The experience over the years was consistently wonderful. The Junior Lawers Club was easy to contact, so organized and the composition of the lessons, really interesting and entertaining.
The team are so encouraging and have such positive feedback, giving my daughter lots of confidence. She acquired those soft skills which are so elusive, how to express yourself with sophistication and project power and authority in subtle ways. Not to mention, a greater vocabulary, of course debating skills and an understanding of how law works, flowing from her subconsciously.
When applying for Head Girl post at school, she felt confident because of the interview practice that had also been taught by The Junior Lawers Club.

Being homeschooled and living in an isolated place means that my daughter has tried many online classes and clubs. This is the only one she has stuck with.
She looks forward to it every week. It has given her amazing confidence and skills that I didn't think she was old enough to manage. A few months ago she , at aged 11, managed to come up with a business plan - including forecasted accounts and present it online. She would never have even had the courage or skills to tackle such a task a year previously.
Many skills that come up in her English course, she says she's already tackled at Junior Lawyers.
I cannot recommend it enough!

I found JLC during lockdown so that my son could have some stimulating contact with other people; he loved it and wanted to continue even when starting to meet up with others face to face again. He has learnt how to argue a point with great precision and clarity often making me curse these sessions when the argument has been directed against me. I really believe JLC has had very positive effect on my son's ability to concieve a point of view and elucidate on it effectively.

We have been raving about Junior Lawyer club to other parents and they look at us a bit quizzically because they haven’t experienced the course…but we genuinely believe that the Junior Lawyer Class sessions are exceptional.

There aren’t many non-academic learning activities that are for younger “gifted” children, but Junior Lawyers have nailed it. These children are intellectually curious and quick to learn. They often ask in-depth questions that catch unprepared adults off-guard. And most importantly, they want to learn “real” skills that they see as having value in the adult world. Otherwise, they aren’t interested.

Your team do an incredible job of explaining complex concepts to the children, while stretching them and giving them the security of an environment to fail and try again. Plus they teach not by telling, but by demonstrating what they teach.

That’s what we were looking for without knowing!

Great sessions for kids. My two daughters love it and so do I. Advocacy, public speaking, debating, current affairs, interview technique, critical thinking and more. All those essential skills that are difficult to “teach” at school. Best club they attend. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Having completed our first term I can now confidently feedback that the JLC is a fantastic online group - especially for tweens / teens.

It’s abundantly clear that the sessions and terms are incredibly well constructed and delivered by articulate, kind and passionate tutors.

Our daughter was a bit nervous at first but is really enjoying the classes. JLC is superb for teaching critical thinking, debating and public speaking. These are areas which don’t get the attention they deserve in many schools.

JLC is an exceptional experience for young people by providing consistent, well structured, inspiring and challenging workshops. The interaction between young people and mentors has been invaluable. The skills learned provide a strong foundation for other progression and achievements. The format for learning is unique. My daughter has enjoyed each workshop, each year, growing in confidence and capability. Many thanks to the team for making it such a success and good fun.

JLC is simply superb in creating a perfect plan to help children develop critical thinking skills on the spot keeping children constantly thinking about ethics and empathy. The program is so well structured and the topics extremely relevant to the world we live in today, I cannot thank Suzanne and her fantastic team enough for her innovative ideas she comes up with for every session which is unique and well rounded. The team comes across highly co-ordinating and their analysis of every child's performance on the spot and clear short feedback to improve on in the next few minutes is amazing. This is a must for every child in the UK. If they aren't then they are truly missing this fabulous experience.

This club has had such a huge impact on my son's confidence, resilience and overall progress in school and out of school activities. He is very confident in debating, putting his point across thinking critically and analysis. He has wanted to become a lawyer for a few years now and this has further supported his dream. The course lead is very understanding and helpful and always answers emails promptly. I really appreciate how much this activity has helped my son. Thank you!!!

My daughter started attending Junior Lawyers Club in December of 2020. She has grown from a young, shy, reserved girl into a confident, articulate and innovative teenager. This is with help from the team at Junior Lawyers Club. Each individual has made her feel included, and in doing so has helped her have the confidence to utilise the skills learned at junior lawyers club in school, with friends and and family and for herself. The Junior Lawyers Club (JLC) is a class run by professional barristers, solicitors, and actors who aim to help the next generation understand the rule of law and its application.Susanne and the team put a lot of effort and time into organizing the weekly sessions, ensuring that members receive the best possible education and guidance.

We meet via Zoom for theory and practical sessions. The sessions are just as (or even more) enriching and stimulating as an in-person class. Having classes online enables us to participate no matter where we are in the world; we are also able to meet other people our age who share the same dedication to this subject. My love for JLC is evident in the fact that I've tried to never miss a session, and although I'm no longer in the UK, I still attend the classes regularly, every week in fact!

