AVOID!!!

AVOID!!!! I had gotten a relatively cheap quote from them which is why I chose them. I read other reviews that said they were late or had miscommunication problems, but I didn’t realise just how bad they’d actually be.

TL;DR: On collection, 3 hrs late, and on delivery, 3 days early. Both with no notice. No communication whatsoever (except when calling for payment, of course) and abusive (shouting, threatening, hanging up on me) over the phone. Also, my desk got chewed up by termites while with them and they are not responding.

On collection day, they were 3 hrs late (with no notice). After collection, I messaged the company on three different days for confirmation of when delivery would finally be (as I’d need to book friends to help me unload), and they would always leave my messages on read.

I ended up calling and they said they'd had a problem, so in the end, delivery would be on Wednesday. On Sunday at 9.30 PM (3 days before Weds!) I was out of town and Adam, from the company, called me saying his driver was outside my flat, ready to unload the truck. Initially he was apologetic, saying that the driver hadn't told him that he would be doing the delivery that day. I told Adam I'd call him back and see if I could get my friends to help me unload earlier than our originally arranged date, and when I told him my friends could do Tuesday morning earliest, he got very angry, shouted at me over the phone, and wouldn't let me speak.

Eventually, I helped him realise that the problem was due to his company’s miscommunication and not something I did, and he offered to hire an extra person to help and to deliver on Monday morning. On Monday, the driver showed up but the extra person hired to help didn't. I had to ask a stranger to help me.

I called Adam to calmly discuss a potential reduction in payment because of this, and he was extremely unprofessional - he immediately started yelling at me and wouldn't let me talk, then he told me he wouldn’t give me my things, hung up on me, and wouldn’t pick up my calls.

When we were finally able to speak again, he agreed to a 100 GBP reduction, but it was a horrible experience. I’m not a conflictive person and I’ve never been spoken to like this, it was awful and completely unnecessary, I hadn’t been rude and his company was the one who continuously made mistakes.

Also, cherry on top, one of the key reasons why I wanted a moving van was to transport an antique desk that I own. On delivery, I saw that it had little holes on one of its legs, leading me to think it could be termites. I know the holes were fresh because wood dust was coming out of it. I have pictures of the desk with the holes (and surrounding wood dust) in the moving van, so I can prove it happened there. I sent them a message about this about a week ago and despite saying they have an antiques insurance policy, they still have not replied.

I an really sorry for the delay at the collection point, however as we did explain there was exceptionally bad traffic and n the day and we did keep you updated regarding the collection, which was not an issue for you at the time. I do understand delays are frustrating and we did try to do everything possible to avoid delays.

At the time of collection you ended up giving us more stuff than originally agreed to which we were more than happy to accommodate, and we were able to provide you a discounted quote for transporting double of the allowed limit to ensure you can move out on the day.

For delivery, as we spoke on the phone we confirmed we would give you notice as soon as the goods departed the UK to avoid any inaccurate timings as there have been delays at customs recently which are out of any transport company’s control.

On the day of delivery, our driver did arrive early and we called you to inform that we have now safely arrived in Spain. We then asked you when is the earliest possible drop off time to which you confirmed either Tuesday if the driver needs help, or Monday if we can do it ourselves. I have arranged a helper for Monday to which one cancelled, but another one was on his way however at that time you have arranged someone to help. We were more than happy to compensate you for the time and assistance with unloading.

We always aim to remain professional with the way we communicate with customers, and ensure that we stick to our terms and our customers stick to the agreed terms also. As we had some issues with the collection and delivery we have compensated for it and aimed to ensure your satisfaction. I do understand having to pay extra for additional weight, which was exceeded heavily, can be frustrating however we always provide options to our customers so that all parties are satisfied.

Our terms and conditions do state we require full payment for the transport prior to delivery as unfortunately we’ve had bed experiences in the past. We always are happy to discuss any compensation afterwards in case of any disagreements. Unfortunately you refused to pay for the transport hence we had to discuss over the phone until we made an agreement, which I’m glad we came to one. We try to remain professional and friendly throughout the process as we like to keep our customer satisfied l, we are sorry this was not the case here.

We have no termites and we go through inspections to ensure there is no vermin on site. There were a lot of wooden pieces and nothing else was affected so we are not confident the damage occurred on the van. We are happy to discuss with you please drop us a message. Thank you!

