JD Hempstead Valley is an excellent gym. The equipment is up to date. The Gym and the equipment are kept clean. The staff are professional and friendly. Thanks to Steve and team. Friendly environment.

The variety of classes and the standard of instructors are great. The gym itself offers a wide range of equipment.
The classes could however be spread out a bit more over the Thursday and Friday. With more offered then.

I’ve been using the gym at Hempstead Valley for the last 6 months and I absolutely love it . Everyone there is very pleasant and the manager and all the staff are very helpful .
The gym has a great variety of equipment and I love going to the classes . The gym and all the equipment is very clean and being open 24 hrs is brilliant.

Absolutely love the model of open doors to all classes with no booking and there is good variety. The quality of the classes I go to are exceptionally good (thank you Ron!)
Point of difference for me is also the inclusivity of the gym whether like me (60+ classes and a small amount on the machines in the gym) or a dedicated weight lifter. All types are welcome and get along doing their thing side by side. Friendly and helpful.

Best value for money you will find. Equipment far suparses it's competittors. Staff always friendly and happy to help.

I joined when the gym opened - it’s a very friendly gym, the personal trainers are excellent, the classes are great. Sometimes it’s frustrating when I have to hunt for the weight I’m looking for, but that’s a minor thing. Overall a great gym.

Really great value for gym. Bit packed at times but clean and good spread of classes. Could offer more classes though. Great staff.

Ever since Steven the new manager has come on board things have been moving in the right direction. However I wish the showers and sauna traps were cleaned more often and more thoroughly. I also wish JD would invest in new equipment but unfortunately the people at head office are way too tight and fail to ever invest in new equipment until the place is falling apart. I heard it took 7 years for one gym to get new equipment. Other than that the leaking has stopped on the deadlift platforms, so we can all deadlift and squat without fear of slipping and cracking our head open.

I have to leave a mixed review as my experience depends on the staff on shift, some get 5/5 excellent others get zero, awful! When I found out senior management tell some staff to just ‘have a bit of fun’ it’s no surprise that they do just that, no work is done, they are there for themselves and it shows!

Go in, get it done, shower and out. Everything is clean, showers and changing room ok. Takes them a while to fix things, electronic entrance gate/machine took a few weeks.
