After 3 1/2 weeks of tring to speak with anyone on the phone ( only automated AI ), and absolutely zero help on email ( same generic corporate cookie cutter response every time ), I am giving up on getting any help with my card not working. Save yourself the the stress and your money, and use a differnet card company. In the end it cost me $100 to have the company say " we are truly sorry for the inconvienece". It's not an inconvenience, it's a total lack of caring, and a total scam. The card does not work, and it will never work, and I am out $100. This may not be alot of money to Joker Visa, but it's alot of money to me. Beyond disappointed.
Second attempt to get help
Wrote my original review ( below ) on Feb 24, and recieved a generic response. It stated that they would send a follow up email requesting additional infomation. It's now 8 days later and I have not seen any emails or follow up to my original concern.

Bad gift card company, Zero customer help!!!
I purchased a $100 Visa ( Joker Gift Card ), and I went online line yesterday and tried to register ( and check balance ) the card so I could use for an online purchase. The web site tells me that it is unable to register the card, and to contact Customer Service. I called the phone number on the back of the card, and the it tells me the card has not been activated. This is an automated system, that is horrible to navigate, poor options, and I have been unable to get a hold of a real person after 4 attempts. The phone help line just keeps kicking me off the system, then I have to call back a try again, and again, and again ( broken record ). Unfortnatley I do not have the reciept for the card, and I am out $100 plus the activation fee the store charged me when I bought the card, and and I am extremely frustrated I can not actually speak with a person. This is the first time I have used the Joker card, and the expierence has been absolutly horrible. Usually I used the VISA "Perfect Gift" cards and they work flawlessly. Will not be using Joker gist cards again.

You can not use the card for any online purchase. The point of using gift cards is so you don't have to use a real credit card online. Wont be buying again.

Absolutely terrible.
It's supposed to work like a credit card (Visa or MC) but doesn't.
Some retail places will offer you face value, but sleezy Joker puts a hold on it at restaurants. So if you have a $50 card, and the meal is $80 - you can't actually use the full $50!!! Slimy Joker puts a 20% HOLD on the card and then blame the establishment for doing so. I was right there. I watched the waitress type in $50 (not $55 or $80) and it got declined.
Then she tried for $10 which went through l, but the JOKER swiped a $0.20 hold!! The waitress tried for another $30, and JOKER invoiced another $0.60 hold!! Now we're just trying to use up the card but there's almost always a hold so you can never really use the full amount and it's embarassing as hell having $10 DECLINED because slimy sleezy Joker keeps putting holds on the cards!! Try to find a different credit card gift card company. These guys are shady and nothing but a scam!!
Secretly skimming money and then blaming the establishment - that's not how a credit card works. It's criminal what they're doing!

I was given this card a while ago as a gift. I have had nothing but problems and error messages anytime I have tried to use it. Atleast the card is living up to its JOKER name! Nothing like feeling ripped off.

Well first off, on registering the card we're already screwed because the, 'registration process' takes a $2.50 fee. So my $100 card is only a $97.50 card. And even if they take the $2.50 fee for the registration it doesn't mean they verifiy the card validity or will honor it.
Was given a $100 card as a gift. Figured there'd be a clause or process to use the card so I went to their website where using their own FAQ I figured out I had to register it. On doing so after all our documents are uploaded, it later tells us they take a $2.50 fee to process our information.
But taking said fee doesn't actually mean they accept and verify the cards validity. By their own FAQ, once registered we can verify the new card (minus $2.50) and use it online. Well I hoped on over to Amazon and tried to use it. Amazon REJECTED the card. So I go back to the site to double check the balance and instead of letting me do that, it red flags me with a techical issue and tells me to try again or call their 1-888 number.
That number goes to an India Call center and those call center agents want more info than what we used to verify the card with. I smell SCAM!!!

I purchased a $25 gift card from Walmart. I've been trying to register it to use it online with no success. I have tried registering from different browsers, different locations (home and work) and different devices -- will not register. Tried calling customer support line 3 differnt times and go thru the phone tree maze to eventually get to nothing.
The card is useless. Don't buy this!

Received $50 gift card. I've been trying to register it to use it online with no success. After I enter the card information, their website tries to validate if I'm a robot. It supposed to load an image to validate or to say some numbers and enter them, but no image is loaded or no numbers are spelled. Tried reloading multiple times, and nothing. Tried in different browsers, nothing.
The card is useless. Don't buy this!

Terrible Experience.
Got a Joker card as a gift on Christmas. Tried to register it (took $2.50 off my balance to do so.. what a joke in itself!). Once registered, I could not use the card. It declined EVERYWHERE even though there was a balance of $97.50. Called in to customer service, was told they would send me a new card. It's been almost 6 weeks, and no card. Save yourself the hassle and do not buy these and for the love of god, do not buy them for your friends unless you want them to hate you for all the trouble to even use this crap.

