Endless CHASE for my rightful money.
My experience with Chase Bank is very bad. On 06/12/2021, I had received an email from Chase Bank having a promotional offer of $ 400.00 for opening a Business Complete Checking account up to 01/06/22 and Chase bank had sent me a brochure having code #: GP272477CLH2YKE, which narrates that $ 400 will be transferred to our account after 3 months with qualifying activities. Consequent upon this offer, we opened on 05/27/2021 a business account at Sherman TX branch in the name of CVS Hospitality LLC, having Account # ending with last 4 digit 0650. Mr. Michael Valbuena was the Relationship Banker, who opened this account, and we gave him this code.
We fulfilled all requisite conditions and waited for more than 4 months of opening the account but till date, did not get our promotional money. We telephonically contacted the bank, and they informed that branch banker has not registered our promotion code in the system. Since it was an internal matter of the bank and their employee, we sent a formal complaint on the Bank’s “communication system of secure message” and Alma, replied on 05/10/2022 that our account is not registered under any promotional offer and asked us to contact the branch. We again requested them to verify it from Mr. Michael Valbuena, their banker at Sherman branch. But on 05/13/2022 Jonathan, again replied that our account is not registered in any award and insisted us to meet the banker at branch
As insisted by Jonathan, we had scheduled a meeting with Michael at Sherman branch on 05/16/2022 at 12.00 PM through online, but at 11.30 AM on 05/16 we received a phone from Michael asking about the reason for the meeting, and when explained, he asked us to send the code and assured us that he will apply, and we need not to go there. We sent him the promotion code through our email dt 05/16/2022, and again reminded him on 05/26/2022 but he has not applied the code, as yet, despite our pursuance and his own reassurance through his email dt 05/26/2022, to do so. We again approached the bank and informed the situation through our note dt 05/30/22, to which Kristina replied: “Chhater, we apologize about the coupon code that hasn't been applied on your account yet. We sent your information about the cash bonus that was not applied on your account to Michael, so they can help you and give an update about the cash bonus offer. You will be contacted within two to three business days. Thank you for your feedback. We will share it with the appropriate team”.
We again reminded them on 05/31/2022 & 06/07/2022,” and finally, on 06/08/2022, Alex, informed that “unfortunately we are unable to check the status of your complaint about cash bonus that was not added through this platform and again asked me to contact the branch where the account is opened to determine the resolution for this matter”.
From the above, it could be seen that we have been made shuttle cock between Chase Bank and Michael. No one is listening to us and applying the promotion code and we are feeling deceived. It appears that the Bank don’t want to give us our right full money despite our tremendous CHASE.

The amount of time I've spent on the phone...
The amount of time I've spent on the phone to use a simple flight credit I had from a refund.... first call, 1 hour, second call, 30 minutes, third call, more 30 minutes, and now fourth call 40 minutes and going... And they still can't figure out how to book my trip. No consideration for me waiting. No one offers to call me back (they offer automatic callbacks that don't help. The rep that calls is not even briefed about the issue, it's the same as calling and starting all over again). It's infuriating. Stay away from Chase, and Chase Business Ink Credit Cards, they are the worst!
No one knows what is going on
We received a notice in mail, Chase removed withdrew money $3500.00 form my account from a deposited check, with no explanation as to why. Call the customer service number provided to find out. 5/17/22 Four call to Chase, person picks up, asks for info, tells me they can't help me and needs to transfer me to someone else. Once I get transferred on hold for at least 10 minutes, hung up on. Call my branch, they can't help me I need to call 800 #, did that can't get info. Finally give up. Call today 5/18/22, same deal rep asks for info, can't help puts on hold for 5 min., the person she said could help can't, asks someone else, they can't help. Transfers me to supervisor, she can't help, puts me on hold tells me they can help. So 10 minutes later she says these people can't help, she need the people in the "back office"??? and that is a 50 minute hold. I don't have 50 additional minutes to wait, already been on hold for 41 minutes. So basically I have to wait for 2-3 days for someone to maybe call me back. My friends this is JPMorgan Chase customer service.
