I initially contacted Julius to complain about the velcro strap on the harness coming apart when my dog pulls, causing the dog to break free. Customer services answered my email swiftly, asked me to send photos of the dog wearing the harness and turns out I've been using it incorrectly and potentially dangerously!! They sent me a short youtube video of instructions (the strap goes through the loop.... and folds back on itself!! duh!!) and now we're good to go!! I would encourage everyone to double check they're using the harnesses correctly and contact Julius if any problems. Thank you Julius!!!
I can highly recommend Julius K9. I have really struggled with a harness for my tripaw puppy, Then I contacted Julius k9. Problem solved in no time at all. Excellent response to my contact email. Fast shipping and a great product. So much so that I have ordered another harness for my other dog.
Terrible harness
We have now had x2 of these for our Labrador retriever and we’ve no idea why it’s advertised as ‘no pull’ as soon as he’s in this he pulls us something rotten. To the point of us falling over! It doesn’t stop the pulling but seems to actively encourage it. We have another harness not julius which has an attachment on the front and that does stop him pulling because when he pulls he spins around to face us so he doesn’t like doing that. This one has nothing to stop the pull. Islets false advertising to say it’s ‘no pull’ when infact it should say it’s safer for them to pull because it perhaps disperses the force better but lost definitely doesn’t stop any pulling.
What do you do when you want a horse/cow/large animal to pull a cart/machinery, put them in a harness! What do u want if u want your dog to pull- put them in this harness! Apparently you can get yet any strap that attaches to the front however this is added extra and they’re all out of stock, but it’s not a no pull harness without this so should come with it! He’s young and still in the process of being trained but every trainer we’ve spoken To has said that it helps to have a no pull harness- these ARE marketed as ‘no pull’ everywhere states “Julius K-9 the no pull harness” which is wrong .

I awaited delivery of this harness with great expectations! My Labrador x Springer is a really strong puller and I really hoped this would help but, no, no improvement whatsoever. So disappointed. Not a cheap harness, either! I’ve tried all the training methods without success. She can’t deal with a Halti or similar and just stands on her hind legs and scrapes the Halti off with her front paws - then chews it! Any other recommendations? I’m at a loss! Chest plate harness - useless! All I want to do is have a pleasant dog walk!

Have several idc harnesses from Julius K9, I have two very strong boxer dogs who can pull like trains, the harness doesn't stop pulling but if you get the front control belt it does make a huge difference. The quality of these harnesses are amazing (the only ones I trust) just ordered two more as my boxer girl chewed the buckel on one while I wasn't watching this was in no way a manufacturing fault but my own fault for not hanging the harness up out of the way, I really can not understand people finding fault with these harnesses unless they have ordered the wrong size or not fitting them correctly

DO NOT BUY!
Our vet & physio has determined the harness as a contributing factor to our puppy's front leg lameness. Please do your research and look else where

As with other reviews on here we have had to bin our harness as the metal D ring the lead attaches to rusted so became rough and wore away the fabric that holds the D ring to the harness rendering it useless as it could give way at any time and our dog end up running loose under a car or something. I contacted Julius K9 in the UK, as that’s where I am, to be told quite unhelpfully they don’t manufacture it and try juliusK9.com, they couldn’t even be bothered to give me the main office contact details, just go look it up yourself. Turns out it’s in Hungary. For what is sold as a premium product at premium prices this has lasted less than a year, so I will not be buying anything they produce in future, and the customer service matches the quality of the product too. Steer clear.

Good and bad experiences. We have a small bearded collie. I got the harness fitted at pets at home and it fits fine but my dog has slipped it a couple of times by pulling backwards. It has also disintegrated at both sides after 14 months so quite expensive to not last that long but it does keep her under control and is better than attaching lead to collar
A supposed premium product which is fitted with the cheapest possible plastic clasp, which our little puppy was able to bite through in seconds. Product rendered completely useless. Response from customer ‘service’ was sarcastic and as useful as the harness.