Avoid visa joker cards. We were scammed after activating the card.
UPDATE : January 27, 2025
You have sent me an email requesting my full name, reference number and phone number. I don’t feel comfortable sharing my personal information with you. The Joker card was a gift, I have images of the day it was activated and the fraudulent transactions on the card that happened immediately after the card was activated. If you need those, I will send them to you but I do not feel comfortable sharing my personal information with you. I also do not know what you mean by reference number. Thanks.

If I could give zero or negative I would as I write this I am sitting on hold waiting to be transferred from the first guy George to someone else to dispute a transaction and as I sit here on hold waiting with he music playing I can hear George hitting buttons and breathing so is the 1-833 number on the back of the card just a scam also ?? Is anything real about these p.o.s joker cards

The card was compromised. I filed a complaint but found out I am not an odd case. It looked like it happens to a lot of Joker Visa Card recipients. To file a complaint, I needed to give them information that I do not feel comfortable of providing but did provide them with pictures of government ID, etc. Jokercard.ca replied asking for more information. Since I already provided them with the information, I referred them to the reference# I got when I initially filed the complaint. It will be nice if in the reply they provide me with an email address that I can get in touch with them. In my case, I registered the card and used it to pay for my purchase. The amount is CAD$11.89. I did the purchase right after registration. When I tried to do another purchase the next day, it says the amount remaining is $0 (mine is a CAD$500 Visa Jokercard). When I logged onto the jokercard.ca card, I saw unauthorized purchase transactions on record. (US and CAD purchase + service fee for US purchase that were not done by me). I called Jokercard and they asked me to send more information to them (activation slip, credit card, government ID, purchase transaction records). I complied but now I am upset at myself for providing personal information (address, driver license) to them. I filed a police report but the reply from the police is they cannot open up an investigation because no money changed hands.
I received 3 or 4 joker visa cards in the past years and this is the first time I had issues with it. The amount is not as high as this one though.
I received an email from jokercard.ca indicating they are working on my case. Hopefully this will get resolved soon. Jokercard.ca is at least very responsive.
2025/01/22 update:
I received a reply about my joker visa card issues. I am more confused than ever now. It looks like Jokercard.ca is using multiple companies to handle the issues. I received emails from email address (I **** out the contact information)
****@service-now.com
****@bhnetwork.com
****@blackhawk-net.com
All these email addresses are not from jokercard.ca.
Are these legitimate jokercard.ca responses or it is another phishing scheme?
I am confused and concerned,
2025/02/19 Got a notification that they are still working on the case. They sent me a email last week asking me to confirm one of the transactions was not mine and I did. There are 3 transactions that were not mine and used up the card. Looked like they have answer from one of the merchant now.

I got 4 cards for christmas and not only were they unavailable to get registered online, nor did it take me hours to find a option that allows me to speak to a real person, nor that I talk to one and they had to register it from their side. But after all of that, It STILL did not work when trying to purchase anything online or check the balance. Do NOT buy if you want to buy anyone a gift, it's too much of a headache to go through just to buy anything

Avoid Visa Joker Gift Cards - Total Scam
We received a Visa Joker gift card as a Christmas present, but our experience with it has been awful. First, we found it strange that we had to register the card. When we tried registering, it kept giving us errors. Despite that, we attempted to use the card, but it was declined everywhere we went.
Today, we checked the balance, only to find an unauthorized transaction made through PayPal that we do not recognize. This card is a total scam. Do not buy it!

I received 2 cards for Christmas at work ($25 and $50) and when I tried to register the cards it wouldn't work. I get an error message that they are unable to register the cards. Do not buy!
Additional details:
When I go to register card and enter credit card number, expiry date an CCV and then click register I receive an error that the card cannot be registered, please try later or contact the number on the back of the card. I receive the same error for both cards.

Not only do you have to pay interest on every single purchase, but they even charge you just to activate the card! It's ridiculous and predatory—stay far away unless you enjoy being drained of your money at every step.

I ordered something online and it was fine. but when I went to check the balance on the card it said 2 dollars and 15 cents. The thing I bought online was only 30 dollars and the card should have 50 dollars. something weird was that there was a 1 dollar charge for something else. I can't get to a real person to talk to, and the phone bot isn't any help. Their website also doesn't work for me for whatever reason. Like I can't check my balance or do anything there.

I bought a card worth €50, I did all the registration but when I entered the serial number to activate my card it didn't work. I contacted them, they responded once and didn't say anything else.

Got two 500 dollar cards as a gift, first one I used most of but about 45 cents just vanished. The second Card however I used at alot of places and it now has a 4 dollar balance however when checking what I had used I should have 32 left on it. I Called and after 30 minutes got through to a person. That person claimed that a restaurant had run through a 20% tip on the card after i used it but it wasn't showing. I live in Canada where that's not how credit card transactions work I paid by interact it's impossible for them to run extra. He put me on hold again for a while and gave me some more nonsense. It seems like when you make alot of small transactions they chip some off or something then lie about it.
After two weeks of dealing with them there has been no change. They did not resolve my issue nor did they give any satisfactory explanation. They did send a file with my "transactions" that does not match what I actually spent. They are apparently part of a larger company called Blackhawk network I would suggest staying away from any of their products and if you are gifted one spend the entirety of the card in one transaction.
