Poor experience, avoid this company!

Terrible experience with this company moving to France. They didn't stick to the agreed timeline, showed up few hours in advance. They've lost one of our frame, broke one leg of our slideboard and told us they will put a plastic cover on our mattress for transport but didn't do anything. Our mattress arrived dirty. The customer service was rude, untrustworthy and unresponsive. Avoid this company at all cost.

If there had been any disagreement, we would have arranged an alternative schedule to ensure your availability. As there was no issue on your end at the time, we proceeded as planned.

We also regret any negative interactions you had with our customer service. We are committed to improving our service and will address these concerns internally to prevent such occurrences in the future.

I don't often write reviews

I don't often write reviews, but the team of Jovada deserve one. They provided me with an exceptionally positive international moving experience from the UK to Germany at an unbeatable price (so good that a competitor I'd reached out to told me that it must be a scam - it wasn't).

Nikodem set up a WhatsApp group which streamlined communication and made it easy to arrange details around customs which were all handled to my satisfaction.

Nikodem and his team moved my belongings from the UK to Germany. When I hadn't weighed all boxes on the day of the move, they helped out and even increased the amount I was able to bring to the next higher bracket. All items arrived in perfect condition on the agreed day and the driver helped me unload the van, making the process easy and smooth.

I'd recommend Jovada without hesitation to anyone looking to move internationally. I genuinely couldn't have hoped of a better experience.

poor communication....

We found Jovada Express via Shipley and we were initially impressed by the detailed response and the professional approach from the Jovada team. We agreed collection and delivery dates to match our travel and work plans and got off to a good start when the driver arrived as scheduled for the UK collection. I assisted with the loading as agreed and all went very smoothly.
We then moved to Spain as planned however there were delays to our belongings arriving and the comms from Jovada Express via email or whatsapp have been less than satisfactory. Having read other reviews I have no idea why they have failed to communicate clearly with us over delays and proposed schedules and this has proved quite difficult for us in planning work and travel plans around delivery dates that could not be confirmed. We were told that the delivery would be made, we planned to be at home and then as time went by and no updates were sent we became increasingly concerned. Despite trying to contact Jovada Express we only learnt of the further delay on the expected date of delivery when nothing arrived! We gave other options for the delivery and were assured 1000% that a delivery would be made... we waited for communication.... "the driver is departing tomorrow, delivery on Thursday please, Will let you know as soon as he is across the border in France" was the message we recieved.... 4 days later the next update despite us asking for confirmation for three days was a voicemail at 09:15am saying that the driver would arrive between 11 and 12. Promptly followed by a request for payment to be made before the delivery! Eventually our goods arrived (7 weeks late) and again the driver was perfect, very professional and helpful. We made the payment and notified the Jovada Express team via whatsapp including a photo of the transfer confirmation. No response at all, no thanks for the payment, just nothing.
In short, excellent service from the drivers and all of our belongings arrived safely. Jovada Express did store our items during the delay period (as anyone would expect them to) and they did bring an extra item for me that was proving difficult to purchase in Spain BUT the communication from Nikodem / the team was awful. If we had not been working from home it would have been impossible to plan receipt of our goods so it was fortunate that our circumstances prevented this from becoming too stressful for us. If you decide to use Jovada Express make sure they are going to communicate clearly with you from the outset. A few seconds on whatsapp from Nikodem or Adam and this would have been a 5 star review despite the delays as we completely understand that things happen but you just need to talk to people!

All round good experience

Overall I had a great experience with Jovada. The price was fair, the driver was great, everything arrived safely and there weren't any customs issues. Both the collection and delivery were slightly early too which was very welcomed. Thank you

Perfect move from the UK to France

My move was from the UK to France. The communication with Jovada Express was perfect from start to finish. We kept in touch via Whatsapp before and during the move. They sent me all the paperwork that was needed for customs to fill in which made the whole process a lot easier than if I had to do everything myself. Everything was very well organised and on the day of the move, the driver arrived promptly. He was very nice, polite and courteous, the ideal removal man. All the items were delivered on time without any problems. I would use the company again. Very competitive price too.

Very professional at a great price

Absolutely no problems at all at a very reasonable price.
We used Jovada Express to transport our furniture from the UK to Italy in March 2024. They sent us all the necessary forms to complete and set us up in a WhatsApp group with themselves and the driver. The furniture was collected without any issues at the agreed time/date and we were kept in contact with the driver via WhatsApp all the way across Europe as we were already in Italy at the time.
Our driver Adam was fantastic and he had no concerns getting the large curtain sided Luton van up the last 5km to our village, a narrow winding road, uphill with many blind sharp corners.
I have read comments across sites when transporting goods across Europe about getting charged extra for going over agreed payloads - this is not the fault of the courier company. We ensured we were well prepared, we had agreed a 1000kg limit and weighed/listed every item individually. As long as you prepare well there should be no problems.
The furniture arrived well packed with no problems at all - I would not hesitate it recommending Jovada Express to anyone, a very professional service at a very competitive price.

Stressful

I organised the move of my goods about 4-5 weeks before so that I could plan properly and have the goods ready. On the day of collection, I was told there was no room on the van for my goods. It was another 5 days until they were taken.
At the other end in France I had paid for a 2nd floor delivery and we were there to help. The van driver dumped the goods a tall fridge and a dish washer, at the bottom of the stairs and said he didn't have time to do more. He was very stressed and in a rush. I refused to sign the document until he did as he was contracted to do and bring the goods up one flight of stairs. So he then complied. It took 5 minutes. We helped, but could not have done it alone. That was stressful and not good. One good thing - the goods arrived in perfect condition.

Made the whole process totally stress free. Nikodem made the paperwork easy and the collection and delivery drivers were so polite, friendly and helpful - a fantastic team. Our goods were collected from NE England on Saturday afternoon and delivered to Costa Blanca, Spain on the Tuesday afternoon.

A seamless move !

A seamless move !

Thanks to Jovada for making my move so simple and at a competitive pricing. I just had to send them the documents and they took care of customs. My things were picked up in the UK on Friday morning and delivered Monday in France. They arrived a little late both time so please allow at least one extra hour in your moving schedule to avoid stress ! I also helped the driver to load and unload both ways, as was planned as I didn't pay for an extra pair of hands.

Overall I would completely recommend.

Move from France to the UK

Excellent service , prompt collection and delivery of items for a move from France to the UK.
Driver was very helpful and assisted with moving larger items onto the van.
Everything was clearly explained by Nikodem with a the removal process and answered any questions that arose.
If you are moving from Europe back to the UK I highly recommend this service , price was reasonable as well compared to others out there

Moving from Luxembourg to the UK

Moving from Luxembourg to the UK, North Wales.
It took some time before I had news about the way of proceedings but a regular contact by mail or by phone helped clarifying all little details as the time of the collection was approaching.
Collection brought forward by a few days via common agreement.
Delivery at the date and time announced.
Reliable service.
Competitive service (one of the cheapest quotes received).
Nice divers, all of polish origin. Not ideal for easy communication, but with signs and gestures we managed to understand each other.
To be recommended.
