I decided to go for a higher quality harness from Julius, it has not even lasted 7 months. Contacted Julius and the customer service we sooo rude and blamed me for not keeping it correctly. If you look through the 1 star reviews they will all say the customer service were bad, or look at the response it’s very defensive. Take a look at your customer service!!!! Will never recommend this product😡

I bought one today for my 10 month old dog. It was fitted on securely and put on her. My dog managed to wiggle out of it and she escaped. She ran off luckily we caught her.
We bought the harness for our pup, unfortunately she has escaped from the harness numerous times I have tightened it but it just comes loose.
Having to search for alternatives as its worrying whilst walking her near busy roads.
A bit disappointing as it wasn't cheap and not had it 12 months.
The harness is nicely padded though and love the range of colours.
I had an issue with the harness when the metal ring that the leash clips onto ripped through the fabric that held it to the harness when my dog pulled on it. This was 9 months after purchasing via amazon. Customer Support were very quick to respond and have sent out a replacement.

I realised that I had ordered the wrong size life vest for my red border collie. I contacted customer support for Julius K9 New Zealand, and they told me to ship it to an address. It was delivered to that address and I am still waiting for my refund but previously the service and quality of my purchase was outstanding and I hope that all the franchises including Julius K9 UK are all happy about getting this review as I am very happy with the customer service provided!

Given the price tag for these harnesses, the quality of material and design is not there. There seems to be no correlation between neck and chest size and the use of a Velcro strap which deteriorates quickly and loses grip when wet is not safe when a dog pulls. The strap material creases easily and cuts into the body and the retaining of the correct position according to JULIUS cannot be maintained as the harness is inadequately fastened. Te chest strap then moves toward the legs causing rubbing and broken skin. I also concur with others the 12 month period and after that, then tough seems to be the Julius response. If you don't buy from them, no refund is provided. However, they don't appear to accept negative comments and have a contact for this company in the UK who was responsible for the design and manufacture. This is a shame. There appears to be a head office in Hungary.
Very disappointing and dangerous harnesses in which my dogs have easily escaped though luckily were not hurt nor hurt others. I won't risk this happening again and after having purchased 3 harnesses to test the sizing, all exhibit the same problems. Either the neck is too big or the chest too small. Velcro should not be used as a fitting in which considerable force is applied.
They also appear dreadful in general UK weather. Very disappointing and scary harnesses to use.
The response below tries to blame the age of the harnesses which were ordered on 11th & 14th May 2022. This is a deliberate attempt to portray their harnesses in a better light than deserved. The harnesses were ill fitting from the start and due to this company's minimum warranty of 1 year, they claim the items purchased were faulty due to age. They malfunctioned (by stress on certain parts of the harness and not others within weeks and whilst I was not looking for a refund as they allege below, I tried to show as others have how dangerous and badly designed these harnesses are. Their corporate answer is below. They also alleged not to have understood the concerns I raised yet they seem to be the same as many here. Why the confusion? They have no CE certificate but allege or are eager to point out commissioned studies. A poor but typical corporate response from a poor Hungarian company who don't seem to care one jot. No reply yet from head office in Hungary. I doubt if I will get one.

Ordered a couple of harness attachments at the start of November, I had an email to confirm my address on the 2nd November. Still waiting for my order and no response to follow up emails and 10 calls with no answer.
After sending an email on the back of the response with the original email attached detailing my address there has still been no response to my request for a refund! This is now nearly two months on!

I have 4 dogs, two labradors, a pug and a Lhasa apso. K9 harnesses are spot on, with the customizable patches iv managed to make it clear on both my labs harnesses that one is a service dog and the other is dietbetic.as for the pug with the airways of pugs being smaller. These harnesses avoid any damage to her throat .

Ordered harness Tuesday then released I’ve ordered the wrong size emailed them right away and they changed it for me, harness arrived today slight problem with DNL but not there fault …. Harness is beautiful and extremely well made and my gsd loves it, will definitely be using more from your company thank you.
5 stars for you guys! I can’t fault them one bit. I love their harnesses (I have a few) and their customer service is fantastic. Ive never had a problem with them nor their harnesses. I’ve even recommended a friend to purchase from their website and mentioned how brilliant the customer service is from start to finish.
We bought a harness for our Smooth Fox Terrier, Jude a couple of years ago. We got it to stop him pulling and choking. We were extremely happy with the result , but little did we know it would prove a life saver. My wife suffered serious wounds rescuing Jude in a dog attack. Miraculously, Jude was unhurt. It was only when I put the harness on to take him for a walk, that I saw the tooth marks in the harness, which judging by my wife’s injuries would surely have been fatal.

Excellent customer service from Ruth who helped with some initial slipping that happened when using an IDC Powerharness with a long line. Very prompt replies from start to finish. Would definitely recommend going direct and not via a 3rd party based on my experience today.

harness injures dog within hours of wearing, not suitable for an active dog, which is pretty much all dogs, so not fit for a dog at all, i have photos on amazon, the velco comes undone and rubs the dogs armpit causing nasty blisters. Terrible harness, yes but the harness is made by u even if its sold on amazon, ive contacted them directly and they assure me they dont sell fake and will look into it. As for fitting of harness weight and chest circumferance were correct as per your instructions, and yes its the velcro at the front that has slipped and caused blister, why is this not fixed? obviously inferior design, ive owned dogs had 2 many harnesses 2 count , this first one 2 injure dog within days, your only defence prob a fake, well amazon adamant its not, so not fake and correct size , so now what u say?

I bought a Julius K9 UK harness from the Julius K9 amazon page and only had it for about a week before it ripped at the seam. I thought that maybe it wasn't a genuine product so got a refund. I then purchased the same harness from the Julius website and couldn't believe it when it started falling apart again after a short time ... my dog doesn't even pull on the lead. I emailed Julius with a copy of my receipt and a photo of the faulty product and got a reply from Anne in 'Customer Service' asking for a photo (!!??) so I sent it again and received the following reply .....
"That's great, thank you.
Unfortunately this is not the harness that was purchased from ourselves so we are unable to help.
You will need to go back to Amazon with your concerns."
I'm surprised that a company such as Julius treat their customers this way! She was, more or less, suggesting that I had bought it from Amazon and was trying to get a refund from them. Her reasoning was that there was no side metal ring on the harness in the photo ... despite the photo clearly showing a side metal ring!
I have now bought a Hurtta harness which is far superior to the Julius. DO NOT BUY A JULIUS HARNESS ... spend your hard earned money with Hurrta!!

Unfortunately I had an issue with my dogs harness that I bought 9 months ago so I contacted the Customer Services Department who went above and beyond to trace my order and promptly sent out a replacement which I received 2 days later. It was a pleasure to deal with Julius colleagues who were wonderful and extremely helpful.

So disappointed with a "personalised" label I had placed an order for, which costs £8 for one single velcro strip, not two for either side of the harness, but only received one, and it wasn't even the name I had chosen. The packet containing the "personalised" label was open and one of the pair of labels had been removed. Rang up customer services and explained the problem but I was greeted with a response that it was my fault and that I had written "working dog" as a personalised label. My response was that "working dog" is one of their pre-set labels at £3 currently on special offer (for 2) and why would I personalise one at more cost to myself ? More to the point why didn't someone ring me up and ask me as it was just such a glaringly obvious mistake? This just kept being repeated and so I asked to speak to a manager who just repeated the exact same as before. Pointless speaking to someone who will not listen - something which apparently is quite common on these reviews. Gave up in exasperation!!! Won't deal with these people again especially looking at all the other dreadful reviews regarding Julius K9 in the UK.
