We booked a short consultation what cost us £40. In fact, the call lasted less than 10 minutes and were not even asked about all the details of our situation (and I did double checked before book a consultation if the company is dealing with this kind of cases). I asked to email me the details of our conversation to let us to decide if we want to go ahead but have never received anything.

Absolutely fantastic experience and service! I've moved house a number of times, and can honestly say that I was blown away by the professional, friendly and unbelievably responsive help we received from JMR Solicitors. I've never felt so supported before or had my (usually daft) enquiries dealt with so efficiently and knowledgeably before. I had to pop into the branch a couple of times too and the reception there was excellent. Other firms need to come and watch how it's done, because the service here is second to none! Thank you!

JMR Lawyers are the absolute best....hands down… wonderful in every way. From the moment I walked into Janelle’s office I was at ease with her. Janelle explained everything to me in terms I could easily understand with no hidden bs. Divorce is so stressful in itself but I don’t know any lawyer that will give out their personal mobile number, call you after hours or on their days off to check in with you & update you with what is going on. I was introduced to JMR by a friend and colleague.I needed some rather complex Land Registry and conveyancing work done in a bit of a hurry. Richard Longton at JMR successfully carried out the work and made a difficult and stressful process painless. He’s an absolute pleasure to deal with and is a real worker!!

If it was possible to give no stars I would. Do not use this company - they are incompetent, completely reactive, useless. They were acting for the seller when my daughter bought her house and delayed the process throughout. Comments such as 'it is on the pile' in response to my daughters solicitor trying to move the sale on were typical of their relaxed and unhelpful approach. Perhaps they don't know what they are doing or are they just lazy...who knows. Avoid.

I would highly recommend JMR solicitors, the staff have been extremely helpful with the sale of my wife’s property. The whole process was very smooth and they took all the stress off our heads. Staff are extremely professional and helpful and we would definitely use them again. 10/10 for service and overall experience.

They are a nightmare for conveyancing and caused us endless grief. Never respond, and could be detail many failings.. but just one here is that I found out 6 weeks after completing that they hadn't redeemed the mortgage!! So was told by building society that I was in default of the mortgage as I had two mortgages. Am reporting them to legal ombudsman

I needed to transfer a number of properties between myself and my ex-wife following a divorce.
Sahira handled my case with efficiency and kept me informed of progress including some delays experienced at the Land Registry.

I have recently dealt with this firm for them to complete on a property being bought. They have been efficient, kept me up to date and done the work swiftly and with ease .. I recommend this company very highly!! I understand the the firm have undergone a restructure internally but they seem to be coming through the worst. Thank you very much.

When the job started for my Purchase there is a delay due to resource issues, But Uzma Hussain made it through well and did the Job on time. She is a great resource for JMR and would recommend Uzma for Sale & Purchase. My only advice is to add a mobile-friendly or onlline application so it will save time for getting an update.

JMR handled a sale and purchase for me, to be honest, the sale was painful in parts but that was primarily because they had simply too much work whilst suffering resource issues. However by the sale completion they were getting right back on top of stuff, and when it came to the purchase they were amazing, efficient and all over it. Sahira is fully back in control of everything and they have a new person (Uzma) who flies through work. Purchase completed in 8 weeks, which in current mad climate is beyond admirable. Sahira and co will not win awards for sugary talk, but nobody needs that when it is masking inactivity - much rather have few words and completed actions. Well done Marium, Sahira and Uzma - I think you are amazing women - others would have caved under the pressure of the last few months. I hope things continue to improve for you

My experience is very similar to other recent reviews. I had an offer agreed on my flat at the end of July the only thing they did to date (Mid November) was get a draft contract out, management pack not even requested almost 4 months post offer acceptance. I tried and tried to reach them on the phone but it always went to voicemail and emails were never responded to. I have now disinstructed and asked for the money I paid upfront to be returned, which it has been, but with no explanation or apology. I’m hoping my new solicitor can get things back on track but I fear it’s too late. Please stay away from this solicitor.

Just awful. Wouldn't respond to emails - took 28 days to respond to one query! Tried to overcharge us by £540. Unprofessional and massively stressful to engage with. DO NOT USE!

I have been patient enough and am on the final edge with JMR and finally changed solicitors today . I have never experienced such poor service in my whole life . It’s actually quite shocking a firm like this can run this way and I have been involved in several property transactions .
Seems like it’s not just me by reading the other reviews. It’s quite shocking giving your clients this sort of stress it’s appalling. Why is it so hard for JMR to simply just do their job? - That’s what the customers are paying you for! And why your open for Business?

- they say they will reply to your emails in 72 hours as auto response But 100% they will not respond. They can take weeks to respond and even then that will be incorrect when they do
- Constantly be lied to for 2 months that waiting for searches email proof too ( when in fact no searches were applied for in the first place ) only found out when I chased this up )
- Not checking emails or responding etc. for example queries have already been replied to by other solicitors but JMR apparently are still awaiting for them.
- You can never get though to them even if you make 20 calls . The phone just rings and cuts off.
- Spoke to a manager regarding a complaint but no complaint process given again assured service will improve but straight away back to same level of service. They simply do not care . Why are you open for business then ? If you can’t simply do your job ? Pretty simple right ?
- It takes 5 seconds to simply just reply to an email or acknowledgment or even an update would be suffice. They simply just won’t reply to you. Even the other side is waiting for their replies! Let’s not even get to the voicemails as they will be simply be ignored.
- even if you complain about the service. It’s like they simply do not care. They will just make excuses seems to be in some sort of denial that they are always right! Just look at the other reviews!

Officially sacked this firm. I have asked JMR to forward my file and process my refund which again no reply yet

DO NOT USE THIS SOLICITORS.
They are not answering the phone and not responding to emails. I have not been able to speak to any one for over 2 months.

DO NOT USE JMR solicitors……. Absolute shambles, you should be ashamed of yourselves. I have today had my buyer pull out after months of lies, failure to answer calls or emails and a lack of work undertaken. The excuses this company try and throw at you when you actually do speak to them is beyond comprehension, - it’s always someone else’s fault or ‘I’ve only just started’.

I have asked that they provide me with a copy of my file to include all emails and all work completed to date. I’m an auditor by trade and will get to the bottom of their incompetence. They told me that can’t be done this week but will be sorted next week???? Im not convinced!

I will be taking this to the Legal Ombudsman tomorrow so if anyone wants to follow suit the number is 0300 555 0333. I am also speaking to solicitors who deal in conveyancing mismanagement to find out if we have a case.

Do not go with JMR solicitors. Communications and professionalism are appalling. A simple conveyancing which should have taken a week (I was buying my sisters out of a shared property with cash) was never completed. After continually pushing for three months I got a curt email saying my case was being transferred to another legal team. No apology. They have let me down and waisted hours of my time writing emails and sending documents. I have lost 3 months of time with this transaction and now have to start again.

Shame couldn't give less stars.

Absolutely poor service. Allocated our conveyancing file on August 23rd and 10 weeks later still had no communication from them and they had not done anything on our house purchase.
don't answer phones or emails.
Our house purchase is only going ahead still after a lot of pleading and apologises due to JMR's incompetence and switching to a new solicitor who has done more in 48hrs than JMR did in 10 weeks
