Terrible serious, no communication at all, glad we paid by Paypal, had to get them to refund. SHOP ELSEWEHRE!!!

This trader operates under several different names. Each website has the same phone number and each 'business' attracts the same kind of very negative reviews.

I ordered a car battery from autopointcarparts.co.uk aka justcarbatteries.co.uk aka MINTEXBRAKESHOP.co.uk aka boschcarbatteries.co.uk aka caraccessoriesandparts aka justhazebatteries.co.uk and other trading names from the same address in Preston: 11 Langcliffe Rd, Preston PR2 6UE. Check google maps for a tiny shop on a housing estate - not the professional companies presented on their websites.

I'm still waiting on my order and haven't even been sent a confirmation email, or any form of acknowledgement, even though they took full payment from my credit card right away. Their phone is constantly engaged or rings out. They completely ignore emails.

EDIT: I managed to get one answer to multiple phone calls. A woman answered "hello" like you were phoning someone's house. Promised a confirmation email that never arrived.

I've now received a battery. Not the one I ordered. No paperwork, product packaging, receipt, warranty details or anything. The battery was loosely wrapped in thin bubblewrap and put in a loose cardboard box. I'm not even sure it's a new battery as the labels are peeling and it's scratched in places. I've written a complaint to my credit card company.

Disgusting way to treat customers

I placed order online on 9 November and after a week yet to receive my Bosch 096 battery. Phoned this supplier thrice, but they gave false assurances [will deliver in two days etc]. Have paid through my PayPal account, asked for refund and no response from UHF distribution ltd who received money. Please be warned do not deal with this supplier even though batteries may be cheaper, but no delivery of the item ordered!
I like confirm that after eight days after placing order this car batteries supplier has delivered Bosch 096 battery to my address. Unfortunately, JCB [Just Car Batteries] has been lacking in poor communication with its customers, so do not expect response to your queries with respect to car battery delivery date[s]. One just has to take a chance, if one wants a cheaper car battery of well known brands like Bosch or Varta to be supplied by this not so communicative battery supplier.

I bought from the web site justhazebatteries.co.uk, but it seems that a few different web sites are all owned by autopoint. When my Hayes gel batteries failed at just over a year old (they normally last 3-4 years), I contacted the company and was ignored by email. When I telephoned them, they told me to send the batteries back to them so they could test them. I arranged a courier (costing £12.51) to send the batteries back to them, but now can get no response from the company. Not only did I waste £75 on the batteries, but it adds insult to injury that the company now has my money and my batteries. If you are thinking of buying from these people, then YES, the batteries may be cheaper than elsewhere, but ask yourself WHY might this be?

Ordered a Bosch battery before reading some of these bad reviews.
However, ordered Thursday and delivered Monday am. Very well packed,very good price,fast delivery!
Only thing missing was the email to say when dispatched but neighbour was able to take delivery.
Recommended.

I'm glad there is somewhere I can review this supplier now. Batteries delivered with acid around the top of the batteries. Acid was delivered in a used anti freeze container so could be contaminated. No paperwork on delivery or guarantee, Batteries are next to useless after 2 years. Draw your own conclusions...

Ordered Bosch S5010 from JCB on Tuesday as they were the cheapest on the net by £25 with free delivery. Received on Thursday before 12:00

Bought a battery & brake pads for my Golf. Ordered online on 19 October and received on 21 October. Items were well packed and exactly what I ordered. Email confirmation with all my tracking info was received. All in all a smooth transaction so not sure what the other reviews are about. I'll be shopping with them again.

Bought a car battery for my VW Passat and it arrived prompt and packaged well highly recommended, I have bought other stuff over the past few months find the service fast and good value for money.

This website is awesome when it comes to car batteries, I highly appreciate the excellent service this website has provided me with, I have never experienced any issues. It's a shame that there are particular trolls out there who are purposely leaving bad reviews on many websites including this one claiming that they have received a poor service etc without ever ordering. I just want to make it clear that this is a truly great website, it's so easy to use, packaging is always on point, I never even bother tracking my items, delivery has always been quick.