Application via app too difficult
Well, I'm a saver type and always look for the best interest rates (easy access accounts). So, I stubbled over Chase (1.5% interest rate). Well, fine, let's do the application. I had done that before with PayPal debit master card = 5 minutes and also with Virgin Money = 5 minutes. Chase? First, you need the phone app. No application over browser. Okay, I installed the app. Take a photo of passport or driving licence. Done. Selfie done. Error message. Why? No idea. "Something" went wrong. Okay, I started all over again. Error message. What the heck...and again and again. No way to find out what's wrong exactly. So I grabbed my phone and called them. After some waiting time I got the explanation: the selfie wasn't good enough. Ah, it was always good enough for all the others. So, I asked them via email if there is an option to upload the hopefully good enough selfie separately (because everything else was fine apparently). No answer. I gave up and stick to Virgin money's 1%. O you people from Chase: improve your software, please. Make it easier!
This company was actually helpful to me…
This company was actually helpful to me for the first couple weeks within being with them. They were responsive, attentive, and actually kept in contact with me. Lately they haven't been answering my emails and they've completely ghosted me lol. Not sure what's going on.
Great customer service at branch, horrible banking experience
Great customer service at branch, but horrible banking experience. I have never worked so hard to make my own funds available. I deposited a check using mobile check load. The check was processed and cleared the sender’s account on 4/15 and was supposed to be available 4/20. I go to my mobile bank app on 4/20 and my account is restricted. I called customer service and couldn’t get anyone to give me a clear answer of why this happened. I eventually was told after many phone calls that I needed to go in and verify my identity. I go to a nearby branch and their systems were down. The next day I go to the Denver Quebec branch and verified my identity. Come to find out this wasn’t enough either. They wanted to verify through the issuer even though I provided statements from them as well as a bank statement showing that the check cleared. The President and Vice President of the branch worked very hard to resolve this matter with Chase, but the issuer wasn’t allowed to verify checks due to confidentiality so I’m still waiting to receive my funds and for them to unblock my account. Shout-out to Jordan McKnight and Barry Malcom-Reed at Quebec for their help and prioritizing my concerns, but I am surely closing my account and transferring to another bank when my funds are finally released. Very inconvenient and the only reason for two stars is because of the wonderful people at this branch! Five stars for them, but overall if I could give Chase 0 stars I would.
WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM?
WHY? I have been a loyal customer since 2009 when we moved all 4 accounts to Chase from BoA because of poor service. I have a couple credit cards with lines between 7 and 17K but this place where I bank will not approve or offer an Chase or Chase sponsored cards with a line of 500.00. WHAAAAAAT?????????
Maybe I should give Citi or Capital One my banking business they are offer very good bonuses to move over to them.
HORRIBLE
HORRIBLE! no customer service at all. Rude and condescending. Closing my accounts. They claim it costs them 12.00 to process an outside check that had insufficient funds from another party and will charge you that amount with no waiving of fee even for a child's (small amount) birthday check from an elderly relative that made an error in their account. Will charge the chase customer that was not at fault. Relative said their bank did not even charge them a fee. BEWARE! DO NOT DEPOSIT CHECKS WITH CHASE BANK. When I asked the so called " customer service" rep, how can I trust a bank to process checks and not be worried about getting a fee assessed if the other person makes a mistake, she said "well there is a risk to everything." NO THANKS!!! Not taking a risk when it comes to banking and my money.
Don't do it
They may do well on investing your money for retirement but they suck at trying to access it. I would not recommend this investment firm just for this reason. Have a year into this person's death and have yet to be able to access the trust monies. Their willingness to help and get things taken care of is none. They have set up phone appts and don't call. Who has the time to waste like that? Surely not someone that actually works for a living.
Beware of this SHADY company.
