I attended the Vietnamese cookery class. John and Emma were very friendly and welcoming and it was clear John has a great deal of expertise and knowledge. We were sent the recipes in advance and I was expecting to participate in cooking all of them rather than just one of the dishes. I would have felt disappointed if I had been one of the ones to have just made the salad for the price paid. We tried the food at the end of the session, and it was delicious, but there was only just enough. Also I was a bit concerned about the lack of precautions with regard to COVID, particularly as we were making food to share. The guests weren't invited to wash the hands at the start of the session and I felt one sink in the toilet room was insufficient for the needs of the class.

My daughter Issie really enjoyed the vegan Christmas course run by Sarada - she said 'lovely people, great atmosphere, interactive and the recipes were brilliant and will be easy to replicate at home'. We all enjoyed eating the food she brought home. Emma was very warm and friendly too - makes all the difference.

Attended the Edible Gifts with Ursula Ferrigno yesterday and would highly recommend it. Relaxing atmosphere, found Ursula to be a wonderful and enthusiastic teacher. Emma was super friendly and went above and beyond to make sure everyone was comfortable.. So lovely to learn with a few giggles along the way. Will definitely be back.

I had a wonderful first experience at Jericho Kitchen Cookery School in Nuneham Courtney yesterday, making edible Christmas treats with 5 very friendly class-mates, who immediately entered into the spirit of making things together, under the watchful and ever friendly eye of our great teacher Ursula. Ursula's cheerful spirit was infectious, and her stories about where the recipes came from and why they mattered to her, made the whole experience so much more special. I was greeted at the door by ever circumspect and lovely Emma, who had also been in touch via email, and had always been very prompt replying to any questions and enquiries about re-bookings made necessary because of the lockdown. It is obvious that Emma's whole love and hard work has been poured into making Jericho Kitchen a success, and it shows. It was a very heart-warming experience in a nice setting, with spacious rooms, and lots of laughter and goodwill. There were some minor things to be ironed out, e.g. making sure everyone gets to see what is happening inside a pot on a stove (making caramel), or that sufficient (small) bowls were available on the table. But everything was immediately acted on and we felt very much looked after and taken care of. Emma kept the place clean and tidied up while we were busy making more mess, and she provided tea (thank you!). We even got lovely packaging material to wrap up our edible gifts in and some greenery from outside to go with it. I loved every minute of the course and will be back for more (already booked).

I have attended over 15 Cookery courses, at 5 different schools both at home and abroad and some lasting a week long in the last few years so I would say I am an experienced 'student'.
The Jericho was extremely well organised, the duration was perfect for the dishes we cooked and everyone got the chance to learn loads of new skills, as well as make new friends and taste fantastic food they had cooked themselves.
The team kept everything clean and tidy, made sure we had thing like tasting spoons and made sure we were suitably refreshed with water, teas and coffees.
The COVID rules were followed, there was a maximum of 8 students safely spaced and face visors were available for all if required, although we all decided that they were not necessary as we were spaced adequately.
The tutor/chef was excellent, explaining clearly what we were going to do, and as we started a new process made sure everyone understood, and repeated as necessary throughout the morning.
All in all this was an excellent experience and extremely good value for money, I have already booked another and will be looking to get another in before Christmas.
Highly recommended.

A fantastic introduction to the world of Mexican cuisine. The class was well organised and fun, with a knowledgeable and friendly tutor. The fish tacos were amazing! And Emma was great to deal with from start to finish. Will look to do another class in the future. Would recommend.

I thoroughly enjoyed my foraging for beginners workshop yesterday. The workshop leader, Justine, was teeming with knowledge and we spent the entire workshop exploring the beautiful grounds at Nuneham Courtney learning and tasting and in deep discussion about the various plants. I think Justine is going to send us an email with a description of everything we saw. This will be so helpful. I came home and made apple cider vinegar with my freshly harvested apples and in the evening made a tea we had tried on the workshop too. I feel inspired and motivated to start conscious foraging in my local area and to try some more forage crafting. Thank you for a really interesting morning!