I bought one of these and after 3 days it started coming away... so i went back to the shop who said it must be a manufacturing fault. I got another one and the same thing has happened. Iv also noticed my pups been getting quite dry skin from it and hes been quite irritable. Iv had a haiti harness before and he was brilliant with that. I will be returning to the haiti brand as i feel it was a lot better for him. Im so disappointed in the quality of julius k9 - maybe look at using materials that are hypoallergenic.
The harness is terrible and not secure, was also very expensive for what it is. I did not ask for a refund but would not recommend to anyone buying Julius-K9 harnesses or other products. There are much more secure harnesses available on the market with three points of adjustment and taking dogs' anatomy into account which allow for movement of the dog's shoulder blades. Julius-K9 harness is more like a saddle stifling movement, also not waterproof, gets wet and heavy quickly during walking. Not just inconvenient but dangerous as the dog can easily get out of it even when it is properly adjusted. Avoid at all cost.
We purchased a Julius-K9 Mini for our Small working Cocker Spaniel. We had the harness fitted by the Pet Shop we purchased it from and all has been well for the last two and a half months we have owned the harness. Yesterday our dog slipped out of the harness due to the main harness securing clip failing (One of the clip tangs has gone weak and does not hold in place). I have contacted Julius-K9 UK and have been told that they are not the manufacturer and as we have not purchased the harness from there website they would not cover the failure under warranty. Surely, as the UK official distributor they would want to help??

The one star I have given is for how easy the harness is to fit...this harness is not safe ....I had it fitted by professionals who sell the product with great knowledge of fitting and explained how the harness was supposed to be the best.....when the dog is walking forward harness is fine but as soon as dog pulls back ...dog is out the harness in seconds just slips out....it was a waste of money as I cant use it again.... not point in calling customer services as like I say the harness was fitted by a seller for correct size and fit ....

Do not buy. Expensive and my beagle slipped the harness and ran away. Now being told that because my dog used the harness once, i can’t have a refund or exchange because it has hair on it and is dirty. It appeared to fit when I tried it on my dog so how was I to
Know he was going to slip it without using it.
Extremely disappointed

A highly raved about product that looks like it should be worth the money spent. Within 3 years I have gone through 4 harnesses for 2 small dogs.
The 'D' Ring on the harness sized Mini and below are made of inferior material to the larger harnesses, once any sort of moisture hits them they start to rust and rub away at the material causing eventually a rip in the fabric that houses the D ring and rendering the harness useless.
After Harness no.3 started showing signs of the same wear and tear, I spoke to their customer services who took 2 weeks to respond and couldnt offer a response other than that different sized products have different materials, wait to see if the one harness I have still in warrenty degrades anymore( so I showed them its already degrading but its not enough to warrent a replacement) and then I can have a replacement. Otherwise nothing they can do because a third party company actually makes their harnesses.
Poor customer service and a poor qaulity product for far too much money, I cant speak for the larger harness but im sure they last longer than 18 months as they have sturdier materials designed for everyday use but unless you own a big dog, I would avoid as you will buying harnesses every other year and you wont recieve any sort of compensation.
I love the Julius K9 harness. I have 3 now all in different colours. They are far less fiddly to put on that some other brand where you can’t figure out where’s the leg or head hole! Seem very comfy on my dog. I’d definitely recommend.
Absolute pleasure to speak to a customer service that is willing to go out there way to help.
Spent a good time on the phone to a lovley lady who helped with the size of the harness to fit our dogs.
When these harness arrived we couldn't be happier with these products will be using this company again 5* service
Thanks julius K9
From start to finish with customer service, advice and help choosing the correct size and harness for my dog it’s been a great experience.
The harness has made such a difference on Dexter and I thank Julius-k9 for that .
Great service , fab product and speedy delivery .
Well done .
Spent more money on a trusted brand. What a waste of money. Absolutely terrible. As soon as your dog pulls backwards the harness slip's over their head. Very dangerous.
