The product quality is good and the staff are polite and helpful.

ordered an item which was sent out 2nd class small parcel and they charged me £15 for delivery. It weighed 402gms and according to royal cost them £3 to send. Frankly disgusted!!

I’m building a house, and started using this company when I needed some lintels that were difficult to find. Was pleased with the price & delivery, so ordered £1500 worth of flooring. The first surprise was that it was delivered by my local Jewsons. The second was that it was damaged, and the third was that when I complained to JMD I was referred up their chain, and then completely ghosted. Poor service and I won’t be using them again. Had I dealt with Jewsons there would have been no problems.

I enquired with JMD Sales Adviser, Georgia Costello about doors, sizes, availability prior to placing an order, this was quite a few phone calls as some doors were available and others had a long lead time.
Georgia Costello was able to find a style of door that was the right size and lead time not too long by contacting their manufacture.
I placed an order with JMD which I had to change to the building control officer and was no longer able to go with my original order very frustrating. Georgia Costello was great assisting me to try and find alternative doors that met the new requirements. Unfortunately, I did have to cancel the order however the I have to say Georgia Costello was outstanding throughout. Communication was excellent and always got back to me and went out of her way to assist me at every step.

I would definitely recommend and I would go back just for the customer service Georgia Costello provided, Thank you so much I really appreciated all your assistance.

I am doing a DIY decking project. I ordered a bulk bag of mot from Jarvis and Perkins (J&P) in Liverpool where I live £72 including delivery. Turned out 1 bag wasn't enough, so I shopped around on Google and found JMD. 1bulk bag of mot £51. +£9 delivery. JMD are a Brighton based company. But it costs £10 less than my local J@P????? I ordered my 2nd bag on Sunday, it arrived today 2 days earlier than expected 😀. The confusing aspect of this entire experience is. The 2nd bag was delivered by the same J@P truck and driver that delivered the first bag??? Go figure! Perfectly happy with JMD.

Ordered 6 internal doors from this company, waited 1 week and didn't receive any emails for delivery.
Emailed sales@jmdbuildingsupplies who informed there was a 10 working day lead times on the doors.
I then asked to cancel the order and requested a refund, the refund was issued and received the money back into my account 3 weeks later.
All the reviews I had read had me worried I would not receive my refund, with claims the company is a scam etc. But I had no issues getting my money back.

I ordered an paid for a building product, the wrong product was sent that was not suitable and was less than half the price. I emailed as this company will not take calls at all, I've received 1 reply asking for pictures of the incorrect product which I sent the same day 02/08/21. JMD have not replied to that email or the two I have sent since. This company clearly have no intention of rectifying issues.

Deserve Negative star. Don't just bother!!!. Bunch of time wasters. Save your time and money elsewhere. Waited for 2weeks for my order to be delivered yesterday but I did not receive the order nor any update. I rang the office phone was not receiving calls except emails. I sent email via the invoice email and a reply came back stating my order will delivered in 5-10 working days, but is more than 14 days. I sent another email via email ID on their website got a reply that my order will be delivered today. I waited all day nothing was delivered and no update as I am tying this. I decided to check the review from other customers and I have not stopped blaming myself for not have read these reviews. What a shame they are still in business with all these reviews. They have got no shame to be reading all these reviews and still keep doing business and scamming people. Hopefully, I will try and get my refund what a total waste of time and space. Save Your face and dignity and stop this shady business. Everything thing I needed arrived except this ordered when I could have got it from a local stored. All I want is full refund as they got no product but rely on other stores for supply and delivery. Stop this scam.

Had to give 1 star not allowed to continue without. What an absolutely appalling company, paid for delivery only for me to contact them about no delivery they then decide to tell me it’s out of stock, then lied about someone contacting me that morning to inform me of it, stay away from this lying untrustworthy company plenty more honest companies out there.

AWFUL! Save yourself a lot of time and order elsewhere. I ordered weeks ago and have been told on three different days my delivery is out on the truck and coming that day. Weeks and weeks later I'm still none the wiser when it'll be delivered, if they even plan to deliver at all. The company seem to have no contact whatsoever with the company they use for delivery. No one seems to know what's going on. No one calls you back. Even after being told 3 different days delivery was coming no one has made any effort to find out what's going on. I'm amazed they're still in business. I wish I'd looked at the other reviews before wasting my time with them as clearly there are a lot of unhappy customers.
EDIT - since writing this no one called me back. I called today and spoke to a lady who called the delivery company. The delivery company told her that no one from jmd had made contact regarding my order at all. Which means the 4 times I was told it was on the van must have been a lie. I was told today by the lady that the delivery company were letting her know when I could expect the delivery and she would call me back today. No surprises no one called back at all. So I have emailed to ask for a refund. I hope there are no delays with that too.
To reiterate it seems the staff lie and the service is abysmal. I question whether they ever had the goods at all. Do your self a huge favour and shop somewhere else.