Potential candidates - don't even bother wasting your time with J.P. Morgan. Attended for an SG interview for an entry level position (even though I have many years of experience) and received good feedback from the hiring manager, Jing Ying Huang, even though she was late for the interview for more than 10 minutes. Monique Ng, the so-called HR from Hong Kong did not even follow up after the interview. Upon chasing for an update, she claimed to have me apply to their website for the role (made no sense at all) and she would then respond on the next steps. It had been more than a month but no response whatsoever from one Monique Ng. Clearly, this is an incompetent bank with even more useless staff. From this, it was clear that multiple red flags were triggered and these evidently point to shady HR practices and questionable behaviors as to the overall culture of a listed US bank. In view of the above, I was obviously no longer interested and have since blacklisted J.P. Morgan. Coincidentally, I was earnestly headhunted by Goldman Sachs and BlackRock for a much better position merely a day after this circus show of gross misconduct from J.P. Morgan. Thankfully I was not fooled by J.P. Morgan's phony pretenses and incendiary culture. I am glad I did not fall for shady J.P. Morgan. Red flags are always the best indicators of foreboding malevolence. I have since secured the BlackRock role and never looked back. Good riddance.
Shame on you, Chase!
Horrible. I’m stuck because my check is auto deposited and it’s to hard to change right now that I’m sick. So many inappropriate charges, like magazines, they won’t remove or give you a hard time and say you need to get new card. Then, won’t approve legitimate charges from AliExpress. Over & over. Send me all these offers to invest. Yeah, right! Took over for Washington Mutual. I didn’t choose this bank.
My Honest Experience
Chase has continuously expressed their disdain for customer satisfaction over the years and it seems to be catching up. I opened an account with Chase online and after providing all the needed details and a couple transactions they closed my account due to “fraudulent activity”. No explanation other than that I had to come in to verify my account with some “extra information” Despite me being bedridden due to a injury I was told nothing could be done about this and that I would be mailed a check after 10 days…. Still no Check. I’ll add Chase to the list of Companies who can’t figure out the ever so hard puzzle of accommodating people with disabilities. I am aware that it is completely legal for chase to close my account even though I did nothing wrong however I am just sharing my personal experience.
Chase is the worst for Credit Cards
Our line of credit dropped from approx. $50 k with Chase Reserve to $17k with Chase Preferred. We had a $ 22k deposit to pay for our son's wedding venue. We called to increase the line and it was refused! We split the deposit into $12k (due 3/24).. we had $15k left on our credit line before the $12k payment...and $10k (due 3/26) & then made a series of prepayments directly from our bank to make sure the $10k was covered. Chase did not considered these as payments until March 29th although they cleared our bank on the 24th and looked as if they cleared on their site. Our first attempt to talk to a supervisor was being placed on hold of over 40 minutes. We hung up. Our second attempt was also long holds. Our first talk with a supervisor was a lady who spoke over my wife, told her the funds we had paid were not going to clear until the 29th and then hung up on my wife. Needless to say we will ditch the card as soon as we can. We made the second $10k payment today using a Mastercard issued by C*** Bank where our credit limit is greater than Chase Preferred (however, no fees or points... just peace of mind that the payment will process).
Crap service. Thieving bank
JPMorgan chase are holding without explanation an international wire transfer. They are the intermediary bank and refuse to release it, refuse to return it. Refuse to talk with either the sending bank or the beneficiary bank. This has been going on for almost 7 weeks. Crap service from a bunch of thieves.

Buyer beware Chase Bank ATMs will steal…
Buyer beware Chase Bank ATMs will steal from you. Do not trust them once you put a check in you can't get it back even if you don't agree to their ridiculous an outrageous terms.
Best Investment Banking Ever.
An extremely well represented team!
When I first wanted to trust them with my money, I wasn't too sure.
However once trying, I did enjoy their support and customer service in this endeavour.
Best wishes!
Website is trash
The website for businesses is difficult to navigate. It's not at all like other banks, and often glitches.
Terrible company - evil
I had a mortgage on my house with Chase. Every payment done by ACH on time. A portion of my land was taken by eminent domain and Chase hired a lawyer at my expense to "watch" the legal proceedings and billed over $6K to my balance and I had to pay it. The lawyer did not help me at all, I had to hire my own. Never another mortgage with Chase.
