The general manager Ian from Swindon JD…
The general manager Ian from Swindon JD gym is extremely rude and lacks basic customer service skills and common sense. I go to gym to just have my workout done, refresh my mind and leave. Not to get spoken rudely by staff. He was being rude for no meaningful reason. Bear in mind I have never spoken to him before.
He approached me and started talking in an intimidating way about locker where he could have spoken in polite manner. When I matched his energy, all of a sudden I needed to calm down and lower my tone (the hypocrisy). Either he doesn’t realise how he talks to people or someone needs to make him aware of it if he doesn’t know yet. You need to speak with customer in a polite manner if you expect the customers to speak back to you in polite manner.
To be honest, the gym itself is a really nice gym and probably one of the best gym in Swindon, and I loved it. But I am not going to a gym to ruin my mood by unprofessional gym manager’s behaviour. So I have decided to cancel my membership.

Amazing gym so much equipment. Management are great, always on hand if you need any help or support. Always cleaning the equipment so everything is super tidy. Would highly recommended!

The Gym has tons of equipment and space to work out in. It seems to have members in it who are serious about training! There is a great vibe in it. We love it!
The change rooms are acceptable regardless of other reviews.

Bullying, dirty kit, no sanitation, no staff around

Large groups of males hogging equipment
Abuse from other gym goers is tolerated (their mate works there)
Had to report intimidation and bullying to the police
No response from gym re complaint
No cleaners seen
Staff are never around on the gym floor
Would not recommend
Better to pay a little more for a nicer gym where intimidation of females from groups of youths isn't tolerated.

Honestly the best gym in Swindon by far and I’ve been to them all. Jag and the team have done an excellent job in mantaining the gym, it’s been over a year and the gym still looks how it was on opening day, great equipment and great changing room facilities. 5* gym.

The best gym!
Massive gym, so many great machines and high quality equipment so you’re defiantly not short of training methods and ways to target different muscles!
Jag and Ian are two of the members of staff that I speak to regularly. I’ve seen them on their hands and knees scrubbing the gym squeaky clean and they’re always super friendly and helpful.
Highly recommend this gym to anyone that lives in or around Swindon.

So I bloody love the place and it’s pretty much my home. I wouldn’t spend so much time here if it wasn’t good.
Huge space great choice of machines. Caters for all. I was always a class and cardio girl before coming here and I’m now a weights girl. Still do some classes and great choice. There is something for everyone here.
Staff are brilliant always on top of cleaning, tidying and helping members.
I was at David Lloyd before here and yes u miss the pool but everything else is better at JD.
Just a warning set an alarm as the parking is 2.5 hours and not gyms fault at all but parking company are not decent or reasonable!
Join now. And get booked for PT with Jake he is amazing. (The others are good too)

I have been training 20 years now and I have to say this is one of best all round gyms I have ever used, weights are great, machines are great, sauna is great, showers always clean, and staff are amazing, any problems they sort it straight out and always keeping the gym clean and tidy,
