I have mixed feelings about Julius K9 UK. While I initially received great service with a quick replacement for a defective harness, my experience with their products and customer service leaves me hesitant to recommend them. I ordered a training lead that deteriorated over time, posing a hazard, and my attempt to resolve issues with customer service was unsatisfactory. While some harnesses have proven to be lifesaving for others, my personal experience with product durability and customer support has not been as positive as I'd hoped. Overall, it's a hit-or-miss situation, and I rate them 3 stars.

I've been buying Julius K9 harnesses and other training equipment for years. Excellent quality and customer service always able to answer any questions.

Ordered a harness that had a defective. Sent an email to raise the issue and a replacement has been sent immediately. Great service like this is hard to come across these days

Inferior quality training Lead. Hazzard and dangerous for both dog and operator, Lead 3 years old Stitching came undone the lead stretched and frayed, Payed £48.30 thinking it was a very secure lead, 6 months into use we noticed the stretching of this lead, Now the stitching is coming undone, Avoid like the plague folks, You will loss your dog, Digby & fox quarter the price and a better leash, Customer service Dismissed us. Taken our custom to Digby & Fox

Great quality of harness, very light, durable and looks to sit comfortably on my dog after 5+ years of use. I'd buy another if this one wasn't holding up as well as it is.

Bought the Julius K9 believing it was one of the best, how wrong was I.
I found that if my dog backed up it would easily slip off. It was adjusted correctly but she slipped it 3 times. I have since Bought another make which has a Y front and a 3rd strap which is beyond the chest, brilliant success. Would never recommend K9 to anyone.

Such a shame that the ring to attach the lead is now cheap plastic. Also sizing charts confusing as the UK and US sizes are not included on the same chart.

I liked the harness until my dog was spooked and wriggled out of the harness. Thankfully she was uninjured but there is no way i could use the harness again.
I purchased directly from Julius K9 UK and it was the correct fit.

I have owned these for over 15 years and can testify to their quality and longevity. Recently my elderly Husky was attacked and the harness saved his well being to the point of Oi tire wounds into the harness and not my dog. I strongly advise any large dog owner to get one for controllability and safety consideration. Best harness out there. Thank you so much Julius K9. Louis says thank you too.

Was going to leave 2 stars because I've had 4 harnesses for my 2 dogs (one has managed to wriggle free and lose her harness twice) and the harnesses are fine.

However I brought 2 clip on lights for their harnesses, they were gone within the week. I brought 2 bullets to replace them, gone within the week.

I wrote to complain to customer services and they basically told me I was stupid and it wasn't their fault so to just buy new ones.
Since they hire such rude and unhelpful customer service I wouldn't be surprised if they were actively making the lights less secure to force you to buy new ones and the rude customer service was to cover it up!

Hello, i have a nearly 10 year old husky & we have always used the Julius K9 harness. I feel its strong and robust and has certainly not caused any health issues for my husky. I just wanted to share this comment i received on my husky's instagram page @susebeau. I think its pretty obvious that it hasnt given my husky gait issues either. Some rude busy body who i dont even know felt the need to write this negative comment:-
*just that those harnesses that cross in front of the shoulders (like the Julius K9 one) aren’t great for movement, they inhibit shoulder movement. Which might translate to a slightly unnatural gait, and to joint issues. Also, the bit on top (over the shoulders) is a bit wide and stiff, which isn’t helping most vets and trainers recommend a Y-front harness to allow for natural movement. ---- a clear response would be highly appreciated---

When telephoned instant response. They advised me well on which size harness I needed for my Siberian Husky. It fits perfect with adjustments for growth. Strong harness with side rings plus the top walking lead ring. The side ones are perfect for her pulling training of a weight. Thanks to staff.

I contacted Customer Services concerning the quality of a product. Their representative replied amazingly quickly, and despite the lack of information I had to offer re my order the situation is now resolved! I found their customer care to be faultless. I cannot praise both that and their products highly enough. Their 5 stars is truly deserved.

I was hopefully of a new harness for my young staffy.

We tried the K9 harness for a month. I had to stop using it because although the harness was fitted correctly, my dog was very easily able to wriggle out of it completely.