Having paid for two Bosch S5 110AH batteries over the internet, 0n the 29th of October, they arrived but without an invoice, no paperwork. So I then phoned them six times in the last month telling them that I need an invoice or I do not have a guarantee. Also sent an e-mail to the company saying the same thing. I have not heard anything from the them.
Do not deal with these people, they seem to be persistent liars and cheats. Price is not everything.

The parts did finally arrive. Seems in the UK that cheap parts = cheap service.
Thank you Mr Sugar for introducing the concept. Britain will never be the same again.

Ordered a CTEK charger from them just over a year go, failed over the weekend and has a 5 yr warranty. JCB just dont want to know, rude on the phone and dismissive, despite thier obligations under the sale of goods act. Have also failed to answer any emails. This lot are best just avoided, all they want is your money and thats it, on your own if anything goes wrong. Steer well clear.

Avoid at all costs. If you don't you will face frustration over a period of weeks - months
They will never answer your phone calls or enable you to leave a message. They will never respond to any requests for information.
They will not acknowledge anything as being their fault or bad service.
They will not deliver the order safely or correctly.
However... They will offer zero customer service.

I bought a battery charger from these crooks UHF dis on ebay, it had to be returned after a few months and being checked by the AA as faulty its been returned and now they have failed to return my money costs or respond to message today the law sale of goods act says they should return our money immediately but we have been ignored.

I now have no faulty charger, avoid the RAC ones, and no money.

trading standards will be informed in the morning.

I have their customer service messages which are clearly in breach of the law.

it doesn't help right now but my intention is to take them to court and embarrass them if my funds are not returned tomorrow, 10am, I will be filing with the county court for loss and costs incurred due to its failure, which will significantly increase from the £40 they owe us.

Don't spend a penny with these guys if you value your money.

Has my battery go on e46 BMW m3, obviously finding this out sunday I ordered a battery so it would be up and running by midweek, or so I thought. Ordered Bosch battery on Sunday afternoon, was around £15 cheaper than the next best price (now I know why). Website says to expect an email to confirm purchase and tracking for delivery. Monday arrives and no email, I try calling 5-10 times monday with no answer just an endless ring, already concerned at this point. Tuesday and still no email, try calling another 10 or so times until somebody picks up, give them my details and told it should be weds or latest thurs and an email will be sent right away to track it. So it's now Thursday morning and I just know it not turning up so I call again, I get through and the same guy tells me they called me the previous day to tell me they couldn't get hold of the battery I ordered. One missed call, no voicemail and that was there only attempt to let me know, even though the money was taken from my account on Monday/Tuesday. So I instantly demanded a refund and told them I'll go elsewhere and thanked them for wasting my time. Don't bother, just pay a bit more from a well known company.

Ordered the Bosch battery Tuesday and it arrived Thursday morning. Battery was in over 20 feet of cling film within cardboard box and was okay. Voltage is 12.7 as I unwrapped it, which is more than enough.

I bought a new battery, when it arrived it was flat... Which I thought you wasn’t meant to let them go flat????
Anyway i charged for 24hrs! and still it wasn’t full.
I phoned 3-4 times couldn’t get anyone there..
Emailed them...NO REPLIES
In the end I disputed it via PayPal and finally they answered!!!
BUT
They called me a liar? And said all batteries are tested before leaving and it was impossible and I’m a liar..

VERY VERY POOR SERVICE, HORRIBLE PEOPLE, STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Far better companies out there, even if you have to pay £5-10 more it’s worth it!

well well what can I say I was going from pillar to post until I came across justcarbatteries.co.uk the service and advise I received was 10/10. i was after a few batteries being a farmer We needed spare batteries and different size batteries for the tractors and agricultural equipment batteries. we were amazed one website did all this.
The level of aftercare service was amazing . no. hassle warranties for the batteries i bought over 30 different batteries i purchased for different jobs. from 2010 to 2014 only one item was a bit under the weather which was replaced i was amazed. at the level of service the ladies care above beyond the call of duty when it comes to warranties. the sales team are not pushy sales people they talk to you like you on some project with jimmy clarkson on topgear. they the product knowledge makes me think they must real science techies when it comes to batteries. me and my are grateful through these trouble justcarbatteries has helped us float the boat if it was not for justcarbatteries heavens knows where we would be excellent recommend yes time time again.
