Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 65 reviews, most reviewers were unhappy with their experience overall. Many customers expressed disappointment with the quality of the bread, frequently describing it as hard, stale, or soggy, which negatively impacted the taste of their sandwiches. Reviewers also noted that the portions of meat and other fillings were often too small, making the subs seem empty and overpriced. Issues with staff attention and service were common, with some employees making incorrect orders or showing a lack of care. However, some customers also noted that despite these issues, the food's taste was generally good, and a few appreciated the fresh ingredients and quick service when things ran smoothly. A minority of people were satisfied with specific locations, praising friendly staff and consistent sandwich preparation.

I just don't get it

I just don't get it. Way better sub at the grocery store and not a fair value. They slice the bread to put the toppings on and just set the other piece on a dirty counter. Bread was dry and the worst sub role ever.... All JM's are this way.... 17$ for a drink and and chips and 8 inch---I could have gone to the steak house on Gulf gate- 6 oz steak, Salad, and baked potato and a loaf of bread- 16.49. America needs to speak up- JJS is the same.....

First time buyer

First time buyer. Almost $12 for a roast beef and provolone cheese sub. Hardly any taste at all, fixings were very very few. Biggest waste of money I have ever spent.

By far the worst experience I have ever…

By far the worst experience I have ever had with Jersey Mike's, or any sandwich shop. It was a Tuesday night at 7pm, there were no customers in the store but us. Six people were working, and it took about 3 minutes for someone to acknowledge us. Three minutes might not seem that long, but when you're standing there in silence while employees stand around, it's sucky, and we considered just leaving.

Two guys were making sandwiches, presumably from online orders, and didn't even look up. Finally, I had to get someone attention and ask where we order. A girl laughed and said he'd be right out. Then a guy came out who I assume was the manager, had us repeat our orders a few times, and handed us a handwritten ticket order that I surmised was to hand the cashier, but who knows. The girl and another guy were snickering in the corner.

A few awkward moments later, one of the sandwich makers is staring at me so I shrug and strain my ear toward him to suggest I didn't hear if he said something. From a garbled "mike's way?" I assumed he was asking what I wanted on it, so I said yes. It was a Club Sub and was actually not bad. My friend ordered the Frank's Chicken Cheesesteak. They asked him if he wanted everything, and he said yes, but when we got it home, it was just chicken and cheese. None of the special sauce, lettuce or tomato. $27 for two regular sandwiches and two bags of chips. Such a rip-off.

This store needs to close. The employees are so disengaged with zero sense of urgency. Not only will I never go back, but I will steadfastly spread the word for no one to eat there again. I'm beyond P.O'd that I gave $30 to a restaurant that treats their customers like this.

Visited Jersey Mikes in Cockeysville…

Visited Jersey Mikes in Cockeysville today, usually a friendly and professional experiance, today there was just too much playing with the staff and fooling around, and smacking each other with towels while I’m waiting to be helped …. Never experienced this in any location, far from happy.

First week the Markham location opened…

First week the Markham location opened it was perfect. We go in today, they ripped me off with more than half meat missing. This after I show them my friend’s sub is twice the size! They stand there playing dumb when you mention their famous scal for weighing subs. It’s too bad, we going to Kitchener now they are still same as when opened, also the cookie is half size?

Worst philly sub I've ever had

Worst philly sub I've ever had. All I could taste was salt salt and more salt. Was supposed to be chicken but didn't look like any chicken I've ever had. Sub was a total fail.

I ordered two sandwiches and chips

I ordered two sandwiches and chips. First they sent no chips. Second the order for pastrami requested American cheese and yellow mustard. They don't have yellow mustard.ir American cheese.
I ordered a #5. Supposed to have three types of meat. I swear there was only two. Couldn't eat it anyway as the thing was saturated with olive oil and vinegar

I ordered the new Pastrami Classic

I ordered the new Pastrami Classic. I have no idea what meat they put on the sandwich but it was stringy and tough. Had to floss my teeth to get all the crap out between my teeth. Worst sandwich ever. Should not be on the menu.

I received a text about a special free delivery today 11/3/24. It only applies if ordered on the app...HOWEVER the app does not work and doesn't even give an option for delivery. The app is horrible and never seems to work. I called the store and was told oh well so sad...sorry for my inconvenience. It won't happen again I can guarantee that. No way to do business..

Jersey Mike's Does Not Follow Their Own, Stated Policy Regarding Complaints

Jersey Mike's does not follow through on their own stated words or policies, even when allergen problems are directly brought to corporate's attention. I am copying the complaint I sent to Jersey Mike's using their own complaint form on their own website below: instead of following through on their policy regarding their "Customer Relations Team" addressing my concerns, Jersey Mike's had the local business owner contact me requesting "information" despite me informing Jersey Mike's in a subsequent complaint that I expected Jersey Mike's to follow through on their own, stated policy:

At 4:05 pm yesterday, October 28, 2024, I received a response from "Jersey Mike's Franchise Systems. Inc." regarding my complaint informing me that "Our Customer Relations Team will review and get back to you within 48 business hours." I did not receive a response from the Customer Relations Team but rather I received what appears to be a local call from an employee who works at the McHenry Jersey Mike's location my wife and I visited. I do not appreciate whatsoever being told one thing and then something else entirely happening. Therefore, I am resending my complaint to Jersey Mike's corporate as well as copying the IDFPR and Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul for their review, corrective action and oversight. If a business gives me their word, I expect the business to act on it by doing what was stated in writing. In order to refresh the "Customer Relation Team's" mind, I will copy my original complaint below and I expect to be contacted by corporate, not a local employee who will then have personally identifiable information about me. Shame on Jersey Mike's, especially for a health-related allergy concern. "I would like a refund for the unacceptable food my wife and I were served on October 27, 2024 at the McHenry, Illinois location. Although the staff was friendly, courteous and respectful, the food was absolutely awful and contained ingredients we specifically asked to omit, which can be dangerous especially for those with allergies or other health conditions. I wish I could upload a photograph of the #8 and #14 salads that were ordered and served to us. Despite my wife asking for no mayonnaise and myself asking for all vegetables, my wife was served plenty of mayonnaise and my veggie salad consisted of more than 1/2 provolone cheese with the remainder consisting of wilted iceberg lettuce, a couple tomatoes and some onions. For $21.12, I feel like my wife and I were completely ripped off. Please let me know how Jersey Mike's intends to reimburse us for the awful, incorrect orders and thank you in advance for keeping people safe by not adding ingredients that were specifically asked to be omitted.

I will now contact several state and Federal oversight agencies, the CEO as well as every member of the Board of Directors so that they may learn and understand Jersey Mike's fails to adhere to their own, stated words and policies. Thanks for making me waste even more of my time to address Jersey Mike's customer service failures and hold Jersey Mike's accountable regarding potentially life-threatening allergen concerns.

$17 for a footlong?

$17 for a footlong?? I ended up compromising and getting a wrap - which was about the size of a kiddie meal - there was a time where the $$ matched the order. Sadly the last time I will visit.

Lady Lakes store

Lady Lakes store. It is impossible to get your order correct. I order a bowl with tuna, cheese, and bacon only. But they insist on putting lettuce and tomato’s too. I have addressed this many times with them and even spoke to the district manager, with assurances it would not happen again, I gave them another chance and they failed.