Once again we are sorry you are not satisfied with the service we will aim to improve and thank you again for the feedback.

Move London to Berlin: Would book again any day

Nikodem and their drivers Thomas and Michael have been fantastic partners helping us to move a small flat from London to Berlin. They have been very flexible, easy to work with via a convenient whatsapp chat and great pricing compared to other providers. They also helped us to work around unexpected problems and we had all of our belongings safe and sounds just a few days later.

Excellent service. Timely. Best price.

Nikodem was excellent from the time he accepted the job. I was very happy with the communications and he was always helpful. Prompt pick up and excellent delivery time. The price was the best I got from several different providers. Without doubt, Nikodem and his team made my move from UK to continental Europe as smooth as possible. Very happy to recommend Jovada to friends and family. 10/10

One of the best services out there

One of the best services I have ever used full stop. Great communication and a very responsible and helpful team, which made the process extremely smooth. Everything was processed quickly and efficiently from pick up to drop off. This is on top of very competitive pricing. Highly recommended!

Great, flexible service!

We were pleased with the service received from Nikodem and his team. With a large move to Spain, we anticipated last-minute problems, but the team responded efficiently, making the move less stressful. We realised we were over the weight limit and another van was very quickly organised. Our items were delivered in perfect condition within 3 days, and the team was accommodating all the way. The only thing we would have liked is the disassembly service, which I understand is not part of the package. Having said this the team helped us as much as was possible. All in all top service- highly recommended!

Too many books - Hungary to UK

We picked Jovada because they came in with a good price and a friendly can-do attitude. When we realised we were over the weight limit because we had more books than furniture they were flexible and constructive and what could have been a hugely stressful problem was solved quickly and easily, though we did have to pay more. The trucks were all on time and delivered quickly. For loading we got a couple of guys to help with the larger furniture which wouldn’t fit into the lift as we were on the 4th floor. In the UK they came in the evening which was helpful as the parking was a lot easier and they could unload quickly. Polish was the common language - which worked well for us as we have Polish family. Would use again and would recommend.

Smooth sailing

Our situation felt complicated - emptying a flat to two different locations, one of them abroad. Nikodem and his team were communicative, helpful, and professional. These guys made light work of that daunting prospect. In the end it happened exactly as and when planned, with our belongings arriving in the same state they left.

They had a very competitive quote from…

They had a very competitive quote from Uk to Europe and delivered on everything swiftly as promised! They were also very flexible with the documents for the customs, and made sure everything went smoothly, which wasn’t super easy as I had two delivery addresses in a foreign country.
The only small point was that some of the drivers didn’t speak English, which made the communication a bit tricky at times when parking/delivery. Overall I would recommend

I would avoid this company, for stressfree move

I would avoid this company if you would like a stressfree move. They keep changing the times, turn up unannounced even when a time is agreed. Break items and items are lost. The worst part is when something goes wrong on their part, they don't take responsibility, instead they become very aggreesive and rude until you just give up and decide not to claim or argue back. Very hard to contact after payment, it is a little cheaper than other companies but we realised it's not worth the cost saving. It took me a few month to write this review because I was very upset with how I was treated.

Avoid this company it was a nightmare experience!

First and foremost, you should never and I mean never pick this firm to organize your move from one country to another. Moving on its own is a stressful experience, but they have literally made it hell for us. Poor communication and interpersonal skills. On the day of collection two guys with no English language skills appeared at the door step and announced they needed to weigh everything before loading and they did that on a balance which they switched off after every use. It took them about 5 hrs to do so. In between they were chatting, smoking and wasting time. Half of our stuff arrived on the day after in Germany and the other half three days later which we needed to coordinate in addition and which was not clear up until few hours before delivery. The driver who delivered the first batch was rude towards us upon arrival, extremely unpolite towards our landlord and made a big scene shouting and cursing on the day of delivery. He wanted to unload as fast as possible because he needed to go back to Poland. He was disrespectful towards us in every possible way and left half of the stuff at the doorstep without bringing them one floor up as agreed and paid for. The driver who delivered the second batch was okay and professional. This was everything but a hassle-free move and I would not recommend this firm to anyone. Some of our furniture pieces got scratches here and there but we did not address the issue at all, as in the end of the day we were happy and most of all just relieved that we had finally received our stuff.

