I too saw the Trustpilot reviews only after placing my order, and I was uneasy about the authenticity of some of those that were highly complimentary.

Order placed on the evening of 22 June was promptly acknowledged by an itemized email. Two working days later (26 June) made phone contact at third attempt and spoke to helpful Matthew. He informed me that the order was due for collection that day for delivery on 27 June. In the event, it arrived on 29 June, ie 5 working days after the order was placed.

This new Bosch Black has a coded manufacture date of January 2017, which is entirely satisfactory.

I have 3 observations:

1. The confirmation email did not contain the promised link to track the progress of the order.

2. The very thorough swaddling in bubblewrap was probably done by 2 people. It was virtually impossible to unwrap the battery single-handed without rolling it.

3. A reminder to remove vent plugs was sound, except that it is clearly very important NOT to remove BOTH plugs if the battery is to be installed in a closed compartment with a vent tube attached.

Overall, this transaction was highly satisfactory, and was excellent value for money.

After ordering the battery from Justcarbatteries I received the order email from uhfdistributionltd which I wasn't expecting.
I thought I would check the reviews on this and to my horror saw the list of bad reviews so couldn't believe that I had bought it from them - only because they were the cheapest!!
Anyhow, I decided to wait a couple of days and no battery so I rang; the first number was engaged but got through on the second number straight away and the lady said it had been posted and emailed me a UKMail tracking number which was valid and stated it had been collected.
I've just received a battery this morning (a week later which seems due to UK Mails fault) and despite me ordering a Varta battery a Bosch one arrived but it is a similar specification so ultimately it is a battery I can use.
Maybe I was lucky but then again maybe not many people who receive batteries write a review - I'd say more people write to complain than write a review to say the company did what it was supposed to do!?
I got my battery within a week so all in all I'm relieved and happy!

After a week still haven,t received my battery and they are only 16 miles away, phoned several times but no answer, will persue receiving my payment back as Iam not holding my breath to receiving the battery after reading the reviews.

To be honest, after looking at all of the negative reviews, I considered myself stupid to actually buy something from the website.

They had the car battery I was looking for online, so I thought it'd be wise to give the number a call and see if somebody answered - A chap answered on the first attempt and proceeded to confirm the battery was in stock and gave me an estimated delivery date.

To cover my own back I paid using Paypal and prepared for the long wait.

Within a matter of days (1 day earlier than predicted) the battery came insanely well bubble wrapped in a box, with all protection covers on, and a reminder to remove the vent plugs. Voltage readings were healthy and is working well in my car.

Really can't complain from my personal experience - I'll probably buy from them again if their communication remains present.

Ordered a Ctek battery charger on 14 May 2017......received e.mail confirming order.....no further communication and tried phoning on three occasions to establish where the order was..They don't answer the phone?....The Web site offers much but they have not delivered my order within their timescales......I have little confidence in this company delivering this order. I have had to start claim proceedings via Paypal

Order not delivered despite paying for next day delivery, chased through paypal and received refund.
If like me you have ordered and now realise you have made a mistake in trusting this place with your cash make sure all complaints go via paypal or your credit card company as this place is not interested in you or customer service.
I don't believe they have any stock items

I have recently tried to purchase a NEW car battery from justcarbatteries.co.uk. When I opened the package the battery was scratched, damaged and covered in mud. Not only was the battery in a bad condition, the model of the requested battery was incorrect.

I then tried to call justcarbatteries.co.uk, fortunately someone actually answered the phone (unlike the rest of the reviews on this website). I explained to them the condition of my goods and even before I had a chance to mention: order details, my own name, or paypal transactions, the person on the other line was telling me I was wrong and that my goods were in fact new and not damaged.

From a glance at the website, this company looks like a legitimate car battery distributor. After this experience, I know now that justcarbatteries.co.uk is a company of crooks and con artists who probably find old batteries at a car scrapyard and sell them on to unsuspecting customers.

