Went to the gym at 9:00 PM expecting it to be quieter, but it was still extremely crowded. I had to wait for almost every machine and exercise, which made the workout much longer and less enjoyable. T... See more

SETTINGS/CLEANLINESS
Was impressed with the arrangements of equipment and availability of staff to help out. Also the management’s needs to provide hand wipes and sanitiser around so we can use to clean surface areas before using the equipment’s

Way too busy and stinks, poorly maintained kit.
Way too busy, can’t ever find a machine, poorly maintained equipment, everyone there stinks, including the place in general - cardio stuff is good and plentiful though. It was £10 for the week so I wouldn’t expect much but this was just horror.

I love this gym for several reasons
I love this gym for several reasons. The women's only section is a real selling for me. I also love the fact that the classes are all included in the basic membership. The showers are great, and the sauna is an added bonus. I've been three times in one week and always found that I've been able to use the machines I need to. My only criticism is that the screens on 2 of the machines are not working, so I have been unable to test these out.

Staff are very helpful
Staff are very helpful, there are lots of pieces of equipment to use, as well as many weekly classes to take part in if you wanted too.
Even at busy times you can still get round and do your workout. Also has the added bonus of being a 24/7 gym .
The place is always clean too.
Would definitely recommend if you are thinking about joining a gym.

I do not recommend for over 35s
If you’re over 35, I do not recommend. It’s like a young social club. Also the entrance is a nightmare experience if you have never been and don’t know where you are going. Guys just chatting at reception, had to ask for help getting through the gate as the QR code regenerates so quickly and as the reception desk is not close to the gate and it’s obviously loud, that took some time. Not helpful in directing you when you do finally manage to get in. The only saving grace was the class I went to. I would not recommend

Excellent facilities, ladies section needs updates
The Wolverhampton branch is excellent, with high quality machines, changing room facilities and the classes are regular and enjoyable.
The only thing needed to make it 5 stars is an update to the ladies section. Machines such as a cable leg extension and leg press would be useful, and providing tissues and a spray bottle to wipe down the machines would be good as well.

Parking nightmare
Actual gym is great everything you need but parking is absolutely horrendous!! Drove there 3 times only able to go in the gym once !! If you could park on B&M car park that would be fine but apparently you can’t.

£25 is a bit much
i do think that the price of £25 is a bit steep considering some of the machinery at my jd gym is broken and is in need of repair.

It's small and oftentimes over crowded
It's small and oftentimes over crowded. Some machines were very worn, some were inoperable.
Toilets smell like urine. Drinking water source looks like something you'd see in a barn and the temperature of the water is warm.
Showers go off every 10 seconds so you have to keep pressing the button. Sauna was so packed there was no point in waiting.

It's a very dude bro oriented gym
It's a very dude bro oriented gym. Not very new user friendly, and a lot of the resistance machines feel clunky and old.

After experiencing stalking at a previous gym, I inquired about the security measures, including access, cameras, emergency points, and lighting, at JD Wolverhampton. Unfortunately, a staff member was extremely rude, unhelpful, and abrupt. I explained that I train very early and sought reassurance about my safety. However, he abruptly ignored my questions, continued slopping food in his mouth behind the barriers, and spoke in a manner that was difficult to understand. He also refused to step from behind the barriers during that daytime hour or engage in a respectful manner.