Hello and thank you for your review. We are disappointed to hear that you are not happy with the service, however I would like to reply to your feedback:

1. The day of collection was agreed in the morning for 29th June. We have turned up at the agreed time with two drivers to load the goods. As mentioned to you via telephone conversations, we agreed to weigh the goods as that is our standard process to ensure that the goods are within the agreed weight limit. Our drivers ensure that the goods are weighed correctly and safely, to prevent any issues along the journey as it is not road legal for us to be over the weight.

The loading did take 5 hours as the goods were to be collected from the 4th floor (not 2nd as originally agreed), and there was over 1000kg of goods to be picked up. The weather on the day was also not ideal for this type of job as it was extremely hot, and drivers took a break every once in a while to regain some energy and finish the loading as efficiently as possible. They are of course allowed to have breaks as the job can be tiring, especially in hot weather.

2. The agreed delivery date was for next day for a dedicated 1000KG van - you did go over the weight limit in which we tried to agree a rate which you were happy with in the end, and took the excess weight. We told you immediately that some of the goods will have to arrive at a later date as we cannot exceed the van weight limit. We agreed to deliver 3 days later which is a reasonable time.

3. I am really sorry about the driver on the day of delivery, he was not rude however he was indeed in a rush to go home as his mother passed away and wanted to get in time for the funeral. We are sorry that he may have looked visibly upset, however our drivers are understanding and would never be rude to anyone. We did agree delivery from 12:00, and our driver arrived at 11:00 and was happy to wait for the hour. You were delayed arriving at Germany and did not provide us with any updates, which is why the driver was in a rush to ensure everything is delivered. This is not something that happens at our company, and once again sorry but it was special circumstances for the driver.

4. I am disappointed to hear that it was not a hassle-free move in the end, as we strive to ensure you receive the best service for an extremely reasonable price. We turned up on time, loaded everything ensuring that goods are within the limit and offered an option as they exceeded the weight, which of course was agreed on the day.

I am glad that all the goods arrived in the end, and thank you for your time.

Stress free shipping.

Adam and Nikolai were extremely helpful with an awkward international shipment. I struggled to get anyone to deliver an RC Tank to the Netherlands 🇳🇱 from GB 🇬🇧 . They made it easy. It was heavy, hard to manoeuvre but yet they managed to deliver within 36hrs of pick up.

Driver was super nice and very helpful. Couldn’t ask for more. Will definitely use again.

Fantastic experience

Everything, from beginning to end was a really nice experience. Starting with Nikodem, super helpful, and organized. Adam, was a pleasure to meet and reassure us that our things would be in France ( South of France ) on the time scheduled. And they were!! My husband and I highly recommend Jovada and we will be using them again in the future. Also, I need to mention the delivery guy, on time and very efficient.

Great service relocating from UK to Poland...

Moving house is stressful at the best of times, relocating to another country compounds this even more ! So it was comforting to know Jovada Express were taking care of the physical logistics whilst I, with only 3.5 weeks notice, packed up my home, completed the necessary Customs Forms, weighed all my boxes and wrapped certain furniture and awaited the big day.

From my initial email enquiry, Nikodem and Adam were courteous, informative, listened to my many questions, showed flexibility (I needed to change the collection day with only 2 day's notice), and kept me informed via a Whatsapp Group chat specific to my transport.

Collection day was seamless and super efficient - the driver, Tomasz was very friendly and arrived ahead of time - together we had a good system to bring the belongings down 2 flights of stairs, through a courtyard and load the van.

Was always advised by Jovada / and at my request, that delivery could take a week (allowing me time to clear out of my home and get myself to Poland) - and to the day, it arrived smack on the time advised.

More flexibility was shown by the driver, Paweł, when 80% of the belongings were unloaded at a storage room and then remaining belongings driven around the corner to my actual property. Everything arrived in good, unbroken condition (all 500kgs).

Thank you Nikodem, Adam and your super friendly team of drivers for keeping me calm and delivering the service - massively appreciated and highly recommended !

I am very happy with the service Jovada…

I am very happy with the service Jovada Express provided for my move from London to Milan. From start to finish they have been a pleasure to work with. I was not sure about the volume and weight of my items, but the team helped me to chose the right capacity for the move, and even when I had more items on the day they were able to upgrade the limit on the day to let me take all of the stuff.
