Easy to order, good rate and prompt delivery to pick up point. Top Marks.

It was so easy to order the money and the click and collect was brilliant. It was there when I reached the welcome desk and the staff were very efficient .

I have been using John Lewis euro exchange rate for many years always a few cents more than other companies which all mounts up when your going on holiday

Incredibly easy - bought online and collect near me at a Waitrose counter on my way out after shopping. Just with drivers' licence and took 3 minutes with no queuing!

Staff are always very helpful, patient and informative with a smile. Not always the best rate but definitely the best environment for purchasing different currencies.

It was very easy to order the money. Easy to drive to local Waitrose store to collect.

Easy and quick process
However disappointed that the online click and collect rate of exchange was different and better than the exchange in store. Had I realised I would have done click and collect. As a loyal customer with the App customers should recieve the same good rate. It’s doesn’t make sense that it’s different.

Purchased £300 worth of euros from store with Rewards offer of £5 off for currency over £150. Did not receive discount although offer activated within time limit given.

Having been in store to buy and finding the currency desk closed for the day- i ordered online for a collect at a convenient date/Waitrose location
But not when i arrived-the currency was not available at the store pickup on day/time indicated at purchase.
i was passed to someone on the phone by the Waitrose staff -Asked for it to be posted- was told it would be with me but in 4 days time- so rearranged my schedule to be in on that date.
Later that day received an email from Royal mail to say it would be with me the next day- so once again had to reschedule to be in.
Had some of my Bank holiday plans ruined .

Re the reply below from Gina at JL I've wasted time and energy trying to ring her back to discuss my concerns as she has suggested. But nobody on this number and option has been able to put me through and instead want me to through the whole rigmorole with them. I'm assuming Gina is a bot to give generic replies to reviews. Once again appalling customer care from JL.

I ordered my Euros online at a good rate comparing other sites, I also get my points I think using JLewis CC
I like to pick up in store as I don’t like a lot of €50’s
The assistant was very obliging in changing the notes for me, overall good experience

The partners in store weren’t great at all and they told my sister wrong info. We both had the email about the rate sale and had £5 off in store but when we asked about the preferential rate they said it was only online so they weren’t aware as I saw later that it was both online and in store. I got £150 and the guy who served me as soon as we asked these questions and for small notes didn’t really speak again and the service overall was poor. My sister and I got 1.09 instead of 1.13 in the branch then I ordered the rest online. I know it’s not much money but everyone should know the offers. Won’t get it again from Jl

The exchange rate was good and easy to order. Delivery date was next day as quoted. In all a quick and easy transaction.

Straightforward easy process buying the currency. Rate was competitive with currency being available for collection the next day. Furthermore, I felt secure dealing with John Lewis . All round splendid experience, and not for the first time.
