeing - which again was all something International Working Holidays arranged for me. The initial thought of organising a trip to South Africa by myself was quite daunting, but everything was made so effortless through International Working Holidays, the staff always there to help with any queries that did come up. It is a trip I will never forget!
