After numerous attempts I was unable to reset my account password. I now have to visit my local gym for them to try and resolve issue.

Good gym, if equipment breaks it gets sorted relatively quickly. Well maintained inside, only downside is the showers which sometimes stink. Can't fault the staff though. Asked a member of staff where the hack squat was, they didn't have one but he spent about 20+ minutes showing me how to do a barbell squat correctly. He didn't have to do that, but massively helped me out. I'm useless with names but think he was called Brian.

Loads of equipment, friendly staff, changing rooms are big. The only downside is the temperature. Wowzers, this place is hot and muggy! Please can we have the air con on?

Re-edited as JD gym complained I’m a bit to harsh with my review and it upset them. So you can have 1 star.
If you want a gym full of gangs of kids sat on their phones in between sets and barely dressed girls doing repetitive bum exercises this is the gym for you. The equipment selection is good but it’s never tidy and there is always kit missing or it’s been moved halfway across the gym so you have to play hide and seek trying to find it. The toilets are ok but always stink of urine, the sinks are usually full of spit, vomit or some other substance and a couple of inches in water…… I hope….. all over the floor. There is never any hand soap, but you will see some child without a top on flexing in the mirror surrounded by his friends admiring his pale skinny body as he pulls a face with his pose to the point he almost passes out. The staff seem pleasant but spend most of their time chatting up young looking girls or on there phones.
The equipment when it breaks is fixed relatively quickly compared to other gyms.
An issue I have with this gym is a few users choose train with no top on or insist on filming there work outs. I’m literally fed up of this instagram society. If you’re a lover of couples working out together and getting over familiar with each then you’re going to love this place. There’s nothing more off putting than watching a young man grind up against his lady friend whilst she deadlifts. A word of advice for the girls in leggings thinking they’re the next social media sensation… your not…..men don’t want to see your sweaty folded mattress whilst you’re posing for the camera. The staff don’t address anything that is brought to there attention, like 6 children all sat round a machine while each of them take turns to annoy the rest of the gym. Girls seem to like standing on the edge of a weights bench whilst they perform there exercise, unbeknown to them it’s loosening the bolts on the bench for the back rest, causing it to wobble and eventually break. This has been highlighted to the staff who simply do nothing to address this issues, but I’m waiting for the day it breaks on a member to highlight this again. The newest trend is to literally stand around a machine and have deep and meaningful conversations while other gym members wait to use that machine. It’s not unusual to see staff off duty using the gym, who out of all the members are the laziest. They just leave weights laying around the floor, un racked weight plates. It’s not unusual to see one particular female on her social media page spending 20 minutes between each set taking photos or videos of there freshly makeup gym face that hasn’t got a bead of sweat on it or there brand new gym leggings ….. the current thing is for teenagers to literally stand right in front of you and carry out there gym exercise knowing full well there’s hardly any room already between you and the mirror. I’m a particular fan of men in really thin vests that make them look like failed 80s wrestlers, but they think they’re cool, so that’s ok…… hope JD gym head office takes note and has a bit of a re shuffle in staff as it’s apparent the current staff are useless.

Will not let me cancel even tho I have sent numerous emails showing proof that I am in the hospital and cannot attend the gym

The gym is very well equipped with modern equipment. At busy times it’s still easy to use everything I need to use.

I've not been to a gym for many years and have to say that I never really enjoyed it before. However, that all have changed with this gym! It feels very clean, well layed out and friendly. Not being a size zero, I was worried about feeling a bit uncomfortable, but nothing could be further from the truth and so feel very much at home!

Could do with the classes being held one after another so could do all 3.
Could do with being able to enter more than once with QR code as I like to workout morning and evening. The trainers are great, the classes are very good and the gym is clean throughout with plenty of equipment and a good verity too.

Great induction. She listened to my aims and showed me the right machines. What an array of equipment!

I really like the gym, and the staff. It's clean and always neat. However, the gym is always moggy, there's low airflow and it's it always feels clammy in there. that's really the only downside but it makes working out extremely uncomfortable. It was this was in summer and insufferable before they said that it was fixed, there's no change in winter/spring