If I can give you any advice today: DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY

Easter Monday (17th April 2017) I ordered a Bosch S4 027 battery. The price quoted including delivery was £69.96

I subsequently found the bad reviews scattered over the internet. I feared the worst because the price was at least £24 cheaper than anyone vendor. I had paid by PayPal, so I had some cover. I called JCB on Tuesday morning to get some reassurance, it took several calls to get through. When they did answer, they said the battery was in stock and it would be dispatched soon. I prepared for the worst.

The battery was delivered today (Thursday 20th April 2017). In a well sellotaped box, cardboard spacers positioned around the battery which was wrapped in 45 feet of bubble wrap! The battery itself was in a tight sealed black bag. A note had been hand written on a sticker on the battery advising that the 2 air plugs need to be removed before use.

Fair play to JCB. I would advise them to be a bit more responsive to phone calls but other than that a very good service and an incredible price.

I was apprehensive after reading some very negative reviews. I received exactly what I'd ordered after 2 working days. Unbeatable price for prestine battery.

Purchased a Bosch battery (029) from Justcarbatteries 2 weeks ago. A battery arrived (no paperwork at all) but it was dirty and scratched and knowing a thing or two about batteries id say this was a refurbished item. Checked with a meter and it did show 12.7V which is healthy but based on the condition i requested to return the item as i didnt want to be replacing it in 6 months. No response from the company so obtained a refund from PayPal. My advice, don't buy from them, but if you do then use PayPal.

No battery, no replies to email. AVOID!!

Paid via PayPal and managed to get my money back by raising a complaint with them. Took a while but at least I wasn't out of pocket.

Did I get what I ordered? Yes but I don't believe it was new! Very poor packaging, non exsitant communication, did not answer emails or phone calls. Impossible to get hold even their website was down. I will never buy from this company again, neither should you...Buyer Beware!

I ordered a Bosch S4-026 at 11am on 11Jan from Just Car Batteries, showing as in stock so paid for overnight delivery. This company is also known as UHF Distribution and other ghost names. Battery didn't turn up next day or the next. Tried phoning the tel number on invoice email but they will not pick up. 4 days later (6 days after ordering) the wrong battery turned up (an S4-027), and it looked used anyway. 22 unanswered telephone calls, 1 online contact form & 1 direct email later with no reply (and waiting the requisite 2 weeks) by PayPal I claimed my £79.98 back. I had to send the wrong item back at my own expense (still trying to reclaim that). By the way, most parcel delivery firms will NOT legally ship car batteries, including the firm, UKMail, that JCB use. I used another supplier who did deliver next day and for only £4 more than the price Just Car Batteries (UHF Distribution) charged. The singularly worst company I have ever had the misfortune to use and have questioned PayPal's ongoing support of it.

Obviously if you get your battery quick and at a good price its worth 5stars, but if you don't, you're in for hell of a struggle with these parasites. Had to chase my order (with very poor communication from the parasites) in March 2016 for two weeks and loads of phone calls. Battery failed after 10 months. Sent it back using their recommended courier. (All they have to do is send it to Varta to be checked, no cost to them).
I have now chased up 11 times on phone now (36 attempted and not answered). Each time I'm asked all the same details, my number taken and assured they will ring me within half an hour. Liars!
The woman told me warehouse manager would ring me within half an hour. Liar!
The chap who calls me 'mate' has told me he's 'finding out' and would ring back in 5mins. Liar! I try and ring back and they just hang-up.
If they weren't so far away I'd be round there, but i think they'd still lie to my face.
Next, they said they hadn't received battery.
I say I have signature and tracking info. They suddenly find it in back of warehouse.
I'm told it'll be sent to manufacturer for testing.
I hear nothing. ring them up, they say they'll find out and "ring me back"
Nothing. So I ring them next day.
I'm asked when I purchased battery? They then say the manufacturer has said it's not a manufacturing problem, so they'll send me back the battery. I state that the battery does not hold a charge and is guaranteed for 2 years. They say they'll ring me in two days....
I've had enough now.
Think I'll buy another battery, pay a bit more and use a local supplier.
Will be looking into some sort of legal action against them now.
Bloody liars! They need to be stopped? Trouble is that people (like me) don't bother researching a company before placing orders. Lesson learnt. Anybody know a good parasite spray?

