gym is really clean, including changing and toilet areas. Usually always able to get onto cardio machines. Sometimes there is a wait for the weight machines depending on the time/day that you go

Good range of cardio equipment and different areas to the gym such as functional areas. I don’t like the layout that much. For example the toilets and the sinks are quite a distance from the changing area.
A lot of the weight equipment felt quite grimy compared to other gyms I’ve used and felt older, not as robust, more awkward to use and not as smooth running as other gym equipment.
There’s not enough cleaning stations near the weight equipment. Not a fan that the hours are only 0600-2200.
EE doesn’t get phone reception inside either so I didn’t feel great that I wouldn’t be able to contact someone in the event of an emergency.

JD Gyms customer service is an absolute joke. I cancelled my membership in accordance with the contract, four weeks in advance. In the meantime, I cancelled my Direct Debit, since it didn’t really matter because I had already given the required four weeks’ notice. My account was either suspended or deleted, and I never received any link to reset my password. Despite making a hundred attempts to reset it, I got no access. Emails are answered after ten days, sometimes even longer, and nobody ever answers the phone – it’s practically impossible to get through. As a result, I lost a whole month that I had already paid for in advance. I had no access to the gym for a month, even though it was paid. Once again, customer service is pathetic. Never again JD Gyms
One more thing – customer service replied to me saying that my account is not closed and that I should have access to the gym until September 29th. So I’m asking: how exactly was I supposed to have access to the gym if the password reset link never arrived? Despite a hundred attempts to reset my password, I have not had and still do not have the possibility to log into my account to get access to the gym. What a bloody joke

I've only been there one week buy the equipment and space is fantastic. I need some guidance as I fell 20 feet and crushed my legs. So I'm limited to what I can do. It would be helpful if I was shown what would be best for me and what classes would be helpful.

Gym equipment is decent, and there's always items I can use which is helpful. Accessibility in terms of parking is poor, and when raising this to the gym I've had no response.
I would not recommend using this gym if you are a wheelchair user or require accessible parking as it is misused by members.

The gym is ok but the problem is the changing room is upstairs with sauna its should be downstairs
Thanks

Suna is nice but JD definitely needs work on hygiene, shower is too slow and the bathrooms are smelly

Joined your location Glasgow North and after only two days notice the treadmills are disgusting with old and new sweat marks. Not great for hygiene or health issues. Clearly notice that they haven’t been cleaned at all. Unfortunate as I do love that location.

Good sized gym. Plenty of equipment available, even during busy periods. Good range of classes to select from. Nice changing facilities. All round good gym experience.

No staff to show me around and to show me how to use the instrument.

This gym used to be brilliant, but the maintenance is pretty bad. For instance just one sink in the male changing rooms works, and it has been like that for ages.
Lockers with broken door lock are never fixed, and so on…
Showers and toilets used to be super clean before the pandemic, but not anymore, toilets stink. The cleaners are hardworking people, but either there were more cleaners before the pandemic or the number of clients have increased and the number of cleaners is still the same, as you can see cleaners never stop working so it’s not their fault. Machines with bottle water holders usually have chewing gum in them thanks to uncivilised people.
Some PT’s are very approachable, but some behave like superstars, specially the one wearing sunglasses, always in bad mood as if he was having the worst day of his life
Showers and the sauna are closed 15 min before the gym closes, but a couple of PT’s close them 30 min earlier. A couple of months ago, one of them closed the sauna one hour earlier just because.
Staff in the gym should be encouraged to talk to those clients mixing weight plates or leaving them on the floor, this is an issue that has gotten really bad in the last few months. Often you need to move several 25 kg weight plates to grab the one you need, or you find piles of plates on the floor.
Good points about the gym:
Those working there that are friendly, the atmosphere in the gym is very good, plenty of space to park, and the gym is pretty big, but it is so popular that Mondays Tuesdays and Wednesdays evening is overcrowded. Changing rooms are nice and there are some free classes for everybody