JLC is an excellent activity for those interested in pursuing a career in law, but it's not just for aspiring lawyers. The club helps to develop essential life skills such as confidence, public speaking, negotiation, imagination, and creativity. By joining JLC, you'll have the chance to meet and learn from professionals and participate in sessions based on real-life legal scenarios. The club provides a supportive environment where you can ask questions, share ideas, and engage in debates with other members.

Being a part of the JLC is a unique experience that has enhanced my life in countless ways. It has allowed me to pursue my passion for law, learn new skills, and meet like-minded individuals who share my interests. I've also gained a deeper appreciation for the law and its importance in society, which has given me a greater sense of purpose and direction.

For those who may be feeling a little worried about speaking in front of people and therefore might not want to join a club like this one, let me share my sister's experience. My sister used to be extremely shy, and she was really against joining the Junior Lawyers as she was too scared to speak in front of a group. I had been taking classes for around two years at that point. I convinced her to at least try, and the JLC tutors worked their magic and gently pushed her out of her shell. Almost immediately, my sister began to blossom as a person; she has become so much more confident. Unlike me, she doesn't aspire to become a lawyer, but she still greatly enjoys the classes. The point is that JLC can help you break out of your shell, just like it helped my sister. All I'm saying is to give it a shot! I promise you won't regret it!

JLC has helped many young people pursue their passions and develop valuable life skills. Members of the club have reported feeling more confident in public speaking and negotiation, and they've developed a better understanding of how the law applies in real-life situations. JLC is an incredibly rewarding activity that provides numerous opportunities for personal and professional growth.

Both my daughters love the classes so much they look forward to them. They have built incredible skills and the topics discussed are so relevant and current. It enriches their general knowledge but also equips them with debate skills, building their speaker abilities with confidence, educating them about litigation and laws. My son absolutely enjoys his experience at The Junior Lawyers Club. His ability to self-advocate and express himself while respecting the belief and rights of others is a beneficial quality that any parent would want for their kids.

My son has developed the ability to negotiate and disagree respectfully, speaks more confidently using jargon content and style, able to bring across his points strongly, effectively and articulate well.

Recently, my son did a class presentation for a school project and I was very impressed at how competently he brought across his points, his mannerism, gesticulation and ability to persuade and convince his listeners.

He has developed a more proactive approach to his school work, has become more serious minded, self discipline and focused.

I would highly recommend The Junior Lawyers Club. My son is on his second year and would continue until the program ends.

My daughter absolutely loves JLC, she has thoroughly enjoyed every session over the last 12 months!
I often say it is the best and worst thing I have ever sent her to, she can now debate logically, structure a coherent argument and discuss valid points from both sides with comprehension and clarity, I dont stand a chance!

I have been attending Junior Lawyers Club for over 3 years now and it has taught me so many valuable skills.
Not only has my public speaking improved greatly, but my confidence in my general ability to hold topical conversations and argue my opinion in a timely, respectful, and convincing manner has improved tenfold.
Every Saturday, I learn something new, whether that be a debate technique, a new political issue, or a rule in court. The way in which the sessions are run, ensures that everyone has fun, is engaged, and gets detailed personal feedback, enabling everyone to reach their full potential in public speaking and debating.
I'd recommend this club to anyone who is interested in law, debating, is looking to increase their confidence, or just wants to attend a really enjoyable and interesting club!

I signed my younger son for the club during lockdown when I found that he wasn't engaging well with his online classes and was really losing confidence. With the skills he's learned, he has really grown in confidence, becoming very articulate in conversation with adults and being very proud of membership of JLC. The classes and tutors are very engaging. I am glad that he has benefited so much and reached the point of being invited for the Gold award.

My older son has also enjoyed the classes. He is in secondary school and I think he will benefit more when he is in the later years of school and can make direct application in interviews and presentations at school.

I would definitely recommend.

Our daughter joined the JLC a few months ago. She used to be shy and didn’t have a confidence in speaking in public. Since she started taking the JLC lessons, her ability to think and come up with ideas on various topics on the spot has increased dramatically. The JLC workshop also helped our daughter succeed the recent 11plus interviews. ( She was offered a place at a top independent school.)
Susanne has been very supportive and all of the JLC tutors are excellent in facilitate the lessons.

I have seen my daughter grow more confident and develop her reasoning and analytical skills. She is starting to persuade me very easily now!

We can all agree that public speaking is one of the most significant and loathed forms of communication. Susanne and her amazing team plant the seeds, so our kids become brilliant and confident speakers. You don’t have to aspire to become a lawyer; public speaking training offers value-added advantages to kids.