Ordered 5 internal doors on the website, after hearing nothing for 2 weeks... I contacted regarding delivery, they said I should have called before I placed the order to check the stock... I’m sorry what? Nooooooo you shouldn’t be selling things online if the stock isn’t there. Finally I got a rough delivery date, only when the delivery date came around no one had been in touch for delivery! Apparently someone should have called me to apologise that they were mistaken about the stock! Took me nearly a week to get a refund in place! I wouldn’t bother with this company it’s not worth the stress! Harrison and Lee are both numpties who don’t bother to call you back. If you can’t do your job properly then don’t bother!

Seems more like a broker service than an actual supplier. Seemingly they have no idea what you'll get until they source it from the nearest supplier to you (mine was Travis prerkins). Ordered 30 lengths of timber at different sizes (was all showing as in stock). They decided to just send me the largest measurement and match the meterage with less boards. Which is of no use to me. I cannot make up boards for a supprting frame out of off cuts. They text me a delivery date, the timber turned up a week later. One of the boards is damaged and some of the rest look like spiralled pasta. Tried contacting them to bring the extra boards or take the wrong ones back. Funnily enough they've gone into complete radio silence now they have my money. What an absolute joke. Avoid.

What a total lack of responsibility! I have had no such email (have checked spam). Lies.

If I'd have wanted 23 lengths of 4.8 then I'd have ordered them, pure and simple. I didn't, I ordered 10 x 4.8, 10 x 2.4 and 10 x 3.6 which contrary to your copied and pasted comment from your website WERE all in stock at the time and WERE identified on the invoice. So even by your rhetoric, why would I specify in the notes section if they were in stock-its deceiving. If I'm paying you money for specified items that are in stock, I shouldn't need to re-specify that anywhere else. If they weren't showing in stock I wouldn't have ordered from you, simple as! Its disingenuous to profess that it's my fault for expecting exactly what I paid for to actually turn up and try to hide behind something you put on your website (which still doesn't hold water, as they're were all showing in stock). I'd have even appreciated a heads up instead of lazily assuming that "it'll do"- that's what isn't fair. Its disrespectful and bad customer service, probably the reason for all these negative reviews. I cannot give you all the wood back as I've had to start the job as I have been telling you, I'm losing out as I've been delayed over a week. I can work with what I have but need the 2 boards to finish the job.

Okay now we're just passively going round in circles here and saying the same thing regardless of reason. I'll happily take the 2 extra boards from you at 3.6m when available, so I can move on with the job. Thank you.

Hi I wanted the 2 3.6mtr boards months ago as I put above. I've had to gonand buy more timber to get the job done, so yes I would like a refund please.

From ordering to delivery took two working days. Fantastic service and delivery , in fact I have to give extra thanks to the delivery driver who delivered 70 lengths of decking to an awkward entrance to my property and left it neatly stacked around the side of the garden, which would not have been an easy job so thanks for going that extra mile.
Would definitely recommend , you cannot fault the quality of the products.

I tried this company out despite the reviews because their prices were so competitive. It was a very smooth process, all materials turned up within a week although in separate deliveries. Very happy.

Avoid, no goods and, as yet, no refund. They don't actually hold any stock or have any idea what stock their suppliers hold. Although they take your money when you order, they don't bother to check whether they can source what you've ordered until the day before you've requested delivery, even if that is three weeks ahead. Then they provide no tracking details, no information about what company should be making the delivery. When the delivery didn't arrive, they did precisely nothing about it for a week, despite me chasing them. Eventually they said they'd tried calling their supplier but couldn't get through on the phone, and refused to give me a refund unless they could get confirmation from their unnamed supplier that they hadn't made the delivery. Then they went completely silent again. This was quite a small order as a trial run for a bigger order I'll need to place in a few weeks but I definitely won't ever be using them again.

The worst company ever. Only if I can give a negative stars. Placed my order at 21 April. It supposed to be delivered 28 April. Still not delivered. Nobody answers phone or responses on my email. Now need to work how I ca get my money back as no contact with the company. Stay away!

My order was placed 2 and a half weeks before my required delivery date. Found out on the expected date of arrival that there was no delivery booked or actioned by the JMD team.
After many emails and calls to and from we agreed that the new delivery date be today (a full week after expected delivery) and I’m still waiting for delivery. This has cost me and my team many missed days.
These guys seem to have great prices but you get a very poor service as a result.
I will not be using these guys again

Ordered on 2nd April for delivery on 19th, booked day off work, received no correspondent from them , no txt no phone call, no email, and got no delivery, cant speak to anyone on the phone,as they dont answer, so having to email, asked them to phone me, but no one has, I dont know what is happening to my order, but it as not been delivered, so mad

Placed an order on the 15th of March 2021 still trying to get it delivered as of the 08th of April, zero customer service from JMD, I have been in contact with them several times and they have promised to resolve the issue but never get back in touch with me. This is a ripoff company dont use them.