Was a bit worried when I saw some poor reviews. No need to though. Battery came in two days and was new /in perfect condition and fully charged. Very pleased. Also very good price.

I placed an order for a Varta E44 type 096 battery for my VW Golf on Sunday night. Received an email straight away with a confirmation of my order. Monday morning my item was marked as dispatched. I chose the free delivery option and it arrived on Friday. JCB were by far the cheapest for this battery and with free delivery I couldn't complain. I received regular updates and tracked it via my account on the website. Battery arrived packaged like a precious item. Wrapped several times in bubble wrap surrounded by cardboard so when I finally got to the battery in was in mint condition. Fitted today (Saturday) and ran a test on the battery with no surprise that it passed with flying colours. Not sure if the other reviews are fake but I highly recommend just car batteries.

ordered a battery, battery hasnt come, havent recieved any tracking details or replys from my emails, tried phoning a number of times, no answer .. im just glad i payed them by paypal and not bank transfer so i can get my money returned to me ..
they run a couple of companys under different names but use the same number .. ie Autopoint batterys and jcb (just car batteries)

Bought a car battery from these cowboys (UHF DISTRIBUTION on eBay & lots of different car battery companies registered at same address) and had problems straight away. Battery died twice and I had to recharge twice. Contacted UHF who assured me it must be my car. Struggled on a little while more and as long as car used every day the battery just about started the car (although had problems a couple of times even then). As soon as car not used for 2 days battery dead. Contacted again and again fobbed off with "it's a brand new battery, your car must be draining it while engine off." Called AA and they managed to start car from their booster and tested battery. Faulty battery Bad Cell was the diagnosis for a battery which was supposedly 3 months old. Contacted UHF again and emailed AA BATTERY REPORT. No apology. Was told to send back (at my own cost naturally!) Finally managed to get a courier company to take it (no mean feat as its on the prohibited list) and got email from courier company saying it had been delivered and signed for. UHF claimed not to have received it. I emailed them proof and the next day they admitted having it back but that it had 'only just arrived mate." I wonder who I should believe!!!! They told me they were sending it off for testing. I found this hard to believe but had to go with it. A week passed and nothing. My car still out of action and no contact so I contact them. Spoke to an absolutely useless female employee who found it hard to grasp the most basic principle that if sent a battery back, apparently it had been sent for testing and had heard nothing. She passed me in to someone else equally as unhelpful who told me the 'bloke you need to speak with is on holiday mate. Don't know when he'll be back.' Obviously fairly unsatiisfied with this answer I demanded to speak to a manager. I was told one would call me, although he couldn't seem to grasp the idea of writing down a telephone number and so I didn't expect much. No call came, funnily enough. Finally got tired of dealing with these useless lot. They are clearly sending out dodgy batteries that they no doubt get a rock bottom prices because they're faulty. You only have to read the scores of unhappy customers online. I wish I had before purchase. Got PayPal involved and a week later got my money back (less the courier return cost) and was happy to walk away and buy from a reputable company. I gave these jokers 1 star because it wouldn't let me leave none, but they don't even deserve 1 star. Appalling from start to finish. AVOID

Like another reviewer I ordered a Bosch battery for my wife's car before reading some of these bad reviews.
It was ordered Tuesday midday and it was delivered Friday pm which is equivalent to 'next day' or '2 day' delivery for northern Scotland. Very well bubble wrapped and boxed with a hand written reminder to remove the vent plugs.
It would have been nice to receive an order confirmation/dispatch email but this must be a compromise of low pricing from the internet.
Recommended.