I know this isn't an isolated case, because since purchasing, my friend did the same, they have 2 bulldogs and a boxer and exactly the same problem happened. The dogs were able to wriggle out of the harness.

I have since had to move to another brand for a much sturdier, secure harness that the dogs can't escape from.

I am so grateful to Julius K9 for making harnesses that fit my dog Abu well.

When I first spotted a Julius K9 harness some years ago, I'd been struggling to find a harness that fit my dog well, and in fact had been perusing harnesses in a pet store when I noticed a woman walking two small dogs with these amazingly secure and comfortable looking harnesses on them - harnesses not being sold at that pet store - and I asked her for the name of the harness brand she was using.

Fast forward all these years later and I’d no longer need to ask that woman for the brand name of her dog harnesses now, as I see the name on the harnesses of so many dogs in my area now.

I'm so happy for the success that Julius K9 has had over the years, to’ve gone from being a brand whose name I had to get off of another dog owner, to a name that's hard to miss when I'm out and about in London these days.

I have a little dog, of an uncommon breed, but I've been able to adjust Abu's Julius K9 harnesses to fit his uncommon shape so well. I've even found the harnesses easy to use over dog rain-jackets when it's been wet outside.

Finding my dog Abu a comfortable harness has proved doubly important, as Abu has been diagnosed with having a chiari-like malformation that can cause him neck pain, and more recently, he has been suspected of suffering from tracheal collapse. Using a harness instead of a collar will reduce the chance of aggravating either of these conditions.

Whilst I've bought Julius K9 harnesses off of Amazon in the past, in recent weeks I've - for the first time - purchased some harness labels directly from the Julius K9 website. Some of these initial orders got lost or stuck in transit, but when I mentioned these issues to Julius K9, following their own investigations, they were helpful in resolving the problems by sending me the labels out again, with tracking.

I have really, really appreciated the exceptional customer service at Julius K9, given the bad luck I had with my first orders going missing or being delayed in delivery, and with Julius K9 being so helpful in investigating, and ensuring that I'd receive the labels I'd ordered. This gives me the confidence to directly order from Julius K9 again.

Whilst I've been quite inactive in making music in many years, due to my suffering from an accident some years ago and its resulting depression, recently I've realised that I need to try to do more to support myself, and I've been trying to get back to making music. As part of this effort to try to do more for myself, and my dog Abu, I've started having Abu wear the labels "LYNA MUSIC" on his harness whenever we're out and about. I love the look of these labels, which were made by Julius K9 to be compatible with their harness.

Got a harness in May, the ring broke after a few months of use, contacted the seller about it and they waved it over their head and did not care to help. If you buy this, don't but for s heavy dog. They told me to go to a tailor or to a dry cleaner for the fix

Very disappointed with this K9 crew company, I brought 2 collars and 2 leads from them. I wanted to return 1 of the leads. It said on their website, that I would have to email them if I wanted to return an item and I had only one month to return and get refunded. I sent to 2 emails to them and had no response. Over a month ago now. There was not a telephone number either. Still no reply. Avoid this company.

I needed Advice and Guidance from K9 JULIUS As to what Harness would be Suitable for My 11 week Old Boerboel pup to help support her on Stairs they couldn't help me enough excellent advice was offered therefore I Truly Trust this Excellent company and ordered without Hesitation I received my pups K9 JULIUS POWER HARNESS Today and I can confirm The Quality is outstanding and Robust I would Highly recommend this company without any Hesitation

I ordered the IDC® Powair Lightweight Harness in Medium, but I had mis measured my miniature Dachshund and it didn't fit, I explained the situation to Julius K9 and they help me get the correct sized harness, I cannot fault this Company, the customer service, product and advice is second to none, I would recommend this company to anyone, keep up the good work guys you are all outstanding, me and Bear are looking forward to using his new harness and chest pad. thanks again.

Absolutely appalling company!! Stay away. The way they treat their trade customers is disgraceful. Very unprofessional, rude and no ability to communicate like decent adults. We will be seeking legal action which is not something we really want to do but now have no choice.
