Gym is good, and there is a ladies section for sisters which is great. The only thing I would say is that the music in the classes is to much much. There should be class options without music for auti... See more

Overall the gym is really good.
The gym area is always clean and staff maintain the tidiness well from lazy people that attend that don’t put weights back. The classes I attend are really good. I particularly enjoy classes held by Pete, Jordaine, Connor Kennedy and Anna.
The cardio gym equipment has recently been refurbished, this looks a lot cleaner and work a lot better now.
How ever the new cable machines haven’t lasted long before they needed repairs. The female toilets and showers require more attention from the female staff. I have once witnessed a female member of staff walk in the bathroom and just sign yet if they had looked they were messy and needed toilet roll replacing. They are often messy and the showers can have the odd smell of egg.

Honestly the gym is actually decent but there's a few issues that lets the gym down in my perspective.
So iv noticed that there's a lot of new comers which is to be expected and also good that people are focusing on improving them selves, but I have noticed that some people don't know how to use equipment properly which makes it dangerous for other users, for example iv send a 20kg bar going flying as a new comer was taking weights off the 1 side (they left the weights on the other side which sent the bar flying) thankfully no1 was hurt. near had weights dropped on my feet a couple times as people thrown dumbbells on floor after doing their sets which the dumbbells have bounced a few times.
Asked if I could use the down stairs toilet a few times as the men's toilet was being used or is need of servicing/cleaning just to be told no but it seems the disabled toilet down stairs seems to be a staff only toilet.
the taps to get drinking water seem to always have a problem, either they don't work or the water comes out slow.
men's showers, so I have mentioned to staff on numerous occasions that the shower heads need replacing as they have shit loads of lime scale on them and the water goes everywhere except where it needs to, just been told by staff to go onto website and raise it that way. obviously id expect more from the staff in that situation.
As I mentioned at the start the gym its self Is actually good just a few issues here and there, also maybe a fountain near the sauna would help as iv seen on numerous occasions people have ran out of water whilst using sauna and there's no where to replenish water.
Parking also seems to be a big issue, I get that people cant get parking spots some times but getting blocked in is even worse when you have do a 8 point turn just to get out your parking spots.

Happy so far with my time in and around the gym, only thing i would say is the the bins in the women’s toilets need changing more often by the external company you used as it’s not been pleasant using them with tampons sticking out.

Wolverhampton in specific, weights just left everywhere and if they aren’t on the floor they’re the 2kg dumbbell is in the 50kg slot. Oversold the memberships too.

Marlene took the time to run me a great session! I asked to be pushed and work up a sweat and I definitely did! Thank you!

Have a personal trainer Marlene from JD gyms for a period of approximately 18 months. Meet on a regular weekly basis. This personal trainer has proven to be beneficial to me, and Marlene has been helpful demonstrating how to use the machines safely. I am at the menopausal stage where this fitness routine benefits me. Marlene is punctual and ensures you get the best out of your workouts. I would definitely recommend this personal trainer.

Had a PT called Marlene, absolute brilliant, very good at her job, hits muscles I didn’t even think I’d had, learned a few more things on leg press machine with leg positioning, made me hit my limit which is a good thing to get the best out of my work out & got me motivated, sweat like mad, would definitely recommend Marlene for PT sessions.

I train daily at this gym, and I have never had a bad session. The staff are welcoming, friendly, helpful and encouraging at all times. The variety of classes available with your membership are excellent. I attend a mixture of morning and evening classes and I always feel I have had a great workout from them. The gym has recently had new equipment, making accessing machines manageable. I have also trained for several months with one of their qualified PTs, who put together a personal training programme for me, to achieve the goals I had. I would highly recommend this gym to anyone.

I’ve been training with Marlene for a while now, and the difference she has made to my fitness, confidence, and overall routine has been incredible. Every session feels purposeful they strike the perfect balance between pushing me to improve and making sure I’m moving safely and correctly.
What really sets them apart is how personal the experience feels. She takes the time to understand my goals, adjust workouts when needed, and explain the “why” behind each exercise so I actually learn rather than just follow along. Her energy is motivating without ever being over the top, and she somehow manages to make even the toughest sessions enjoyable.
I’m stronger, fitter, and more consistent than I’ve ever been, and that’s entirely down to her guidance. If you’re looking for a trainer who genuinely cares, knows their craft, and gets real results, I can’t recommend Marlene enough.
